Well that is one way to look at it, though I'm 100% certain Yasu is pretty much dead.

But the beauty of Umineko is exactly that there is no one truth to it!

As for Kurugaya, yeah the true end finds place post Refrain, mainly because you saved them all. But the role of each girl besides Rin is giving Riki & Rin the confidence and strength they needed to become strong, while also solving their own issues, so I can't quite think of Kurugaya being the main heroine. Additionally, there is also the fact that Rin is the heroine of the True Route, meaning she is essentially the real heroine of LB!, just like how Kagari is the main heroine of Rewrite because the True Route (Terra) has her in the main female role.

I heard about it, but never saw it :s I'm guessing it's better to read the VN instead of the anime then?

Yeah ep 8 changed some stuff and also added a completely new part called "confesion of the golden witch" which essentially summarizes Yasu's story in 3 chapters, not to mention the ending is made more clear aswell!
Ikuko being Yasu? I have my doubts in that aspect, but go on.

Ayyy, nice to see a fellow Umineko fan :o So you only read up till ep 7? If that is the case, I recommend reading the manga version of ep 8 instead :s It's much better than the VN version :P
As for Rewrite & LB!, those are truly amazing VNs that deserves more attention than they get << Well I'm more or less certain about Moon Kagari being the heroine, but Kurugaya? I would definitely be interested in hearing your theories for that.

I read it in korean, as it was officially translated and released here in Korea.
I'm not sure if there is an official release or even a fan-translated project of KK... sorry couldn't be much of help :P
