JJK is still JJK but I feel like something is slightly off this season.
Animation and sound track are peak as always and we already got a few interesting character moments in these first few episodes but I don't know if it's the directing or the pace but I feel like the scenes don't flow into one another as well as they did previous seasons.
I really like the more experimental directing of the first 2 episodes, even if they still had, in my opinion, some weird transitions, but the cinematography and artsy approach worked well to set the scene in the aftermath of S2. On

What a lovely little gem of a show!
I'm really surprised it has such a low rating on here, it really deserves more in my opinion. I came in here just because I had an itch for a romance but I didn't expect to find such a beautiful show. This show is romance in the most literary sense, not only because of the mature and compelling characters but also in it's portrayal of art as a form of love, shown not only in the story but also in the direction and music. OK, I'm anime only here so this will probably be different for novel readers, but I found this series to be incredibly interesting and worth watching and yet it was incredibly confusing at times.
This isn't my first donghua so I know than they tend to move quicker that japanese anime and they expect you to pay attention to details and come up with your own explanation at times and generally I don't mind that type of story telling, I like it a lot when they don't spoon feed you every answer in like 5 seconds but this was a bit too quick pacing wise.
