Characters (9/10)

The characters in this movie were amazing, the acting was just astounding, truly an amazing script from the writers. Character development started out slow as most shows do but, it eventually grows into something phenomenal. You learn about each of the characters in different ways, Dreams, Stories, and just dialog. There were some questions that i had that were un-answered which left me disappointed from that point of view.

Art (10/10)

I must say, they did not skip out on the art. The art was one of the biggest points about this movie that i just loved. The scenes ... were crisp, characters well drawn and not out of proportion. The landscape itself is something to awe at. Even in fight scenes where it was fast and action packed there was no loss of quality in the animation.

Story (9/10)

The story that is presented to you makes you want to watch more and more of the movie without stopping. There were very few dull scenes that give you breaks to pardon yourself to go to the restroom (Yes i held my blatter throughout the movie!). Again, the story is just wonderful.

Enjoyment (10/10)

Did i enjoy watching this movie? Hell yeah i did! This is now my #1 favorite anime movie of all time. I suggest anyone that would like to check out an anime movie this would be the one to do it.

This is truly a wonderful anime that Bones, And Banzai Entertainment went all out on. If you are looking for great art, this is the movie for you. If you are looking for samurai this is the anime for you. If you are looking for fight scenes this is the anime for you. If you are looking for an interesting story, THIS IS THE ANIME FOR YOU. I suggest everyone watch this.

Characters: (7/10)

The characters personality of this series are easy to find in other anime's that you may have watched. Most include comedy, these characters are hilarious and funny to watch as they all grow closer to each other!

Art (8/10)

The art is one of the biggest things that i loved about this anime. It was clean, that is one of the biggest things in anime that makes me want to watch more of it. Not to mention this anime is about art, the artwork the was "drawn" had an amazing presence.

Story (9/10)

I loved the story, i ... couldn't stop watching it. It dragged me in within the first moments of watching it. The powerful heart wrenching scenes which just made me blubber like a baby to comedic and hilarious scenes which got me laughing so hard i could cry.

Enjoyment (9/10)

I enjoyed this anime all the way through to the end. I don't think i stopped watching, there was always something that made me want to keep on watching till the very end. But then again i love anime's that have a heart warming feel to them.

Overall: (8/10)

This whole anime came together and made it wonderful to watch. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys watching a good heart warming story and doesn't mind laughing a little bit. Has to be one of my favorite anime's lately and definitely re-watch quality.

I was looking for a something similar to "Break Blade" which i will be doing a review on soon. This is the first season of "Asura Cryin" and will also do a review on the second season. So enjoy this review!

Characters

The characters in this anime are quite interesting. The more the story goes on the more you wonder about them. The more you wonder about them, the less answers you get. What i am trying to get at is, there is no background information on the characters. The development between the characters were done quite well, but we don't really know ... who they are.

Art

For an anime that came out in 2009 they had a excellent graphics team put together and did a nice job. The fighting scenes may be short but are quite amazing to watch. Lots of action packed scenes with explosions, missiles, and mecha.

Story

Asura Cryin has a great story, but lacks quite a lot of detail. A somewhat normal teenage life is about to change within minutes. Asura Cryin lacked in the past stories, but makes up for it with the "present" story that is being told.

Enjoyment

From watching this anime kept me entertained for throughout the whole anime. There were many parts that i myself was confused at what was going on. That being said the confusion usually ended after about 5 minutes of watching the anime. There are an amazing amount of questions that are just left un-answered. The anime is quite watchable even without these questions answered, don't let the confusion stop you.

Overall

I would say that this anime had quite a good story but lacked in the character background department. Because it lacked in the characters background it left quite a lot of questions un-answered. But at the end of the anime they announced that a second season will be released, and hopefully they are leaving that information till the second season.

My Opinion

Well, my opinion stays straight to the point that the characters were not explained well enough. I mean there are a lot of characters where stuff is not explained where it should be. But, that does not ruin the story, the story is just amazing! I would recommend this to anyone who likes a Mecha, Action, Romance, Harem genres.

Here is my first review that i am going to do, i have read a lot of other reviews and everyone seems to write so much! Ill try to keep this simple short and straight to the point!

This series has got to be one of the most funniest that i have watched so far, i have not laughed as hard while watching this then other anime's i have seen. The mix between Action, Comedy, and School life have me at a hope that they will be making a second season!

If you're someone that is looking for action as well as comedy then this series will ... be a treat for you! If not, you should still give it a chance. You'll be hooked within minutes of the first episode!
