Pop Team Epic is a show that carries itself as if it's a series of shitposts. They are high-effort shitposts on the part of the animators; the styles change every several seconds and the scenes always look good for what they are, even when they're grotesque.

Unfortunately, there is barely any thought put into the structure of the show. It's all completely arbitrary. They can hardly be bothered to form a few complete thoughts per episode. It's also filled with lazy pop culture references. "Look, Skyrim", What about it? "Literally nothing". "Look Chrono Trigger"... and each episode repeats twice. All that and I can only ... recall moments that came close to being funny, like the E.T joke in episode 4. I was rooting for them.

The music? It's okay. There's talent in this show, but I expect they'll eventually work on something better.
