Both have pretty good humor, music, and great character chemistry. Nodame cantabile is more stretched out than Kids on the slope but the latter has better animation and nice character designs and world-building than the former.

Both are my absolute favorite action manga. Both have the right amount of comedy, drama, and supreme action. Absolute brilliance.

Both are pretty good yuri anime with no excessive fan service, delivering the romance and drama aspects of a relationship pretty neatly.

Both have THE BEST fantasy visuals in my eyes, and both discover the meaning of love so beautifully that I can't praise both of them enough. Both of them are animated fantasy movies at its finest. Just that Maquia is a stand alone movie and Violet evergarden movie is a continuation of its TV series which is equally beautiful.
