Wow , I am out of words. Truly a masterpiece. Mr. Nakamura Takashi is a great a story teller. The short lasts over 15 minutes , there are no dialogues yet it captures your attention. This short is the definition of " Show don't tell ".

Story - The story is a time lapse about a photo studio and the events that take place in and around the photo studio . There is a lot going on this 15 minute short fil.

Animation - The animation is clean and crisp. Shashinkan has a very distinct art style. It is colorful without being too bright. It ... is aesthetically very good looking. The short uses 2d animation throughout the duration.

Music and sound - The music was great . Special mention Mr. Ichikawa Jun the music composer of this short. The music gives you a pleasant feeling , you feel relaxed throughout the film. The sound mixing was pretty good.

It is not the story that is great it is always the story telling that is great. You can tell a story just within 15 minutes without dragging it for 13 episodes. Shashinkan was a great experience. I would strongly recommend this show to everyone.

A very relatable and thought provoking film.

STORY - The story is about a nighthawk who is considered ugly and less talented compared to his siblings humming bird and kingfisher. I will not reveal much since the film is very short.

ANIMATION - The animation is great. It is aesthetically pleasing. The colors used looks great when you watch it on high resolution. The Art style was unique and it felt like i was watching a painting.

It is a very symbolic story. I really liked how the hawk overcomes its inferiority complex , realizes its true value and becomes a star in the sky. Very ... inspiring short . I would strongly recommend this to everyone.

Very quirky. Hardly 2 minutes runtime and there is so much going on in it. I am surprised how they managed to make such a detailed animation with very less budget. I would strongly recommend it to aspiring filmmakers.


STORY - The story is very simple a girl gets rejected by her crush and she trips and falls and flies across the city. On paper it might look ridiculous but the execution is out of the world. It requires immense conviction to tell a story like this. Salute to the creators of this short.

ANIMATION - The animation is god tier. This short proves that you dont ... need humongous budgets to create a quality anime. The animation is better than many of the modern animes. There is no usage of horrible CGI that a lot of the modern shounens do. Pure fluid animation.

My only gripe with this short is that it could have been much more longer.

Opinion - I hated every single second watching this trash. I absolutely loved the original show , watching this trash ruined the entire series for me. Oh boy! It's awful awful awful awful. If you enjoyed the original show please skip this 4 episode ova series. Too many deeply problematic sequences , se#ual harras#ent , stal*ing , ev* teas*ng all being passed off as comedy and plot device was painfully to sit through. Please skip this sh*t and save your time.

Animation - It was decent according to mid 2000s standards. Thank god there is no usage of ugly CGI.

Story - Just randomn shit happening ... for 30mins. Nothing significant. Deeply problematic.

I strongly believe that no sensible human being will enjoy this show.
