if you saw Soul Eater and want something exactly like it, then this is not for you BUT if you are looking for a slice of life the you should go watch kobayashi-san instead.
Soul Eater NOT! its a spin-off from the original Soul Eater anime, it takes place some time (perhaps months) before the soul eater events. In the beginnign i thought it would be a good way to expand the world but i was wrong.
I went knowing this was not going to be like soul eater, the tags and poster make it really clear and i was hopiong to see a slice of life
...
but in a world i already know how it works, but the problem with this anime is, well, everything.
The story about the 3 girls is interesting for 2 episodes, they try to have main villian so they can end up things but the villian is just a lame "copy" of the original soul eater, they always say its dangerous and very powerful but -spoilers: they end with her in 1 minute- the girls are just boring sterotypes and the secondary characters are lame.
there is a very big difference with the art style of the two series, i dont complain about that, it looks more like the style from Fire Force (the same authors) but im talking about the manga, the animation and style from the anime is from basic to lame. Bones is a very known and talented studio, from MHA to FMA they have a long career of good anime with excelent fight scenes, but here the little fight scenes are just boring to watch and knowing that in that season they only did that anime, makes me think they didnt care at all.
1, just one song in the final episode was good, not even the opening or the ending they are both forgettable.
the 3 girls are boring as i said before, they just dont work togother, and for some reason they forced them. No development but they make like they did some.
There are some good things like watching how Kid and the sister thompsons met, watching maka and soul ,how teacher Sid died, but thats all.
In the end, its boring, nothing especial other than the easter eggs from the original anime, bad animation and not good as a solo anime and no good as a spin-off anime

A story abour gods is something that catches everyones attention, and Noragamiis no exception.
I started watching this anime expecting an exciting anime and a gem i never give the chance, but i got a good anime, not was i was expecting. Dont get m wrong, its good but not as good as i thought it would be.
The story has different "arcs" as the anime goes on, and it doesnt has a central story other then Yato wanting a big house. The Hiyori problem feels just as an excuse so she can be with them all the time.
The opening is very good and one of my
...
favorites. But if we go to the soundtrack there is a problem. Almost always (if not always) in the fight scenes they use the same soundtrack over and over. Normally its okay to do that, AoT did it, Re:zero did it, but here the music they use its frustraiting, using weird noises so it combines with the monsters, it works the first time but after a while it just gets frustating.
Yatogami is a good character, its funny and serious when he needs to be so it shows he is still a god, not a kid, and the mistery box of his dark past and Nora makes you wanna know more. Hiyori looks like an important character at the beginning and a love interest for another character but after she doesnt do that much istead of being there and support them sometimes. Yukine is very frustating when he first appears but he does evolves in certain ways.
The animation is good most of the time, even though some fights lack of impact. The monster desing are good and do feel they are evil, specially with the voice they have.
It is a good anime that has some good moments, a frustating soundtrack that always appears in the fight scenes and enjoyale charcters, specially Yato that looks which design makes him look like a cute baby in thefunny moments and a badass that could kill your whole ninja family or clan in just a second.Decent animation and an awesome opening.

Eromaga-sensei is like Mob Psycho to One Punch Man. The literal little sister of Oreimo, but instead of being a good anime, its just garbage.
I dont like incest in normal anime (Hentai is something else) so the concept of love story between a guy and his little sister isnt something you think is interesting. The story is the same in every episode so there is no much to say.
The animation is normal, what you would find in a slice of life, its not horribleand it does look cute and decent.
The characters are the most annoying you can find, Sagiri is a tsundere, in
...
dont like tsunderes at all but i just hate the way Sagiri acts. The older brother is just a lolicon dumb that doesnt has a good reason for liking his little sister. Elf is a pretentious little girl who has an excuse for wanting a boyfriend but has no reason for liking the older brother and muramasa is the only non-loli, important female character and i liked her but she was just thrown to the garbage as soon as she appeared.
The opening was ok, the singer is good and they didnt use the voice actors of the girls.
I suffered in every single episode, it was the same thing of Sagiri wanting lewd things, the brother wanting to see Sagiri out of her room and fanservice everywhere. Not unnecessary fan-service like other animes or one that was the main point in the anime like monster musume, just pantie shot of underaged girls that were not funny.
summarizing, i hate eromanga-sensei. You can like it but i hate it.

All the reviews have already said it but it is a hidden Gem, the underrated show and one of the must watch show iin this season.
I dont blame people for missing it when it came out, we have Jujutsu Kaisen, Tonikawa, Danmachi III, Kamisama ni natta ni and other shows. Episodes come out on thursady, the same day Higurashi´s episodes air. But still it doesnt mean its not good.
The story, in the beginning, is the typical heist show with the steryotipical character recluted by someone, they even call them by what they are, doctor, hacker, brawler, etc, and are also exprimented criminals, who
...
hasnt seen this on a movie before. But after some episodes it becomes more, and the missions changes. It may seem another heist show but it doesnt feel like Oceans 11 or something like that because of the characters.
Like i said the characters are what they are, doctor, brawler etc. and the personalities feel natural and their designs are good. But the thing that they are just that, a personality based on a name, makes it less original and flat.
This is supposed to be a futuristic yet poor city, crimes and light everywhere, like a Vegas 2.0. Almost always it is dark and in the night so the neon light of the city and the cars and all brigths more and you do feel it is a poor city but still in the future.
The opening is good and it gives the vibes of some criminal show.
For being a Studio Pierrot animation, it is pretty good, fluid but the frames are not weird and with the characters doing faces like they have to poop. The illumination with the city neon lights is good. For the eyes, its enjoyable to see.
Overall, its a 8 of 10 because its a story we have seen but with some interesting changes, the character are interesting and not even the airead Brawler who just thinks in fighting is annoying, but their personality is just their name. A show that has interesting story, enjoyable charcters and a animation that got burried by other awaited animes of the season.

good animation, bad adaptation. the story itself is wierd, a private organization does a martial arts tournament only for highschoolers, almost all (if not all) shonen titles have young protagonist with superpowers and are, for some reasons, the most powerful of the world, but at the end it explains why. In The God Of Highschool ir starts with teenagers that are just very strong and its acceptable in some parts but after a while they just have powers and magic out of nowhere, even when they explain why that happens you dont understand the reasons it happens. In a point they start to introduce sub-plotes
...
of the organization and another group of villians but most of the time you dont understand nothing of what is happening and it feels forced. And the last chapters you feel like you were watching another show completely diferent.
If we talk about characters they arent the worst but aare not that remarkable, their motivations are understandable but they dont give enough time to explain them and some feel very forced.
The music is ok, in the fight scenes the music gives a little bit more of emotion but the emotive moments were just moments, nothing exciting. But the opening is very good, it gives you a taste of the type of animation you can see in the fight scenes.
Well, this is the part everyone agrees, the animation. The animation here made me wonder if the Mappa animators even had time for livings because the animation fight scenes are well-done, fluid, exciting and eplosives that were just aweosome and a delight to the eye, and in some episodes there were up to 3 fights with the same quality. Even in the last episodes where i didnt knew what was going on i still enjoyed them.
In the end, i feel that it could have been better but the decisions they made were wrong. This manwha has 498 chapters, they couldnt adapt all that in 12 episodes of 24 minutes. They even had to cut lots of parts and it felt unnatural. Besides, they also leave it on a cliff-hanger so it doesnt has a conclusion.
