Undead Girl Murder Farce
|
A detective girl and her immortal male companion (UGMF has an additional woman for a protagonist trio to I/S's duo) Very dialogue heavy novel-style rhythms, both series share the same series composer Takagi Noboru The central duo are non-human and live in the world of the supernatural UMGF has better direction and more action, as the protagonists have a goal that they are actively pursuing, whereas I/S is a more passive cases-come-to-them situation, almost slice-of-life. If UGMF is closer to One Piece, I/S is closer to Natsume Yuujinchou.

Beatless
|
Both series are about exploring how technology can fundamentally change society. Beatless is about the development of AI, while Gatchaman Crowds ponders social media. Both shows feel like reading a harder science fiction novel (especially since Beatless was adapted from one). On the flip side, this means that these shows are for viewers more interested in the ideas than the characters.

Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song

Both shows are about exploring how AI might surpass us, and how humanity should deal with that. Vivy is a little bit more pulpy, which allows for beautifully animated action sequences, but Beatless is more considered in its hard science fiction speculation.
