OreImo is an anime where one of the main characters is obsessed with siscon visual novels and tries to share this forbidden love with her older brother. And he helps her do all sorts of things in this hobby space despite their father, who is not supportive of such things.
Now the anime takes an implicit stand that such a hobby is not a bad thing for a person to be engrossed in. And my answer is no, being obsessed with anime/manga and siscon visual novels in particular is not a noble or good hobby. It's a hobby waste of time and money that is inferior

This is an isekai anime, and is boring and formulaic like almost all isekai animes.
However, the one saving grace of this anime is angel girl Ristarte, who offsets the stoic, emotionless main character by being balls-off-the-walls expressive about every little thing. Her extremely wide range of reactions brings joy to a show that would otherwise be devoid of it. It nicely complements the hero character's deadpannedness. There isn't much to say besides that. Infinite Stratos is one of the most generic animes I have ever watched. School, check. Mecha battles, check. Ecchi harem, check.
Wait, ecchi harem? That actually is the best part about this show. Despite it being episode after episode of boring, generic, forgettable slop the ecchi managed to carry it enough that I watched the whole thing. There's a nonzero chance that if you like ecchi, then this show might actually be a hit for you. But for everyone else, probably not. Generic slop! Stay away! Then I met a person in real life who watched too much anime, to the point where he thought demon aliens were harvesting energy from humans and that was the whole point of earth. Excel Saga is just plain crazy. Either you love it for its goofiness or hate it, probably for it being too loud and annoying. That's easy to tell in just 1 episode though. I mean, this one can be just major stimulating if you're into it. Definitely take a look.
There is a ton of variety in the zany shenanigans the characters get into. For example, how episode 4 is played through visual novels for about half the episode. Punpun is very unique as a manga. There were some unusually weird and sometimes creepy artsy frames mixed in with the narration that I found memorable.
Now one thing about Punpun is that it is really long. Really, really long. I think Crime and Punishment is a much shorter book than this (3000 pages of Punpun vs. 500-700 pages of Crime and Punishment). First off, there is one "good" thing about this anime I will discuss at the end.
I have never dropped an anime so fast in my life. I knew this one was weird and lesbian, but I never expected it to turn me off so fast. SPOILERS. So for whatever reason this specific film adaption of Air stands out to me as being memorable.
A bum performer comes to town and uncommunicably gets tasked by an older sister with taking care of a sick girl who wears shirts that say things like "Gao Gao Stegosaurus!" I can skip straight to the climax, where the girl is locked in a shrine somewhere during a fair having fantasy thoughts and needs help, while the guy is doing a stupid puppet show to make a few bucks (what he came to the town to do in the first place) instead of taking care of the girl ...

So this is one of those shows that I just couldn't bring myself to watch. I think I even tried twice.
The problem? The MC is out for revenge and is just way too into making everyone suffer. Like a sinful amount of vengeance. Even Gankutsuou (based on the Count of Monte Cristo) was less revengey than this show and that is based on the classical novel about revenge. I just can't watch this. Period. If you want an isekai that's still somewhat revengey but actually watchable, try Re:Zero. That show I didn't like either but it was better than Redo of Healer in practically every way, if ...

Wow so first off this is one of the better Isekais out there. First, the MC grows up as a baby instead of being dropped in with full overpoweredness. Unfortunately it's a baby/child with a pervy old man's sex drive, which makes some early scenes funnier than they should be.
The show managed to remain compelling to watch across 23 episodes counting both seasons. This is also a compliment to the show since most isekais are trash and I drop them by episode 3.
