Big start, big flop.
That's what I would say, to describe this anime.
First 1-3 episodes give us great action, a cool albeit popular premise and nice character design. However the anime quickly falls off both in animation quality and flops with it's pacing. As engaged as I was with the first episodes, by episode 7, I felt only the need to finish the show. There was no tension and whatever action there was, the authors decided to break with unamusing and unoriginal backstory flashbacks. Fights didn't feel as fluent as in the first episode thus making the whole thing lose the one element that made it
...
work till then.

Surprisingly good.
I'll make this review short and sweet for anyone still on edge about whether to give this series a shot. I'll try to keep it spoiler-free and briefly describe different aspects of the anime, plus my overall thoughts.
Art/animation:
Some might consider it to be a mediocre or nothing out of the ordinary.
However there is beauty in simplicity. Frieren takes us on a journey with masterfully made landscapes, meticulous and smooth animation and attention to detail. It may not be jjk, and the art style may not please anyone, however it is important to note that it fits the theme and overall atmosphere perfectly, any other
...
would take away from the experience (9/10)
Music/VA/sound:
I'm nearly always pleased with Japanese voice acting. Thus there isn't much to say about apart from the fact that it's spot on.
Music however is something much closer on what I could give an opinion. It's great. Pleasant, medievalish music in the background fittingly sets the tone. The sting instrument in the foreground creates a very distinctive cohesiveness. I'm so glad we don't get an average background music like so other anime tend to give, especially in the fantasy setting. It's something we should praise as apart from a handful, most orient towards a very non-descriptive modern ambience music rather than something that appropriately sets the mood and further immerses us into the world.
(10/10)
Story/characters:
If you're looking for action, this isn't it; and it's a good thing.
It is far more resemblant of iyashikei genre, rather than shounens or seinens. The pacing is slow, only picking up speed in the second half, if not the final quarter of the show. We shouldn't try to rush it, watching a couple episodes might feel like an eternity, but it's the feeling of nostalgia, sometimes melancholy, the serenity and joy, sadness and regret that separates this show from so many others. Spectrum of emotions, tactfully ingrained into all episodes allow us to reflect and heal our own feelings. All characters are well written, perhaps apart from a couple side characters that felt as if they were supposed to be more important and left us wondering more about them. First couple of episodes might scare of many viewers and I honestly wish we got some action pad time just to ease us into how what the anime wanted give us.
Despite that, the story itself isn't complex, albeit the world is. I wish to know more about it, yet the shot left me without giving enough to satisfy my curiosity.
(8/10)
Overall:
I feel that my review is vague enough, not to ruin anyone's watch.
Yet gives enough information to decide whether it's something for you or not.
For me the initial 6-8 episodes were mediocre, and only after a while I came to appreciate it. Music and the pleasant animation are definitely the string points of the show, soon after the story and characters, albeit it takes a while to appreciate those. I strongly recommend it to anyone who enjoys slow paced shows, perhaps lotr fans will especially find it enjoyable as it does remind me of those books. (9/10)

Don't Get the hate.
Seriously I don't get why reviews here are so low.
People seem to have a lot of bias towards this particular anime, I do not know where it stems from. Seeing such low scores for music and art (going as low as 1 and 2) makes people look simply childish in the way they approach reviewing this show.
So let me give everyone that consider watching this a glimps on what to expect.
I will shortly dissect each major part (art, sound, story, characters/overall pacing).
Art (8.5/10):
Seeing the poster for this anime made me hopeful for some flat colour type of approach with a lot
...
of linework giving it depth, somewhat simlar to a dorohedoro style. We don't get that which is fine, overall, the quality we receive is great (to be expected from MAPPA), animation for the most part looks smooth and enticing. Fight scenes as a whole usually hook you in. However the one's that are supposed to be more "epic" at least for me are the ones that seem the most bland and boring. Perhaps it's due to preference in seeing smooth rather realistic fights rather than ones that remind me of old shonens where "powers" are the main thing. Despite that, this category overall is most likely the strongest point for this anime.
Sound (7.5/10):
I will be brief here. I rarely notice issues with voice acting, I watched the japanese voiceover as I do with most anime (unless specifically the anime comes from korea or china and I notice it in time). It's great, nothing to frown on. The music is rather catchy, nowhere near a masterpiece but it does stand out and you will notice some nicer pieces playing throughout the show. And I mean that in a good way, they add to the vibe which is exactly the kind of "noticeable" that you should have if you want the soundtrack to standout usually. Albeit it is not the ultimate be all, end all (I might aregue it does sound bit basic as much as music goes in general, rather soulless but it does the job well), it deserves a higher note just for not being the default shonen soundtrack.
Story (4/10):
Probably the weakest element of the show. The story is chaotic and rather bland, since it's a shonen anime I honestly don't care too much as long as it doesn't actually try to scare me off or bore me. In short. The narrative revolves around a high school tournament in which the strongest high school fighter is allowed to make any wish they want. Underlaying theme however is that the fighters were chosen since one of theme may hold a powerful artifact that the organisers need. We follow a group of high schoolers fighting through the tournament and slowly uncovering the plot behind this tourney.
Rest would be spoilers however there are some issues, we never find out the exact reasons and motivations apart from some bland (for good, for bad, "artifact stronk") kind of excuses. I never really fully grasped the mechanics behind abilities that were shown in the show and thus it made it less entertaining to look at. In summary, story is rather boring, world depiction is barely existent.
Characters and Pacing (6/10):
Apart from a couple of characters, most seem to go through a sped up classic weak to strong route for this genre. They have their personalities sure, they are nothing special though and with the amount of episodes that we had it was hard to actually get attached to some or to understand their personality, motivations and so forth.
Pacing was decent albeit some aspects should've been drawn out bit more to add bit more detailed explanations behind some of the shows story and character aspects.
One strong point is the humour, I did get a chuckle every now and then which made it a smoother watch despite overall story flaws.
In summary, it's not a bad show, it has it's strong points, as long as you want to watch another shounen with a decent style and vibe, it will be enjoyable enough. I believe there was more potential to it and thus I give it mixed feelings.

First review for this manhwa for all you that had not decided.
I'll try to keep it short and sweet + relatively spoiler free, albeit I might mention a few things from the early chapters.
First of all some of my thoughts. It's weird that this webtoon has such a low rating relative to similar positions like "Solo Leveling" or "Player Who Has returned 10,000 years Later".
It has interesting ideas and a bit more unique story than aformentioned titles. Albeit for now some of them seem to have wasted potential, however "Standard of Reincarnation" is still on-going and so many of the things that the titles lacks
...
in, may be developed later on.
Story-wise the manga is not very distinctive, apart from having a lesser god as a companion to our MC (+ few things I mention little bit further), the rest seems to follow a rather basic revenge storyline with typical for the genre "overpowered" main hero theme. With that being said I do enjoy that our MC is not transported into a different world, instead he goes into the future, moreover the idea of taking over a different body insted of popping out of thin air is also something bit more fresh than most other titles from this category. The characters are neither particularly good nor bad, they are definitely nothing new nor special and follow a rather schematic development. They are likeable and at least most of them seem to get explanations on why they act the way they do instead of having them being assholes just for the sake of it (there are exceptions however there is a decent mix of both so thats not an issue, morevoer we will still probably get more depth on each as the webtoon progresses). (7/10)
Art is okay, I love the weapon designs, they tend to keep to the more realistic side of thigns which I appreciate (I don't mind overly large weapons, however the ones that have shapes that seem just too unrealistic or are too rich in their design give a feeling of goofiness, we don't get that here). Albeit there is a lack in variation, it's decent enough. Character designs are nice and consistent with the world building which is also something I usually prefer. Backgrounds and technicalities are made well, they're nothing outstanding though (as in windbreaker or solo levelling quality). (6/10)
Pacing is good, I haven't felt as if the manhwa was dragging at any point and got me enticed enought to finish all available chapters in one go. (8/10)
I enjoyed the concept of how the characters get stronger, how they acquire their skills and spells. The concept is a bit muddy and I don't understand it fully, however it's a bit more uncommon approach which has great potential if they author approaches it right. (8/10)
The toon lacks in world building. I feel like that's the biggest issue. We don't get much info on how the world that we see operates. How do the towns look? The common folk. Who exactly are the nobles and what weight they give to the society they found themselves in. You can go on and on since they only explanations we get is on the families that we follow, relationships between them and that they are important (we do not really know why? What do they have of value, how do they contribute, what do they control, etc.) It's something I wish the manhwa would spare some time to inform us on in order to better undestand the significance to actions that the characters perform. (5/10)
Feels like it could be a very good position for all that starve for some isekai or fantasy titles. It's entertaining with good panel structure and makes me want to read more, there are issues that may be resolved down the line.
For now it feels like a decent 7/10 since I feel like the score beneath 7 is not appreciative of some of the unique elements for the genre relative to some more popular titles.

Review time!
Im putting in spoiler warning just in case.
So i won't be doing a stiff analysis and scoring. It will be more of a ranty review, but I will make bullet points that I will focus on.
Expectations:
I will start of with my expectations going in. Initially I got to know about the anime through the amv with the lead your partner song.
I didn't know much but I expected a sports romance anime. However after watching you may quickly realise... This isn't neither sports nor really romance (well a bit). I won't lie. I felt bit cheated and didn't really like the way the authors went
...
about the whole thing.
Story and premise:
Aight so lets get into the premise. THe anime is set in a sci-fi utopia essentially ruled by a single mega corporation. It is from the get go a much different setting than what I expected, however I didn't mind it neccesarily. The plot focuses on a high tech robot prototype that in at it's core is supposed to have emotions or feelings and help people feel better. Cute right? Yeah well for some weird reason the robot is sent into a school as an early test which from the get go doesn't make sense and no matter how the plot tries to justify it, it's just dumb.
The robot of course causes issues, however our heroes of the story try to cover up the robot prototype. THey do it since our main main character, the golden girl one might say is the head researchers daughter and her mothers job is on the line.
Well this doesn't sound bad, however the anime is basically a musical where at least for me, most songs felt generic and the samey (apart from "lead the partner" which I may be biased towards however I do feel that it stands out the most from the rest of the repertoire and is in my opinion the best one).
moreover the robot for most of the anime is quite irritating due to the abstract behaviours, which as much as they are justified simply didnt resonate with me.
Characters:
I have a bad memory with names but the main cast is a cool guy, cool guys gf, nerdy guy with a crush on our heroine, the heroine smarty pants and a friendly jock. They're all quite run of the mill and the plot revolves around them trying to hide the robot in the mean time noticing how the robot helps them solve their issues and make them happy.
Music:
It's quite bad, not my type at least. Feels very bland and samey as I aformentioned. There will be couple songs that I would say are good but other than that they felt intrusive, out of place and boring.
Art:
Art is great as one might expect from a full length film.
I would not recommend it, but I also wouldn't go as far at to tell someone to stray away.

Tbh, I don't tend to write reviews, I do so whenever an anime/show/game/etc has something that in my opinion needs some sort of discussion, to be talked about.
I wont bother with long describtions about each feature even though I usually try to.
The story briefly speaks about a young girl, she wakes up in an unknown place and shortly appears to be in some sort of structure with x amount of floors, where each floor contains a different killer, her first killer Zack is also the main companion of our little loli hero. After certain events, they agree to absurd terms where he promises to
...
kill her once they escape.
*SPOILERS HERE*
it turns out she killed her parents, the main antagonist is some dude that tries to figure out how religion works and is on the second to last floor.
*SPOILERS END*
Art style is ok, it isnt amazing, but it isnt bad or eye hurting generic. It has it's specific traits (jaw line is drawn in a very appealing and specific manner)
I liked it. the colour scheme is quite ok, though I'd prefer it to be either all toned or all colorful (or atleast change the whole scheme accordingly and dont leave characters colorful with bland backgrounds)
Regarding sound it was ok, voices were ok though Zacks voice was dreadful to hear because of his absurd laugh.
Character (I will decribe my opinion in the enjoyment part, I will include more details regarding all of the above topics since I like to distinguish more of an objective and descriptory part first and my subjective thoughts second)
They seemed bland and illogical, so were their abillities. Sometimes they acted in a realistic manner and sometimes they were refusing to accept such thing as physics and logic.
Both main characters were edgy "traumatic background" sad cliche personas.
Didnt enjoy them, their enemies lacked proper background and motivations (they had some but they were bland and didnt really protrude).
*SPOILERS AHEAD*
Enjoyment my overall opinion:
So lets get to the core, my main issue and the thing I find interesting to talk about is the fact that the whole anime seems so ironic and self aware.
It seems that some illogical facts during the anime are pointed outs by characters, making it either very clever or an accident because of the fact that rest of the show seems very serious.
So thats the main thing that struck me positively.
But I do consider this anime to be a serious show and not some kind of deliberate caricature of cliched series.
And thats the problem, it's trying to be edgy, but ends up being cringy with vague nonsensical and cliched characters (loli blue eyed blond quiet yet caring character with emotional problems, a middeschooler edgelord dream girl, a tall bandaged guy being all about killing and trauma, in a hoodie with a giant scythe, grotesque "psycho" yet "loveable" (cough cough) characters)
they all seem like the target are introvertic edgy kids, making it quite a cringy experience.
The show doesn't really explain motivations, Our character Rachel on one hand is emotionless, on the other she's cliched triggered by certain words or actions, which makes her "unique" for everyone in the building for some reason different for everyone (the eye motive is bad and lets all admit it), she contradicts herself by shooting the judge, yet refuses to commit suicide.
There are many more problems with her character and the story but lets move on to the next
Zack kills because of some trauma (doesn't really explain this kind of urge and sympathy towards main protagonist, its either vague or doesnt have sense, as if writers thought that we would take it for granted and move on... also the blind nice old guy cliche was such a bloody cheap move), Eddie who's main trait is that he likes graves, we don't know how come he's inhumanly agile and supposedly can become invisible (ye ye, he's great at hidding, but the anime straight up shows that he dissapears and his agility doesnt make it easier to explain.
An obsessive doctor who is very very fond of eyes (I never really heard why exactly apart from the fact that he has a bad eyesight)
A Sadistic judge (cant remember her name), she enjoys giving "justice" in her own twisted sense of justice (looks like a character from Danganronpa and is just as irritating as Zack with her laugh)
A priest that tries to create his own religion (which is literally like catholism, so much it makes our protagonist think that way till the very end, just until he doesnt explain it; also witch and inquisition cliche)
He's similar to other villains who's causes are "motiveted" by something bigger. He isn't really all bad but the way he executes his plan is ridiculous.
The plot isn't really compelling either, neither the narrative portion of it, it's predictable, boring and repetetive, I don't mind shallow series, I enjoy them, but when an anime tries to act like some sort of philosophical and psychological series when in the end it's just an edgy backstory trauma weep train, it's just plain dissappointing, if the characters had more depth less edge and wouldn't act so ridiculous, it could have been a decent show.

*MINOR SPOILERS POSSIBLE*
Sooooo~ first of I have to say that I'm truly shocked by the low rating of this anime. It wouldn't be weird if not for the fact that many other worse anime had similar or higher scores.
My first impression for this anime was a bit sceptical. I've heard so much good opinions yet the first episode seemed like a generic mash of typical very different characters and personas that you may see in any other medicore anime.
I didn't quit watching obviously. I hoped that I will survive those 22 eps and give it a score but the second and so on episode/s
...
completely changed this anime. Story got better, characters started to be integral and natural. The music was really amazing. I was really amazed by the anime. It may have been too short (I've seen some people saying that the studio was struggling with integrating many parts of the original series into the anime), last few episodes had some dialogue mistakes (maybe not mistakes but it felt somewhat bizarre and hilarious when it supposed to be dramatic. You'll see for yourselves).
So this is more or less my opinion and side notes for this series now to the particular aspects!
Story-As you get from the synopsis, the story revolves about a teen boy and characters that came alive from manga, novels and anime.
At first it may seem kind of generic and with many plot holes, but as the story gets further, most things get unique and really immersive. It was dramatic, had good plot twists. I really really enjoyed it.
Art-It was great, I loved the way those characters were were made and the whole backgrounds, it was really pretty and comfortable to look at.
Sound-I'm kinda music whore. If the anime has good music then I'm in. The muisic here was somewhat similar to the kill la kill series (main theme atleast, it was different in many ways but the particular fighting theme that was always in the background was marvelous. So was the opening and ending music. Obviously voice actros did there job perfectly. I loved Chikujoins voice especially.
Character-Well, as much as every character was kinda generic (they had those generic aspects of themselves because of the fact that the whole anime kinda shows how hard it is to stay in the business and how hard it is to be unique as a creator), they still were very enjoyable with quite a particular backstory (kinda sad that we didnt see too much of Mirokujis and Chikujoin's backstory, we just got some verbal exposition). It was really easy to get immered by them. Though I really had a feeling that many characters were basically ripping off other known characters from different anime's and just mashing them together (neon genesis evangelion, monogatari, cowboy bebop, any shounen fantasy "in game" anime, shaman king, k project, etc. especially with Kanoya and Chikujoin)
Overall:
I really loved this anime, it was entertaining, had a message to it, had magnificent music and good characters with reallly good narration and action.

(My first review, so sorry for possible mistakes)
*May contain minor spoilers*
First of I have to say that I think about memories a lot, and I'm really emotional when it comes to that.
First episode was something truly great.
Interesting characters, story and aspepects, line/graphic. Music was something that I wasn't really happy about, although I have to say it's mostly my taste.
As I was going further into the anime, the episodes were getting worse, not dramatically but I felt that they aren' something unique.
...
Laste episodes brought back all my faith and enjoyment for the anime.
Since I got my opinion covered, lets go to the actual review:
Story: 9/10
As we see in the synopsis, the story is about Tsukasa Mizugaki, Isla and his new work in the SAI Corporations.
I didn't really like the futuristic placement of the anime; fortunately though, It wasn't so invasive for me while watching. First episodes were truly dramatic and enteraining, later on in the series unfortuantely we get few
*MINOR SPOILER*
episodes about Isla's and Tsuakra's romance/relationship, most of these episodes were simply unenteraining.
Fortunately, later on in the series we get much better "version" of these episodes, which are both entertaining and dramatic.
Last episode was on the clannad level of sadness. (and it's the biggest reason fo 9/10 story)
Art: 10/10
I dont have to say much about it. It's truly outstanding piece of art.
Sound: 7/10
Music in the anime was one of the biggest issues for me; it was really typical and "sweet" for me, although some of the tracks were great, the majority of time we get something that I personally don't like. (sweet pos stylized music that reminds me of Zero no Tsukaima)
The voices of characters were great, as in most of the animes these day.
Characters: 7/10
And here's another issue with the anime, the characters are boring/typical in every
way possible. We got the typical tsundere, a rough senpai that cares about others even if shows some physical abuse, etc.
The main protagonist beame a good character in the middle os the series.
I also liked the process of Isla acting/psychology change.
Enjoyment: 9/10
Even though this anime had really typical aspects, I just didn't get bored with it. It was something that got me really surprised, and in the end, I'm happy that I watched it with to the end with joy.
Overall: 9/10
I has its ups and downs but in the end, one of the more dramatic/sad animes out there.
