Well, this didn’t go well. Even after a disappointing first season, the show continued to decline.

Pros:
- Most of the time, top animation
- It has cool moments, although it is the only thing carrying the show. MC has some cool entrances.

Cons:
- Side characters are virtually non-existent. There is NO background storytelling. Some characters seem to be set to be developed only to be killed or dropped from view in the next episode.
- The show fails even in complete genre basics. You get a huge trumpeted entry of Geto, supposedly almost demigod hunter. Instead of big showdown with Black Ant he gets killed literally offscreen. And ... this is problem of the whole season. You are told someone is strong, but not shown.
- MC gets ridiculously overpowered, which unfortunately completely kills the stakes. In big finale you are supposed to even pretend to be thrilled. Not having an impassioned look at wannabe cool fight.
- Which brings me to progressively worsening choreography and animation. In the finale, duels of "strong" characters are done only in speed flashing strikes that look stupid and show that the writer had no idea what the powers should be. For otherwise anime with very good animation is this a big letdown.
- Did I mention that there is ZERO emotion in the show because lack of characterisation?
- The "gaming" part of the plot is almost forgotten. Instead of explaining new powers, which helped the first season a lot - MC gets so strong that he just sees Level up!, gets some irrelevant loot and continues. Viewers who like gamification of the system must be disappointed, as this part is put into the background.

All in all, this is exactly the type of anime you finish and you are not sure why. Probably because you are bored, have free time and hope for some big, meaningful fight in the foreshadowed finale. It does not happen, and every stake fizzles out like the treacherous plan of devilish Japanese (yeah, the source material is ripe with Korean patriotic zeal).

Oh, now I understand why it has so low score. This anime is slow. Slow as life after daigaku, or dropping from high school, trying to make something worthy in society that is so stratified that breaking the chain of middle school - high school - (daigaku) leads to suboptimal jobs and weird looks from society.
Also, it is difficult to understand when you were not in that situation (same as Kuzu no Honkai has very wide range of ratings).It definitely isnt anime high schoolers or even many college attendees wil value much. It is in its heart as life you are trying to stitch ... together between working shifts in one or two works and pretend you do sort of well. Slow, full of problems and realization that now you are on your own.
