Grew up being a die-hard Pokémon fan and finally got into other anime in March of 2024. I can watch all genres of anime and also love to talk about it. Also, I have never dropped an anime, no matter how bad.

Rating System:
10/10 - One of the best anime of all time. Should be rewarded very rarely, should excel in a variety of categories, and leave a mark on my being. (Ex: Attack on Titan, Frieren, Takopi's Original Sin)
9/10-A great show that stands out, most likely only being held back by minor problems or preferences, such as being too short and animation. (Ex: Apothecary Diaries, Violet Evergarden, Heavenly Delusion, Rezero)
8/10- For me, I want every anime I watch to have this rating. Most of the shows by a large marginares an 8/10, as I tend not to watch anime if they already have a rating below a 7.75. These shows are usually still overall very good, if not great, in the overall picture of anime, but issues tend to be more noticeable, and they tend not to excel in a multitude of categories. (Ex. Serial Experiments Lain, Cowboy Bebop, To Be Hero X, Dandadan, Grand Blue, Hell's Paradise, Charlotte.)
7/10- These shows are still decent and tend to still be loved by a multitude of people, but now problems and issues are glaring, and these shows tend to be hard to give my full attention to. If I give a very popular and well-received show a 7/10, it most likely means I think it's overrated. These shows, for me, are slight disappointments yet are still watchable and have value. However, this would be a good rating for an OVA or Special. (Ex. Akame Ga Kill, Bochii The Rock, Anohana, Angel Beats)
6/10 - These shows are simply not very good yet are still doable with some decent moments. They tend to be very basic and bland while not offering any sustenance. Average rating for an OVA/Special, though. (Ex. More than a Married Couple, City the Animation, Honey Lemon Soda)
5/10 - Now we are getting into the range of just straight-up bad. These shows offer little to no redeeming qualities outside of a few splash moments and are a complete waste of time. (Ex. Ninja Kamui, The Detective Is Already Dead)
4/10- These shows are very bad, so bad that they hurt just to sit through and finish, and are more than just boring. They do almost nothing at an above-average level and tend to be the exact opposite of my tastes. (Ex. TBATE, Eminence in Shadow)
3/10 - Some of the worst in all of anime, the lowest rating I've ever given (only 1 anime). I would have to passionately hate a show, and it would have to be laughably bad. (Ex. Uzumaki)
2/10- Never have given this rating. It would have to be so bad that it would make me break my rule of dropping an anime.
1/10 - I don't ever plan to give out a 1/10 rating. It would be an insult to the people who made it to give something a 1/10. Hypothetically would have to be something so incredibly immoral that I would have no other choice.
(Note: Favorite characters/shows do not display the anime that I have the highest rating for or the characters that I think are the best written; they are simply shows/characters that I'm passionate about and have a lot of emotion for.)
There is a strong correlation, but what I'm passionate about does not necessarily mean that they are rated the highest.

I'm torn between a few other movies (FSN Heaven's Feel, Kizumonogatari, or Kara no Kyoukai, but these have sequels, they're not one-off).
Look Back is made by the same creator of Chainsaw Man, and although I'm not a big fan of Chainsaw Man, the guy has made other very good works, a one-shot manga called Goodbye Eri is his best so far in my opinion, I hope it gets a movie adaptation too.
Personally I'm completely ignoring this season, I'll have some free time this week so I'm making a list of seven movies to watch each day, right now I only picked The Wind Rises, Millenium Actress, Look back, and Promare, still 3 to go, any suggestions?
I also started watching Uma Musume yesterday, I'll be focusing on this one for now, I want to get through it because I heard the later seasons are pretty good.
Thanks for the FR!
