There are good series, there are great series, and then there is this which for the first 10-12 volumes felt like it was destined for greatness and then decided to slowly but surely go on a generational run of degradation which culminates in an ending so bad I physically felt sick and decided to give away all the hard copies of the novel volumes I had because just looking at them made my day worse. I literally cried reading the last 2 volumes, not because I was sad or because it was great but because of the sheer frustration I felt having to read the ... ending with my own two eyeballs. If you are deciding whether to read this or not, just read the first few volumes and then forget the rest exist to preserve your sanity. If wasted potential had a physical representation then it would be this.

Short, simple, sweet, and cute - these words basically encapsulate what this series is about: charming little stories about people in relationships. The episodes are very short, and you can finish the whole thing in about 20 minutes, but it’s like a small dose of sugar that leaves you smiling for a while. It touches on wholesome moments of love, and while the artwork is simple, it has a warmth that fits perfectly with the tone. The pacing never drags, making it easy to enjoy without feeling like a commitment.

All in all, definitely give this a watch as it won't take long and you will ... definitely not regret it.

I am not sure what I expected when I decided to watch this because of the opening song but this anime feels like it was written by filling in a checklist of isekai tropes without ever asking why any of them need to be there. It has an Overpowered MC, Random harem setup, Demon war in the background and A “twist” that barely qualifies as one.

It’s not offensively terrible and if you’ve never seen an isekai before, maybe this could pass as watchable but if you have seen even two or three in the genre, this one will feel like reheated leftovers. Forgettable at ... best, frustrating at worst.

PS- Has some pretty memeable expressions that can be used though

Honestly, this movie was a complete letdown. It tries really hard to be deep and emotional, but the execution just doesn’t work. The whole time-travel concept felt messy and inconsistent. Thus, instead of being clever, it just got more confusing with each reset. By the end, I didn’t feel moved or satisfied, just frustrated.

The characters didn’t help either. Nazuna could’ve been interesting, but the story never gave her proper depth, and Norimichi felt more like a plot device than a real person. Their relationship had no real weight, so all the “dramatic” moments came off hollow. The supporting cast was even worse.

Visually, sure, it looked ... nice in parts, but the weird switches between 2D and 3D completely broke immersion. Some scenes were gorgeous, then suddenly you get clunky CGI that felt straight out of a low-budget game.

The soundtrack was probably the only saving grace, but good music can’t carry a bad movie. At the end of the day, this film felt like wasted potential, nothing more. The soundtrack was really amazing though.

Fumikiri Jikan is one of those mangas that’s kind of hard to describe. It’s all set around railroad crossings, which sounds super boring at first, but actually ends up being a surprisingly relaxing backdrop for little stories about random people waiting for trains.

That said, the manga is sometimes it’s sweet or melancholic, sometimes it’s funny, sometimes it just gets weird or even creepy. A lot of chapters start off wholesome but then ruin the mood with a gross punchline or awkward fanservice. It also repeats itself a lot, so after a while you can kind of predict how things will go. That being said, I ... feel that there are more good moments than bad ones and honestly that's all I need.

The art is nice though—especially the detailed backgrounds of real Tokyo crossings. Later volumes get a bit inconsistent, but overall it’s pleasant to look at.

Overall, Fumikiri Jikan is all over the place. Some chapters will make you smile, some might make you roll your eyes, and others just feel uncomfortable. Still, despite the flaws, I found it kind of a relaxing read. Not amazing, not terrible, just its own weird little thing.

One of my favourite manga of all time, this series in terms of story could be said to be a standard romcom but what makes it great imo is the execution of it. Now part of it might be bias as I first read it shortly after watching the anime back in 2014 (It took me a while to write a review lol) but even after reading this as an adult I still found it to be a very fun read. The only drawback for me is the art which is kinda hard on the eyes in the beginning but that improves as well as ... the story goes on. The cast of characters is very unique and well done though which further adds to why I love this manga.

Overall, please do give this a read.

I found this after the sudden announcement of the fact that the main maga ends next chapter so I was pretty happy that atleast there is some additional content to read even if it is a side story. That being said, if you are planning to read this do keep in mind the following-
1. The artist is different so the art isn't as good as the original
2. The chapters are episodic
3. If you have read the epilogue, there is nothing in here that gives more information about their adult lives

Overall, its a decent read if just want some more content outta this series.

I honestly don’t know how to feel about this show. On one hand, Rent-A-Girlfriend is dumb fun. The art is nice, the girls are all entertaining in their own ways, and there’s definitely an addictive quality to the drama. On the other hand, the main character, Kazuya, is… rough. Like, really rough. He’s insecure, desperate, and makes one bad decision after another. The premise itself is actually kind of interesting—renting a girlfriend after a breakup—and I think it could have gone in a lot of directions. Instead, the story leans heavily on misunderstandings and awkward situations. It’s the kind of romcom where you can see ... the trainwreck coming a mile away, but you still watch anyway because you want to see how bad it gets. The girlfriends are what keep this show afloat more or less as they have amazing character designs (imo). Production-wise, the animation is solid and the facial expressions sell a lot of the comedy and awkwardness. The music is at fine, nothing amazing though.

At the end of the day, this anime is… trashy. But it’s also the kind of trash you might secretly enjoy. If you can handle a ton of secondhand embarrassment and a protagonist who makes you want to scream into a pillow, you might actually have fun with it. If not, you’ll probably hate every second.
