This anime needs to be reviewed in 2 parts, since the first half is pretty bad, and the second half is kind of average.
Episode 1: 6/10
Episodes 2-6: 2/10
Episodes 7-10: 6/10
The first six episodes are essentially introducing the characters, giving the harem some backstory and introductions, and, with almost no farming, and pretty bad combat scenes so if you want to skip the first half, save yourself a couple of hours and just read the first 10 chapters of the manga, then start from the 7th episode. The only differences betwee the manga and anime are the colour and voices. They are otherwise completely identical,

frame by frame and line by line. MC (and his friend Testa who barely shows up) is the only one who thinks of himself as a farmer, since he never behaves like a farmer except when he spends around 30 seconds per episode talking very fast and excitedly about farming, only for something to interrupt him, and he continues being a generic and clueless fantasy harem MC. Did I mention CGI monsters? yeah those awful things make an appearance in the first half, and not in the good way.
The Last six episodes are the anime that the trailer and opening promise. A fairly standard fantasy anime, with some farming mixed in, with an MC who is weirdly overpowered for no apparent reason, and goes around fighting, sometimes using farming tools and vegetables instead of his fists. Does some things we might expect from a generic fantasy MC, but also gets some farming in. Also, he becomes (somewhat) less clueless as a harem MC, and seems to progress as a character a little bit? Or maybe it's just a backstory instead of actual character development, but that's generic fantasy anime for you, what do you expect.
I'll replace this review with a new one once I finish watching, but in the 7th-10th episode, there have been no CG monsters, significantly more farming, more backstory, more harem members with MC being just as clueless, and combat scenes made better with the insertion of vegetables and farming tools.
Conclusions:
Premise was promising, but poorly executed: could have had a farmer who spends most of his time farming, be OP and destroy the monsters, because they threaten his farm. Instead, we got generic MC, who says a few farming related lines now and then, and has a harem that serves no purpose.
Plot:2 I still haven't figured out if there is a plot in this story.
Characters: 4 Each character doesn't really change after their first scene. They're all completely generic too.
Animation: 6 not bad, but nothing special either. Most of the monsters were animated properly, but a handful were CG, for no apparent reason.
Overall: 5 This anime served its purpose adequately, but ultimately missed the mark. Entertaining fluff to fill the time while waiting for better anime to be produced.
