First, I'm not a fan of student-teacher relationships. Japan loves them. So the monsters that MC formerly taught have now evolved into humanoid monster girl students who have entered his current school where he is the E-rank (worst) teacher. The monster girls not only want to marry him but also wants to promote him. So that's somewhat understandable.
Second, I'm not a fan of the MC. He has very, very, very low self confidence. I mean it's abysmal. I understand that something traumatic happened that turned him into this spineless oaf, but come on! He is constantly saying he's not worth anything. He just takes all

the abuse heaped upon him. And that would be fine if he showed any growth. But, no, he does not. Worst, he is actively looking away from predatory behavior aimed at his students. The octopus girl gets stalked and MC is like, "oh, I'm glad they are getting along." WTF? Can you not see the sexual harassment happening in front of your very own eyes? You are a failure as a teacher and a failure as a person and a failure as a man.
Third, I'm not a fan of any of the main characters. I couldn't tell a personality difference between the octopus girl and the spider girl. The third girl, the "golem" girl (yes I know they say she is an automata) wants MC to be her master. She's supposed to be the expressionless girl, but isn't she so cute, teehee. That's not a personality, it's a trope.
Fourth, I'm not a fan of any side characters. I pretty much hate them all, from all the teachers to all the students.
I was hoping for growth and change but nothing has happened in 3 volumes. I cannot recommend this manga.

MC Eizo's situation is pretty well summarized on this page so I'm going to skip over that.
There’s a sub-genre of isekai and fantasy where adventuring is not the main theme but instead it’s all about professions: making, producing, constructing things. This is one of my favorites from the profession isekai genre. It is based on a LN (originally a web novel at Kakuyomu and Narou) but I really like the art in the manga. An important aspect of this type of isekai is that the “professional” scene has to have authenticity. Tamamaru , the author of the LN has knowledge or at the very

least researched blacksmithing and swordsmithing. I could not find out too much about the author but the knowedge imparted are real. You can probably pick up enough from watching swordsmithing YouTube videos, but they ring true. In a later volume (5?) there is a scene explaining aspects of Japanese swordsmithing. I did some research and all of those are also accurate. It's not enough that the content be true to life, it must also be drawn well in the manga. The manga-ka Yoshino Himori also did a fair amount of research as told in the extra pages of the manga volumes. It’s one of the reasons I really like this manga.
As for the story content, what do you expect? It's a slow life manga. And yes, cute girls abound. The beast girl is Samya. She's certainly expressive and when the manga does her chibi form, it's adorable. My favorite is the dwarf girl Rike, who becomes MC Eizo's apprentice. She's sometime the audience stand in when Eizo is trying and failing to explain to her about smithing. He can do it because of his cheat skills but Rike has to learn by watching. Then there is Diana, the young noble who MC Eizo ends up protecting from her family troubles.
Now MC Eizo was a middle aged man when he died. In his new life, he's about 30, but he still carries that mentality of an older person. So he treats all of them as family instead of love interests. It's similar to how Beryl treats his former students in From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman. Which is so much better than just gaining an instant harem just because isekai.
If you want an isekai where a teenager gains cheat powers to fight the demon lord, then My Quiet Blacksmith Life in Another World is not for you. If, OTOH, you want something more slow paced and crafting is front and center, then give this a try.

The art is great! Expressive characters, detailed backgrounds, interesting paneling, action scenes conveying strength and speed, absolutely top notch.
Characters are memorable, with the Hero and the Priestess being the two most important. The Hero starts off as an expressionless automaton who gradually gains feelings. The Priestess is earnest, hardworking, diligent, and pretty. The supporting characters will change but they too have personality and are easily recognizable.
The setting is very interesting, an apocalyptic fantasy war story with supernatural powers that must be understood in order to defeat the wielder. This is especially true for the 13 leaders of the Church of Darkness. Definitely interesting

and creepy powers abound.
The story is definitely dark fantasy with moments of light brevity. Do expect many scenes of tragedy, cruelty, and gore. There are definitely a few twists and some readers might not like the ending. But definitely some great storytelling in just three volumes.
PS. FYI, 9日間, transcribed as 9-kakan, is actually read as "Kokonokakan". It's the ordinal counting method for days.

Sometimes, less is more. I know Terasawa was involved in this OVA from 2009, based on his manga from 1996, but I feel like this is the story of Lady that we didn't need. She's always been an enigma, even in the manga. I always felt her relationship with Cobra went beyond just romantic love, that they shared a history and a deep bond like no other. In the manga she’s introduced as Cobra’s partner. Everyone assumes she’s a Armaroid robot, But we later learn she was actually flesh and blood before she obtained her new body made of live metal. So mysterious and cool.

attempting to explain her past, this OVA does disservice to her. Cobra dives into their past to save her. Lady, or Princess Emeralda, is a rebel leader but she's easily captured and reduced to the damsel-in-distress trope. A lot of agency seems to be taken away from her as Cobra, both past and present, interacts with her. The reason she falls for Cobra is because future Cobra was so badass she falls for present Cobra? Wut? It seems rather one sided. I was expecting a deeper connection from both sides that would lead to a lifelong partnership. The climax of the story lets Lady do something, but it’s rather contrived. I understand the show is called Cobra, but come on!
Animation is decent. However, there are CG moments that are not great. It was good to see the real (manga version) Turtle spaceship. The use of still shots in an OVA is disappointing. BGM is good, ED ballad is good, but the OP is kickass.
Overall, it’s a mixed bag.
