I have watched the final chapters of AoT and here is my review about it (It's a very divisive ending among fans but I am going to rant and review about the ending from my perspective, please don't get mad at me AoT fanboys. It's my opinion and don't come crying to my profile and threatening me for writing such review like this):
Eren's motivation is unclear. The reason why it's unclear is because he is contradictory to his statements. Eren stated in earlier seasons that he is a free human being but ends up becoming a slave to the future fate. It just stays unclear
...
and don't ask me why. Did you notice that in earlier seasons that he hates Tyranny? He ends up becoming one. Eren Yeager is the most obnoxious, paradoxical and contradictory character I've ever seen. I'm sorry to say but AoT's ending doesn't handle the genocide topics correctly, it DOESN'T and what do you mean by Armin thanking Eren for genocide? Never seen a cheap ass, corny dialogue like this. Besides that, AoT's final chapters felt abrupt and rushed. Thanking someone for comitting warcrimes against humanity is just stupid... Yeah, the last 2 episode's CGI got worse. Believe me or not, the CGI looks like something pulled out from a Blender template.
AoT's ending feels like an NTR romcom to be honest. King Fritz and Ymir's backstory is unclear, no construction behind it.
No way, the ending just tried to replicate some scenes from Evangelion. Those scenes were cheap Evangelion knockoff. And then, Eren becoming a lovesick crying for Mikasa is just making me laugh ngl. Mikasa proceeds to marry Jean later in the future. Hence, it is congruent to NTR hentai plot structure. Hell, don't even come up to tell me, "Eren is a nihilist complex character and stated that cycle of war and hatred will go on"
Brother, he is a contradictory character and constantly keeps changing his motives.
Eren is indeed a complex character but not in the way I intended him to be.I don't mind about the time travel thing but some people say it's BS. Can't blame them honestly.Questions were vaguely answered. What is the "path"? Why did Ymir obey King Fritz? What did Eren see in the Future (Wasn't he a slave of future)? Where are the origin of Titans? What is Hallucigenia? Nothing was answered clearly, just some nay say answers
Overall, I just pointed out why AoT's ending is bad. I didn't yap yadayadayada and just mindlessly said AoT's ending is bad.
10 years it took, just for the final chapters to be a literal wasted potential.
