As someone who is a great fan of romance anime and has seen a lot of them, this was by far the worst one I’ve ever had the chance to witness. Don’t get me wrong. I’ve heard that the manga is much better, and even though I haven’t read it, I’m inclined to agree, because I can’t imagine anything worse than this.
I’ll keep it simple: the whole anime is rushed, and therefore you have no chance to form any connection with the main characters. It focuses more on the side characters, who, in my opinion, are not very interesting. To me, for someone to say
