This anime is like the warm morning sun shining through the window on a Saturday. Quiet, gentle, a little shy, but it stays in your heart for a long time. Kase-san and Morning Glories is a short film, but emotionally it does more than many feature-length romances.
The story focuses on Yui and Tomoko Kase — two completely different girls who are connected by their first love. And it's not a drama full of screams and tears, but a very subtle story about being in love for the first time. About uncertainty, about holding hands, about fear of the future.
What I liked most was that their
...
relationship is shown normally. No fetishisation, no cheap sensationalism. Just two girls trying to make sense of their feelings and the world around them. It's incredibly refreshing.

This anime is one big vibe of ‘teenage butterflies in your stomach, but with a touch of drama that seemed like the end of the world at the time.’ And let me put it this way: if you like school romances that smell of winter, shyness and first crushes, then The Moment You Fall in Love is really enjoyable.
This is the second part of the story from Zutto Mae Kara Suki Deshita, so if you watched the previous film, here you get more of a ‘second point of view’. The plot focuses on twin brothers and their relationship with Hiyori. And oh my... the drama
...
here is like a high school soap opera, but in the best sense.
On the one hand, it's sweet, but on the other, it's so painful that it reminds you of all those moments when you were a teenager trying to figure out your emotions and completely failing to do so. 😭
The biggest plus of the film is that it is honest. Even if the story is predictable, these little scenes, glances, misunderstandings, all those ‘I thought that...’ moments — are really relatable. But sometimes the characters behave so dramatically, as if they were experiencing the greatest tragedy in the history of love. And then you think, ‘Guys, let's take a breath and talk like adults’ 😅
Animation and music
Pretty and delicate, with pastel colours, it perfectly matches the atmosphere of first love. And as always in HoneyWorks projects, music is the heart of the entire film.
Summary
Overall, The Moment You Fall in Love is a pleasant, slightly dramatic school romance that isn't perfect but has its charm.
It's a film that makes you remember your own teenage crushes and all those silly, beautiful emotions that seemed like the end of the world and the beginning of everything at once.

I don't know why I always fall for the promise of ‘a collection of horror stories’ and then end up with the same expression on my face: 😐 ‘Is that it?’.
Because seriously, Itou Junji: Maniac looks like something that was supposed to be a feast for horror fans, but in practice it's more like an appetiser that leaves you hungry for something better.
It's an anthology, so we have short, independent stories, each with its own idea, atmosphere and absurdity. And that's cool, because Itou has always been the king of weird ideas, from snails in human bodies to haunted heads in the sky. Except... this
...
animation format didn't quite pull it off.
Some episodes really work — they can be disturbing, strange and atmospheric (e.g. ‘The Hanging Balloons’ or ‘The Strange Hikizuri Siblings’). But a large part of them fall flat.
Instead of genuine anxiety, we get strangely wooden animations, a lack of tension and somewhat comical dubbing.
Summary
Honestly? Itou Junji: Maniac is a good Halloween marathon, but not something that will stay with you for long.
It's the kind of series you watch to get into the mood, but not to really scare yourself.
For someone familiar with Itou's original manga, it's a bit disappointing. For someone just starting, it can be an interesting introduction, but not scary.

This anime is a bit like a summer storm, it comes suddenly, makes an impression, and before you know it... It's over. 😅The film is only 25 minutes long, so it's more like a long music video than a full-fledged story, but visually it's a little gem.
Characters
The main characters are likeable, but too flat to really move you. Noruda is supposed to be mysterious and “magical”, but apart from her strange aura, we learn almost nothing about her. 🌀This is more of a film about emotion than characters, and it shows.
Animation and music
This is where Typhoon Noruda shines. ✨Colours, light, shots of the sky, rain,
...
water, every scene looks like an illustration from an art book. You can see that people from the former Studio Ghibli had a hand in this. The music also fits the mood, calm, melancholic, a bit like a summer afternoon just before a storm.
Summary
This anime is an aesthetic storm with emotional emptiness inside. It's not boring because it's short, but after watching it, you feel like, ‘Hmm... is that it?’ It's perfect if you want to see something visually beautiful, but not necessarily engaging in terms of plot.
💬 Final Thoughts:
Cute, peaceful, but without much of a “wow” factor. It's enjoyable to watch, but even quicker to forget.

All right, let me put it this way... this anime is one of those titles that you watch partly out of curiosity, partly for the memes, and partly because you want to see if it really is as strange as it sounds. Spoiler alert: it is. 😅
The story begins like a classic isekai: a boy finds himself in an RPG game... only with his own mum. And no, that's not a metaphor.
At first, the idea seems quite amusing; it's supposed to be a parody of all the isekai clichés, and at the same time a bit of a comedy about the relationship between a mother
...
and her son. And indeed, at times it works. Masato's mother is charming, overly sweet, and the whole ‘mum does everything better’ theme can be comical. The problem? The humour wears thin very quickly. After a few episodes, you get the impression that you're watching the same joke over and over again – mum hugs too much, mum accidentally flirts, mum saves the day again, and Masato suffers from cringe level 3000. 😂
I won't deny that in places it was really charming and even heartwarming after all, the story touches on parent-child relationships, lack of communication, and the fact that sometimes a mother just wants to be part of your world. But... most of the time it's just fan service and silly stuff with an RPG flavour.
Characters
Masato is a typical isekai protagonist – bland, a little frustrated, a little pathetic, but understandable (who wouldn't be embarrassed with a super-powerful, overprotective mother breathing down their neck?). His mum, Mamako, is the definition of MILF energy, but in a sweet and slightly too perfect version. The rest of the girls are typical archetypes, nothing surprising there.
Appearance and music
The animation is okay, colourful, light, nothing special, but it fits the mood. The music is typical of fantasy anime from the 2010s, pleasant but not memorable. The opening is cute, although it would be more suited to an anime about idols than an isekai with a mum. 😅
Summary
Honestly? Okaa-san Online is a nice guilty pleasure. I wouldn't recommend it to someone looking for a serious isekai or a deeper story, but if you feel like watching something silly and light-hearted after work, why not? It's an anime you watch with a slight smile, sometimes with embarrassment, but without regret. Perfect for popcorn and switching off your brain for the evening.

Beautiful chaos. Interesting, dark, but uneven. A great concept that didn't quite live up to its own weight. King of Thorns is an adaptation of Yuji Iwahara's manga, aiming to condense a long, complex story into a single film. The result? A lot of disorder, but also a few truly atmospheric moments.
Animation & Art Style
A huge plus here. 🔥
The scenery is impressive, overgrown ruins, post-apocalyptic nature, dark tunnels and biological horror-style monsters. The combination of 2D and 3D worked surprisingly well.
Sound & Music
The soundtrack is atmospheric and, at times, builds tension really well. Especially in the first half of the film, you can hear
...
the horror and thriller influences. The voice acting is fine, although at times the dramatic scenes sound a little too theatrical.
Enjoyment & Overall Thoughts
King of Thorn is a film with enormous potential, a great idea, a good atmosphere, cool characters, but it tries to be too many things at once. It wants to be a horror film, a psychological drama, a philosophical parable and science fiction all at the same time. The result: instead of wow, we get a bit of confusion. Still, if you like survival, mystery and post-apocalyptic atmospheres with a touch of symbolism, it's worth watching. Not for the plot, but for the atmosphere and visual experience.

This is one of those films that at first glance looks like a classic fairy tale about a princess and a knight... except that instead of a horse, we have an aeroplane. 🛩️✨
The film combines romantic adventure and a melancholic atmosphere, as well as many beautiful scenes in the clouds. And although the whole thing is enjoyable to watch, sometimes you feel that the story could have gone deeper.
Animation & Art Style
Very nice, especially when it comes to aerial scenes. The sky, clouds, and landscapes – they look great and have a slight Studio Ghibli vibe to them. The planes and air battles are dynamic
...
and realistic, and you can feel the love for technical details here. The character design is simple but fitting. The whole thing has the aesthetic of a classic adventure film.
Sound & Music
The soundtrack is atmospheric – calm, slightly melancholic, perfectly matched to the romantic-dramatic tone. It's not super memorable, but it works during the viewing.
Enjoyment & Overall Thoughts
The Princess and the Pilot is a film that gives you a nice, quiet love story wrapped up in an adventure fantasy package. It doesn't cause any great shock or tears, but it leaves you with a slight ‘ah, that was nice’ feeling. It definitely works better on the level of atmosphere and aesthetics than as a super deep plot. It's like a romantic journey in the clouds, perfect for an evening when you want something nice and light, but not too demanding.

On paper, it sounds like a grand fantasy, a former warrior, a little girl, a battle with a mysterious illness, and a journey through a brutal world. In practice, The Deer King is a more intimate story about bonds and survival, set against an epic backdrop.
In the background, we have political conflict, imperialism, religious themes and the motif of ‘who deserves to survive’. Sounds epic? Yes, but the problem is that the film doesn't have time to develop all of this. Some of the themes are only touched upon, and the finale rushes a little to wrap up the story. But what works best is
...
the relationship between Van and Yuna. Intimate, touching, warm – it provides the emotional backbone of the entire story.
Animation & Art Style
The film is impressive in this regard.
Studio Production I.G. has created beautiful backgrounds, detailed landscapes and realistic motion animation. The scenes of nature, animals and the stag itself – wow. The atmosphere is a bit like Ghibli, only more serious. The fights are dynamic, though not as spectacular as they could be. However, the nature and atmosphere of the world are a huge plus.
Sound & Music
The music is beautiful, atmospheric, and often melancholic. It perfectly emphasises the emotions and mystical nature of the world. The opening and ending themes also have that certain something that sticks in your head. Voice acting: powerful, especially Van his voice conveys fatigue, strength and warmth all at once.
Enjoyment & Overall Thoughts
The Deer King is a film with heart and a beautiful world, but it gets a little lost in its attempt to be both an intimate drama and an epic fantasy tale. It works best when it focuses on Van and Yuna. It works worst when it tries to cram too much politics and lore into the limited running time of the film. Still, it's enjoyable to watch, and the emotions linger at the end.
Final Rating: 7/10 – Mixed Feelings (but worth watching)
Cute, emotional, but uneven. If you love fantasy stories with a father-child bond at the centre, it's definitely worth giving it a go.

Maboroshi is an anime that tries to tell the story of loss, emotion and coming of age in a very fairytale-like way. It has a melancholic tone, as if someone had combined A Silent Voice with the gentle world of Bakemono no Ko, only... quieter.
Not every anime film needs to shout to leave a mark - this one rather whispered.
Animation & Art Style
Wonder. Simply a marvel.
Maboroshi resembles a painting created with watercolour and light. Everything is delicate, pastel, soft, and the alternate world looks like it's from a child's imagination - and that's exactly the point. It's a film that you just want to watch
...
frame by frame, because there are so many visual gems. Even if the storyline loses something, the animation will hold you.
Sound & Music
Music? Subtle, beautifully synchronised with the mood. It doesn't exude emotion by force - it simply accompanies. Sometimes you don't even notice it's playing, and it works. Voice acting is gentle, calm. Fits the overall atmosphere - without being overly expressive, more along the lines of whispers and quiet sighs.
Enjoyment & Overall Thoughts
Maboroshi is an anime that needs to be felt, not understood. Perfect for an evening when you feel like sinking into something atmospheric, quiet and visually fabulous. But also, it's not a film for everyone. You won't get incisive dramas or super-intense experiences here - rather, a slightly hazy story of emotional coming of age that you'll either embrace with your heart or bounce off.
A beautiful, melancholic tale that says more with images than words. Touching, though not entirely emotionally engaging. For sensitive souls and fans of visual poetry.

If you've heard of the Ni no Kuni games, you probably had high expectations for the film - a Studio Ghibli-esque style, beautiful animation, an emotional story, and a magical world... Unfortunately, the film doesn't quite live up to that magic.
Instead of a grand adventure with heart and meaning, we get more of a fairytale chaos with a few cool ideas and a handful of wasted potential. But hey - at least it looks beautiful. 🎨✨
Animation & Art Style
This is where the film shines ✨. The colours, the designs, the backgrounds, the magic - everything looks lovely, with a typical Ghibli-light atmosphere. This is Ni
...
no Kuni's greatest asset.
The fight scenes and effects are dynamic and colourful, and the world has its charm. If only the story were as good as the visuals....
Sound & Music
The music is nice, though not outstanding - gentle, classically “fantasy”. It builds atmosphere well, but doesn't stay in the head. Voice acting is correct, although emotionally it sometimes lacks power.
Enjoyment & Overall Thoughts
The film has heart, but gets a little lost in trying to be an epic fantasy in too short a time. It will work perfectly as a Sunday anime to watch with someone younger - no deep analysis required.
If you approach it as a visual fable with an anime flavour, you might enjoy yourself. But if you're expecting a story on the level of Spirited Away or Your Name... prepare to be disappointed.
Ni no Kuni is a beautiful but chaotic film - for fans of aesthetics and light adventure. You watch with your eyes, but your heart stays in the real world.
