This has been one of my favorite anime in a while. A truly underrated show, it's ridiculous that it has only 6.23/10 review as only 6 episodes came out so far, and the other reviewers only watched 3 episodes... Anyways, to my review [Mild spoilers] The MC is cute and sweet, though we discover she has a sad back-story (I relate to it, though I'm not overweight but was also bullied etc). All in all, after an accident where MC becomes amnesic, she woke up optimistic, always looking on the bright side of things, and tries to always see the good in other people. The ... show starts by being more light-hearted and comedic but then a dark story around her starts to unravel, as she painfully starts regaining memories and discovers she may have been murdered. It's a surprising and interesting development!!

And the start of the love story of her with her work colleague is really sweet (though she discovered that her old self used to take photos of him when he walked outside in the park, and she didn't ask him asking him for his permission, that's terrible! Her new self is also schocked by it).
For some other negatives, I agree with some other reviews that it's a shame that the animators/producers, sometimes, over-exaggerate things about her weight such as in a couple of the comedic scenes, as she walks away they put weirdly thumping sound effects, and the opening theme has her overexaggerate her movements (though the ending theme is very sweetly animated), but, overall in the anime I think she is cutely well animated so I think there are more benefits than issues about the design choices. And, as the episodes progress, it seems that the MC is taken more seriously by the animators/producers and I don't recall there being instances like this that people could interpret as "fat-phobic" (I think the animators/producers purposefully added in some "fat-phobic" animation traits at first, because maybe they were afraid the overwhelmingly thin Japanese population would not be drawn the anime? In any case that's a shame and doesn't justify what they did). But yeah, still, overall the large majority of the time she's cutely animated and I think she is very likeable and cute and is a positive representation still. It's also nice to see an MC that doesn't look like an anorexic stick with the boring classical anime-girl features.

TLDR; interesting and cute MC with a compelling, albeit sad backstory, with mystery elements, one of my favorite shows in a while!

I'm really looking forward to the developments of this anime.

If you love people defying gender stereotypes, this story is for you!

Madoka is a boy who loves being pretty and wearing dresses. However, after people mock his tastes, he tries to act in a more "masculine" way in his new school. But funnily, in this new school, his neighbor is a girl who also defies gender stereotypes; she has short hair and acts in a very "masculine" manner!

Throughout the story, both characters become friends and learn that gender stereotypes are dumb, and will happily continue their hobbies with confidence; it doesn't matter if you are a boy and wear dresses, nor if you are a ... "boyish" girl!

A great feel-good story with adorable protagonists.
