BY FAR the most underrated Pokemon series of all time, and I completely stand by it. Arguably, it is one of the most underrated anime of all time. Pokémon Sun and Moon objectively has the best-written episodes of all Pokémon. The episodes are directed much better than any other Pokemon series. The voice lines , the direction of scenes , the animation , the humor , the attention to detail , the introduction to stat moves and many more. Alola is also one of the most well-written regions in the franchise. I couldn't believe myself tearing up to some ... of the episodes.

I have heard a lot of criticism about Z-moves, but IMO, other than the slight redundancy (which gets a little better as you progress through the episodes), Z-moves are entertaining to watch. The only downside to this anime is the Ultra Guardians arc. Kinda childish to make 10 year old pokemon students to be "ultra guardians" . I do LOVE the Ultra Beasts though. They are cool, not overpowered, have different personalities, and are unique in their own way. Not to mention the regional legendary Pokémon such as Tapu Koko, Zeraora, the Island Guardians, Solgaleo, Lunala, and of course—Necrozma; Alola has some of the best Pokémon overall.

Despite the flaws I think this anime is a solid 9/10 in comparison to the other Pokemon series , however since this show has outscaled my expectations , I am more than delighted to give this series a 10/10.

I think the internet did Sun and Moon dirty. Sun and Moon deserves its praise. I would genuinely argue that Sun and Moon is better than XYZ.

Im never listening to a tiktok recommendation again. This anime honked. The anime had a strong start. Introduction of the president, his encounter with Chika. That was sick. But after the first 2-3 episodes it all went downhill. The idea of koto was new to me and I was lowkey interested, however there's barely any emphasis on the performances. Theycut one performance halfway, abruptly. How could you do that when the main thing about this anime are the koto performances ! The show focuses more on plot and the cast bonding instead of the art of the koto. It feels like plot is primary and ... koto is secondary. The direction is, sadly, garbage. Background character lines are awful, like a poorly written play. Several scenes are poorly executed. The application of the comedic effect was so lackluster, making it feel like the studio was too lazy to animate it .

One redeeming thing about the anime is Chika. That's it. He carried the show. Cuz he reminds me of Ichigo from Bleach a lot. Especially cuz he likes strawberries lol. But that's it. That's why Im being generous and giving this show a 5. Else it woulda been a 3 or 4.

Probably one of the greatest pieces of fiction; not only because the anime was so good , but even the visual novel was good. AND I DON'T EVEN READ visual novels.

I would argue that even though Stein's gate is number 3 on the list, it is still heavily underrated for what it is, however it's my bias so I believe that Stein's Gate is probably the most perfectly rated anime for over 15 years.

Probably the most overrated anime of all time. This anime is NOT worth even 300 episodes. The plot is so meh. Bang average. You can tell this is typically made for kids who are like 12-13, not even meant for shonen; and we have grown ass men saying that this is the greatest piece of fiction. There's no suspense AT ALL, except for the one thing that happened in the marineford arc. But even that incident got rubbed off when they introduced a duplicate of that character. The idea at first seemed really interesting. Loved the idea of having pirates trying ... to find roger's treasure and the curse of the devil fruit. But the anime strays completely away from it. Introduction to Haki ruins it. Gear 5 is just a retcon . The only reason I would sit and watch a one piece episode is for the comedic effect. That is all. They have crazy fight scene animations but what's the point when there's no suspense at all? On top of that dragon ball gets hate for the dragged fight scenes but there was some martial arts in the combat, but One piece has 20 episodes for a single fight and a million flashbacks to fill the minutes And everyone says the world building IS CRAAZZY and shit. It used to be bang average but it got worse after time skip . I watched one piece at 1.5x speed only cause of two things: doffy and covid. I wish I did something else with that time. If you are willing to sit and watch a 1000 episodes go watch gintama. It's way more hilarious and better written.

TLDR: If you're not watching one piece, you're not missing out on much.
