I remember binging this when it came out. And then Season 2. You have to watch this to understand, such a mature, unique, comedic, and fun anime with some nice plottwists. And the (very realistic) characters are pretty fleshed out, despite this being a rather short anime. Also, the animation is insanely good and paired with the music? Absolute cinema.
So underrated, despite being one of the best, in my opinion. Can recommend this for sure, especially if you´re sick of cliche anime with kids as protagonists lol :D
PS: It´s the funniest thing ever when they speak english in the japanese dub, give it a ... try hahaha

This used to be my favorite Manga (&Anime) and even though it isn´t anymore, it´s still in my top 5 or top 10, it is just that great. Don´t underestimate this, just because you don´t like sports or volleyball, you´ll be proven wrong hahaha.
Not only are the characters insanely written with really good character development and motivations, they are all also given special attention, despite being form rival teams etc..
The art definetely isn´t the best but I think it fits perfectly to the action scenes, since the anatomy and dynamic plays, especially later on.
Have fun on this amazing journey which never stops being fun ... :D

My favorite anime movie. I used to watch this so often and even though I never really cried during other bittersweet animanga/games etc. this movie for some reason always manages to make me do exactly that. The amazing music probably plays a big part in that haha.
Another good thing is, that you can recommend this to literally ANYONE. It has comedy, drama, romance, friendship, slice of life, mystery, action and beautiful animation & music. And it talks about topics that are pretty hard to describe or grab, which makes it so comforting and hurting at the same time, it´s nice..

Soul Eater might have one of the best artstyles oat (it has about 3+ different artstyles, I´m talking about the ones in the middle-close to the end of the manga) and the best character designs too. Amazing amd unique plot too, although I wasn´t the craziest fan of the last chapter, didn´t really love it but didn´t hate it either, it was okay, definetely better than in the anime though. The biggest strength was definetely the characters though, I mean just Black Star (imagine a star symbol here), Death the Kid, Medusa, Soul and Maka alone are masterfully written and there are still so many ... other good ones..
You can read this anytime anywhere it´s great (though there should be a buff to your reading fun while autumn aka halloween season lol), don´t miss out on this.

This is my favorite manga of all time. Before you say anything, I have been reading manga for many many years, including masterpieces such as Berserk, Billy Bat, Innocent, etc.. And despite these pieces being some of my favorites works of fiction too and objectively better written (which I of course agree with), they aren‘t as dear to me as Im Great Priest Imhotep.

I think it‘s definetely because I am a big sucker for Egyptian Mythology and it‘s old rich history. But that might not even be the main point of this manga, although it is a big one.

I just love everything, from the many ... complex facetfull characters with beautiful designs and incredible relationship dynamics as well as an amazing art style, to the big plot, the backstories, fights, plottwists! It’s not a long read either and the pace is really good, so I would really recommend you to read it.

Please give this a try whether you like old Egypt (then definitely!) or not, I bet you’ll grow a liking to it.
PS: It’s also really funny! And besides the first chapter it doesn’t have any fanservice (except certain scenes with one adult woman, which is never overdone and she has an actual sad backstory and good personality), which I really appreciate! So don’t be scared of the first chapter please!
