Danmachi keeps pulling forward as the train it is. I didn't enjoy the first half of the season as much, but the second half was very great and let me expand on this.
First part is obviously a build up, and I'm mostly neutral about it as I dislike the "a spell is used to trick everyone" storylines in general, even if it makes sense. But the second half of the season makes up for it completely as it explains the lore, the character motivations and goes into the culminating ending of the season.
Clearly it's a Freya season and I knew that Freya will be a
...
complicated character, and she was. Everything about her story is awesome, I like it a lot and it's surprisingly well thought out.
Most characters in the season had things to do, most of them had growth and their own build up, which is always welcomed. As always things with Ryu are my favorite and her relationship with Bell is something i enjoy a lot even if it's unclear where it goes. I hope that after this season (where I already hoped we will get a closure for Ryu backstory) Ryu finally gets to "move on" and stays as part of main cast. It needs to happen, she is so good, both as a powerhouse and a character and it wouldn't make much sense to spend so much time building her up to keep her on the sidelines.
The main downside as is typically mentioned was the fact that there was no dungeon at all this season, but I think that some major plot lines were resolved, that had to be resolved and hopefully next season things will be wrapped up.
All in all, Danmachi doesn't fail to deliver and grow and I enjoy the fact that we actually have some shows that are capable of this.

The 2nd season of Sennen Kessen-hen is a step forward, but only slightly so because the 1st season was an unhinged mess. One could say Bleach was about superpowered characters becoming so overpowered, that they needed to put constraints on themselves, and you would be right. But besides that, Bleach was actually capable of creating dramatic moments between characters and building them up for fights. And outcomes where usually villains were favorable and, most importantly, memorable.
Is there anything like that in this arc? No, not really. It's very rushed by throwing in a pitload of characters with no background and really no connections between them. There
...
are no developed training arcs, save for... 3 characters hardly. But the main problem is that everything is just extremely formulaic the way it's done.
We have character A and B encounter in battle; one will overpower the other, the other will gain an ally or unlock another power, and the scales will shift. Some characters will die, or die but not really, only to "ha-ha, I'm not actually dead; my 2nd form" BS.
Everything regarding powers in this arc is built around an extremely childish bullshit of "and if I hit you, your head will explode," "and I can make holes in everything I look at," "and I can reduce the amount of liquid if I want to," "and I will cut through anything," and so on. Those powers are made in this stupid way as an attempt to combat that overall issue in the series where things escalated and leveled up so much that (same as my previous review on Season 1) basic shinigami became cannon fodder incapable of anything and the literal depiction of Star Trek redshirts.
Bleach goes through characters like in a card game, killing high-tiered characters from both sides one after the other in what is unsatisfying. Considering how one of the long-standing captains was killed off and "reborn," even not as a fan of his, I find it simply disrespectful for such an old staple character in the series.
Same again; there is not much plot happening; it's extremely simplistic until they throw random exposition at you that really tells you nothing and doesn't build up the fights or the war itself.
Bleach feels very shallow and, devoid of the humane aspect it once had, it has a video game feel to it now. I never thought Bleach to be super amazing, but I had fun with it in the past and regard it relatively high in the genre. On to the next season, who knows if they will finally turn things around.

As I've seen some trailers and random cuts online, I felt like it could be a weird but still fun romcom, with slap stick comedy that I usually like and some fetish topics. By the end of Ep4 it didn't peak my interest, and if anything, it kept degrading episode by episode.
Story plays around Yakuza families and some of their kin who are randomly (at face value) "forced" into an arranged marriage, which is a rather typical tradition in Asian countries. It results in MC girl travelling to Tokyo and getting involved with a Mary Sue over9000 masochistic dude, where she is trying to mess
...
with him as a form of payback. Will they end up in love, or not? Who knows, and frankly, who cares.
The premise gets old fast. Something something happens, MC girl is involved to some capacity, there are some fight scenes, then a forced deadpan romcom transitioning in some weird fetish. It ends up being simply creepy or gross. Not much else. It's not engaging, neither it is fun or comedic. This is me scratching my head as a result.
As a comparison, in Mushoku Tensei MC is a creep, and it has quite a lot of creepy things, but they are either character building/world building or comedic to an extend. There are obvious fan service as well. Here, they serve neither to develop characters as nothing changes, nor for comedy and not for moving the story. And definitely not sexual.
Show likes it's violence, and it's cruel rather straight forward and could actually work well for a Yakuza plot. But that Yakuza plot is barely present in the background and not much is done to introduce different characters to make you interested.
FABLE had a nice Yakuza plot and characters, it was fun and enjoyable. It had creepy scenes, gross episodes and most secondary characters existed not to deliver dialogue but for other purposes.
Sure, maybe, who knows, this show can unlock itself later in the season, but I won't stick around for that long. It's static sluggish delivery doesn't peak my interest and neither did the characters, where chemistry between them is absent. It's a 5 from me, I'm bored, let me out.

I tried watching it while having meals, but even then, it's very boring. The premise is fine, it could work out very well and deliver a good story of any kind, really. However, most of 10 episodes I had watched, screen time is wasted on Slice of Life bs, braindead talks and weird kinda-but-not-really romances, that don't go anywhere.
As it goes into delivering a bunch of bad guys, not only the general models of enemies generic and boring (ants), but they couldn't even deliver any interesting fights as well. There are TOO many cliche one liners like "I will kill you", "I will beat you
...
with one hand", "My brother will come and beat your brother", "I will hold this with two hands to defeat you" and all that nonsense that is fine if it's limited and timed correctly.
Overall it feels very very amateurish, both story writing and production, therefore it's not even passable to tolerate in the background. Think about it. In the 10th episode we're supposed to have MC fight some bad guy, and finally unleash some dragon power, as the title suggests. And you know what? I don't care at all.
Also, what the fuck is this weird milk fetish? To drink milk from a brest-feeding cow-girl monster, who is also a wife. If that wasn't enough we get her daughter to share her milk for some reason. Can you imagine that in Monster Musume things were less weird.
One of the meh of the season.

Maou 2099 felt like it could be decent through the first couple of episodes, but then it eventually drops down to Cringe Lord 2099 and stays there. There are two main problems that prevent this show to actually keep one entertained and interested.
It takes itself way too seriously and there is nothing engaging happening. While they try into humor once in a while it's not good and the delivery is generally lame.
Actually mixing some Ghost in the shell style world with fantasy and crap, can work, but this is not it. This is the "let's throw shit at the wall and see what sticks".
First half
...
of the season was passable, but as the new Arc begins, it was very forced and for no good reason. As if the author had no clue what did he want from it, like ticking checkboxes while creating an anime story line.
Sadly, with everything given, it could be salvaged and made into a good show, but as it is now, I can't find willpower to force myself to finish it.

It is yet another overhyped mess. It starts with a premise of "relationships that go wrong and fail," while the whole reality is "people get turned down before they get into a relationship." One is not equal to the other.
MC is nonexistent, and frankly, if he didn't exist, it would just be a "drama" story about young teenage love triangles and crap. Instead he is a narrator of the story, used for puns and to be used by the rest of the cast to feel better about themselves by cracking jokes at his expense. MC is the group pet, who is a bigger loser than
...
the rest of the cast, as others, by virtue of "trying," feel superior to him in every regard, and he is used for convenience to solve their little problems. And not only that, but he is not growing as a character, not challenging his present self, and not doing anything throughout 8/12 episodes.
Literally all of the cast is annoying. They are self-absorbed and self-centered, and all they do is trauma dump their crap on others, which ironically cements the point why someone like them fails in getting into any relationships. It would be one thing to do that with people you actually know, but in reality, MC is not related to any of them at all. They just don't care and continue to do so. "MC kun, please wait until I go sort crap with my love interest," "MC kun, do me a favor to make me look better," "MC kun, fix my problem that I created." This for me is an actual definition of hentai. It's perversion, and funny enough, this perversion is somehow viewed in a positive light.
Oh. An UNO REVERSE harem! Wow! It really is not. What are you on about? But, hey, I got it. Hot garbage like "rent a girlfriend" is popular, so I shouldn't be surprised that this slop gets recognition.
There is no romance here, no love, no chemistry.
Visually is kind of nice, I guess. A solid 5, it's utter boredom. Not even enough to make me feel irritated about the whole thing.

"I Parry" is a power fantasy story, and it doesn't hide that fact or shy away from it. Concept isn't anything unique; it's a "I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times" type of story, so general enjoyment relies on how you view that concept.
MC is a dreamer who tried becoming an adventurer as a child but was told and shown that he was a failure and had no special talent or ability to do anything related. Instead of giving up, he decides to train little that he learned on his own in what could be described as isolation. When he manages
...
to become the lowest of low handymen, he still readily takes on that task and feels somewhat fulfilled even if his dreams are only left to be dreams.
As he is thrown into crazy situations lacking any knowledge of the world or politics in general, he still, in his mindset, is a failure, which plays partly the comedic role of the show. Critics would call him dumb and dense, but it logically makes sense; the guy literally came out of the woods with a shattered self-worth.
Occasionally it's nice to watch stories about simple, good-natured heroes in a straight-forward setting, without harems, ecchi, or revenge/whatever plots.
As the story evolves, situations become more and more nonsensical, which makes it funnier up to the end, where it might hint for another season.
Out of nowhere, I enjoyed it much more than expected; this is the absurd show done right.

I would call Seiyuu Radio no Uraomote an inspiring show. Without going to extensive depths of hell it still well enough portraits the troubles and difficulties of the profession as the plot revolves around two young VAs who, while having some success each in their own sense, feel stuck at where they are professionally. Be it landing gigs, having confidence, overcoming own limitations or dealing with delulu fans it goes through all of that in only 12 episodes, which is impressive.
As cruel as the rest of anime/media industry it asks someone thinking about this profession - "why would you need this, it's not a job
...
with high level of security and wasting time while you could actually get a solid job might be a stupid decision you will regret eventually". And it's fair, considering how horrible the conditions are for someone like animators in Japan who barely survive in harsh conditions and are simply in love with their work to stop.
It's not an exaggeration to say that VAs among other things are a vital component of any show as it's true they bring life to the characters you are watching. As I recognize VAs I like the most in their roles surprisingly I noticed some correlation between the shows I enjoyed more and the VAs who played part in them, because let's be real you can tolerate production quality but not generic boring voice acting, at least in my case.
Can't exactly relate to specifics of radio talk hosts or VAs as I never tried to be one, but as a singer who spent around 15 years on that craft some of the same topics do resonate. Delivering to the audience with only your voice and encountering people are both more charismatic naturally or more skilled and experienced is discouraging to deal with the longer you do this. While a rookie you don't pay that much attention but eventually you see younger people more skilled and talented and you have to deal with these doubts and walls to continue your own growth. Was lucky not to have to make that my profession so it was easier, but were I a professional, that would hurt even more.
In this regard it's a nice cautionary tale albeit be it with a good ending. Last episode I think was very well done, by using the Storyboard shots to run their voices in full silence really made it a peak episode and it was worth it. They did a great job there.
It also has plenty of yuri bait which is getting called out by the MC regularly but in some cases it mostly shows that they are just young and inexperienced so their lack of confidence create in their heads as characters the situations where they make it more than it really is, which is funny.
It's a solid 7 show, but I give it an 8 as it resonated with me enough to now have fond memories of the time spent watching it.

Man, I NEED to start checking on who is responsible for producing some anime.
After Kill la Kill, after Darling in the franxx I have to know that everything they make is utter chaotic shit.
I knew that the animation and art style reminded me of those and duh, because it's the same guys. I knew that this incoherent bs of a story is something I've seen before, it's because it's the same people responsible. I knew that the cardboard excuse for characters is something I've experienced before, because you guessed it.. Same people. When Kill la Kill had released there was a lot of discussion how
...
it's a neat clever funny Shonen mockery and yadda yadda. No, it wasn't, it's just the kind of people who create such stupid idiotic shows that people assume it's irony, but no it really is not.
What I find amusing is that 3 shows, made with a total of 10 years between them are all the same level of pretentious bullshit with the now trademark level of underlying sexual creepiness of "let's connect" of Lagann, the "expose yourself" La Kill and "ride the chick" of Franxx. The fact that from this show made in 2007 to Darling in 2018 it's like time has stopped for them. There is no growth in their work, it never got better or worse, it was always shit like this. And now when I've seen this trilogy I can clearly understand that it's not the one time thing, the author who made these concepts is really a creep.
It's the cringeworthy worst kind of "がんばってね" (Ganbatte ne)! crap that the heroes keep spouting all the time, in the most unsatisfying manner, and I do wish I haven't wasted 20 episodes watching this trash. After half the season there was a time skip and a change of story, and I hoped for the best, but it's easily murdered by ridiculous lack of human interaction, basic dialogues that characters are incapable of and the nonexistent motivation in most characters. The plot just moves wherever they decide to go, because writing an actual story is too difficult for these guys as always.
In a sense I'll give this one a ONE, because now I realize this is where it started and this is where it will end for me. Three times the charm and I'm certain I'll never make a mistake and watch anything made by them ever again. Trash.

Mushoku Tensei works because characters will struggle, suffer losses in different ways and will overcome their low points in lives, which is the main idea behind the story and what makes it so great to follow.
What defines Mushoku Tensei is the fact that MC is not the godlike OP hero capable of fixing every problem he comes across and blowing up mountains in spare time. It solidifies the idea that a person contains both weaknesses and strengths, and while growing and making mistakes will have regrets some of which will stay with that person forever. And it shows that pretty well.
Beyond that, Part2 is extremely
...
important as a pivotal moment in the plot for many reasons and damn it's a rollercoaster of events. There is no question why Mushoku Tensei along several other series is peak [harem] isekai, however you look at the genre.
