I'm a big fan of Hiroya Oku

In college rnow, majoring in math n comp sci (i prefer the math part tbh). I like anime that makes you think, is clever, does not moralize (or minimizes the moralizing), or is simply beautiful and touching. Unfortunately, nowadays there is a lack of really good anime, this is obviously caused by the influx of tourists shitting up the industry, causing a decline in the quality of anime to appeal to the lowest common denominator. Truly, like any good thing in the world, this medium needs to be gatekept (if its even possible at this point), lest it turn into western cartoon but better animation.

Yeah no problem. I also saw your List and you watched in overall the same shows like I did and we have similar taste in this way (even if I would rate some of them lower, but I still like all of them) that's why I didn't understand your Reveiw on VS in the first place.

Vinland Saga first season is just a really big Prologue. What do you mean with holes? Plot holes? If yes, there was almost nothing, since you skipped the entire plot. You said you stopped after Ep 5/6.

Nothing about this show is generic at all, expect the Protagonist being a Revenge Maniac. But he had character development until the End. The character this entire show had its focus at, was Askelad. He was the Main Antagonist and real Protagonist of the first season and a really amazing written character.

I cant believe you rated this amazing Prologue with the same Score like Sword Art Online.

Your Review on Vinland Saga is almost wrong in every aspect. If you have some problems with Mappa, dont try to attack this Show. Vinland Saga isn't even close to be Average. Well, you watched only the first Episodes and didn't pay attention to detail or real animations.
