Even when reading the manga, I had a feeling that it wouldn't be for me, but I decided to give the anime a try.
A sports romance that didn't interest me, since I don't play sports and don't even like them, and a shōnen romance that isn't anything new that I haven't seen before. The only thing that makes it different from the others is the sport, but if you take that away, you'll find that it's no different from the others. The sports represented here are benbington, basketball, and gymnastics, but the first two are featured the most. Where is the gymnastics?
Another thing I don't
...
like is the pace, which is slow, if not non-existent. Before they get anywhere, there are many unnecessary parts that don't advance the plot or the development of the relationship and don't bring anything new. I do like romantic anime, but I prefer it to be fast-paced rather than slow, where you can see the progress, not where I have to listen to the MC say over and over again that he likes this girl and does nothing about it.
A love triangle in which all three characters are so inhibited that it can't even be considered romantic. Chinatsu and Taiki should be the main couple, but there is no indication of this. Normally, we would expect Chinatsu or Taiki to make the first move towards the other, but in the end, we see that they do nothing. Chinatsu is confused and doesn't know what's going on, and Taiki just drools over her, saying that a girl he likes has come to live with him. In the end, I think Chinatsu isn't even interested in Taiki, because if she were, she would have done something about it. Only Hina is "fighting" for Taiki, but she doesn't do anything about it, she just talks a lot about how she "loves" him. If she wanted him, she would have stolen him long ago. Taiki is a typical nerd and wimp who admires Chinatsu but can't tell her how he feels about her, while Hina is interested in him, but he deliberately ignores her and ultimately rejects her (who expected a different outcome? Not me). So, in the end, neither of them knows how to take a step forward, and they just tread water.
I don't know how long it will last, but what I do know is that another character has appeared before the end, and it won't be the first or last to show up. I don't know what the author is trying to achieve, since it's already a mess, but another character won't help matters, it will just drag out the already drawn-out plot even more. I don't understand how you can do nothing in 25 episodes.
For me, the childhood friend is already a worn-out cliché, as if there has always been a third or fourth character in the romance between two characters who has to interfere with their relationship and disrupt it, because she's a friend, or who knows who, which means she's automatically in love with him, but I don't really root for the main couple because their relationship hasn't developed at all. As a result, I don't enjoy reading or watching it. What's worse is that the manga already has over 20 volumes and the anime is going into its second season, so I'm curious to see where they want to take it, since nothing significant has happened even in 25 episodes.
Animation-wise, it's good, and I liked the second OP, but the other OP/EDs weren't bad either.

I was more than satisfied with the first season, but as is often the case with this author, the beginnings are always the best, and the rest is just a repetitive song that never ends. All of her well-known manga, whether it's Urusei Yatsura (those annoying aliens), Maison Ikkoku, InuYasha, Kyoukai no Rinne, or her latest, Mao, have over 100 chapters, and Ranma is no exception. It's another one of her endless, repetitive plots with so many characters that you can't help but wonder where they all come from. Her stories aren't bad, just unnecessarily long. If they were only half as long, they would
...
have more potential.
And that's exactly why I'm a little bored with the second sequel. The point is clear (Akane meets Ranma, whom she is supposed to marry one day), but the fact that there are so many characters makes the story unnecessarily long and we never reach the end. And the most unnecessary are the episodes that started and ended without anything changing. The most boring are the competitions in which nothing is actually being competed for. There is no episode in which their relationship deepens, and even if there were, it would either end awkwardly with nothing happening in the end, or it would be deliberately sabotaged for amusement, so it would end up with the same result.
As far as romance goes, this is one of the slowest, if not the slowest, you will ever see. It is literally difficult to gauge how far they have progressed in their relationship, but based on the plot, it is safe to say that they are still at the starting line. This is disappointing for me, as I like faster-paced romances where I can not only see their relationship, but also feel it (I mean kissing and so on), that they are serious about it, without unnecessary clichés.
As for the comedy, it's fine and entertaining.
As always, MAPPA did the best job and brought us the best artwork/animation, and I'm happy with it.
Finally, I would be happy if it ended with this season, because I'm not really interested in seeing more of the same without any major plot developments.

Another awkward and boring MC, and that's exactly what ruins every romance they appear in. Why do they turn guys into wimps who would wet themselves when they're with a girl? It's unwatchable. When will I see an MC who isn't a wimp but a real man?
And what kind of romance is this when he's been dating her for a week and he's already thinking about how she's cheating on him and wants to break up with him, it doesn't make sense, why would she say yes in the beginning only to dump him right away?
And of course, there must be competition, who rejected him
...
in the past and now suddenly thinks she loves him too (what a coincidence, when he finally finds a girl, she falls in love with him) and does everything to break up their relationship (I won't say anything if it was short-lived, but she tries to do it all the time). After all, what kind of romance would it be if there wasn't jealousy from the other girl who also loves the same guy, it wouldn't be romance anymore and the Japanese don't recognize that kind of romance. (their classic mentality) they basically don't know any other version of romance, there are always two girls.
On top of that, there are the girlfriends of the chosen one, who are initially bothered by the fact that she has a boyfriend and constantly watch the main MC as if he were the prime suspect. When something happens, they immediately threaten him with what they will do to him if he breaks her heart, because he is their darling who has so much love in him that he wouldn't hurt a fly. And I'll also mention the MC's friends, if you can call them that, who are just there to make up the numbers but are worthless because they're no better than the MC.
Another thing that cannot be missing in such romances is unnecessary drama (sometimes we play on emotions so as not to say anything), the last thing I need to see and without which such a romance would not be complete (generally, most anime are based on this cliché, so there's nothing I can do about it). It also bothers me when they keep pushing other guys who are after a girl who is already taken, and vice versa, girls who are after a guy who is already taken. If they're not dating anyone, they don't show up, but as soon as they have someone, they always show up, even if they don't bring anything new, they just get in the way unnecessarily.
It was nice that they went to play airsoft in episode 8, which hadn't happened in the romance series yet, but what they showed there was like children playing, no strategy, just shooting blindly, and on top of that, it was short.
It was nice that his friends found their favorites and it was already clear that it could work out, but what kind of Japanese guys would they be if they didn't end up in the friend zone, which is another cliché to add to the collection.
There are so many clichés that it doesn't bring anything new, only the names change, but inside it remains the same. For me, it's a big, big disappointment because I'm still looking at the same template. For me, it's trashy romance that's not worth anything, and there's a lot of that.

I'll start by saying that MC, even though they say he's 17, behaves at the level of 13 or less. What surprises me is that I would expect him to behave like a classic young adult rebel, just like the sisters. His behavior is just unnatural and watching it knowing that he's more than he's acting was painful. The sisters are classically the best top students in the school that everyone admires, which is starting to annoy me after a few similar animes, and at the same time they are just the right rebels who soften up over time and fall in love with MC,
...
just because he's nice and caring to them. MC has no "talent", but he knows how to do household chores that unlock FMC's hearts, which eventually turns into extreme blushing. So not a minute goes by without the four of them blushing like tomatoes.
The plot itself is not that bad, it's just simply shounen, which spoils the overall enjoyment of watching, as they don't let go of the boundaries of clichés and contrived themes, which made it a nice cringe in some episodes. In the end, I'm slightly disappointed that it could have been better. I liked the drawing/animation, the OP/ED wasn't bad either, they just didn't excite me.

As for the fact that it is labeled as “seinen”, I found out that nothing has actually changed, just an F was added before the MC. It is sad that FMC has such low self-esteem and behaves like a lot of other MCs from other romances, suffering from fear of people. I expected a little more mature behavior or processing. Because that behavior ends up ruining the whole atmosphere and making it a cliché, literally.
The artwork is not bad and the animation is average. I liked the OP/ED, except for the overall processing, which is already played out. It is a shame that something new,
...
the combination of not pretty characters with pretty ones, which I would say that FMC is still at a good level in terms of beauty, ends up in the same rut as a lot of similar romances. So in the end, beauty does not play a role in whether the plot will be good or bad. And continuing by having the classic triangle appear there is probably unnecessary. This is probably how original this work is. It's a real shame, because this had potential that was ultimately not used. I don't know what they were trying to achieve with those triangles, but it hurts more than it helps (and I won't lie, it was intentional on her part, so she can't expect a better result). I'm really disappointed, I had high hopes for this, also because FMC doesn't have much beauty.

An alternative version of Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi o Suru. This is what it would look like if a shonen author took it on.
And I have to say, it's really rubbish. I managed to watch it just fine for the first 8 ep. After that, I kept skipping it because I couldn't watch it anymore, I can still understand that they're going to make it an awkward comedy but also a drama where everyone cries that they can't do cosplay (ugh) and stuff like that, that's too much.
Especially when ririsa does a scene in ep 9. (crying like a little kid who lost a
...
toy) just because she lost her skirt and can't do cosplay. WTF who would cry for such an asshole and then everyone there comforts her, oh it made me sick.
Again there is an awkward and boring MC who has overreactions (when will we finally get a MC who will be different and won't do such childish scenes).
The women here are really they what (and when I mean the women I mean their awkward teacher who has the same behaviour as her pupils for her age) which is another pain. Everyone there is screaming like a deaf person, having overreactions or ideas, etc. But I get it, it's already part of the shonen. (and that's what I don't like about it)
Irrelevant backstory that doesn't give us anything we don't learn during the anime, they just play it up for drama.
The only one who sews the costumes here is ririsa even she manages that in record time and in one night (which they only showed once overall) and the costume looks like it's made by a professional which takes days or weeks for a wakan to make something like that and here's the difference between shonen and seinen, where shonen doesn't bullshit and doesn't deal with that kind of stuff, we just put a character in there who knows how to do it automatically, whereas with seinen it's beautifully illustrated how difficult it is to make a costume like that, how much work it takes and what it costs.
Overall it's a below average classic shonen that's not worth watching, (and already reminded me of a few similar ones like Cuckoo no Iinazuke or Kanojo mo Kanojo) a comedy based on awkward situations and clichés is not a comedy and it doesn't bring anything new that you wouldn't see from X other similar anime.
I personally didn't enjoy it and although I haven't read the manga but I've heard that it contains nudity which the anime doesn't have so I don't rate it so low because I miss it (maybe it would look different with it) but just because of the characters themselves, the plot and most importantly that it's a shonen which I couldn't stand in places.

It's been a few years since I dropped it after 8 ep. But even after all those years I still can't like Fuuko. Her behavior bothered me the whole time. For a comedy, she was unnecessarily concerned with things that she may not be interested in and overall she's going through too much. Andy is a tough guy, but she's more of a ball that drags the comedy down. And of course, my favorite, unnecessary backstories must not be missing. Personally, I wasn't interested in them as always, they're just overly tragic anyway, but I didn't have to, when during the ep. they still managed
...
to summarize what happened in the last few minutes a few times or throw in a few longer flashbacks to remind us of something from the previous few episodes.
Later episodes start with a few minutes of recapitulation of the previous ep. as if we had forgotten what it was about in that short time and then they also give some kind of repeat within the episode. In ep. 17, I confirmed this beautifully when I skipped the first 6 minutes. + with OPs that recapitulated the previous ep. to get to the original plot, so I have to say it's a pure waste, seeing more flashbacks than the plot itself.
when I look past all that, the art/animation is good and I liked the first OP/ED too, but the characters were a bit meh and I didn't really need them most of the time, which ultimately led to the plot itself not being that exciting to me to give it more. I think seeing it once was enough for me, I wouldn't watch it again.

I'll also join in. At first I didn't really believe the term drama and every ep. I expected it to break out, only after a few ep. I said to myself that it wasn't bad at all, that it had nothing to do with drama so why did they label it there. I started to like it and every week I was impatiently waiting for the next ep. I really liked the animation which captivated me and the style like from old fairy tales never tired me. As well as the ED and the second OP which I liked. Of the characters I liked the
...
most was Stark (I'm just waiting for Stark to get together with Fren) whom I liked, but I also liked the other characters themselves. So there's nothing to criticize. Simply a great anime which deserves 10/10.

To begin with, I disagree with the title (Hokkaido Girls are super adorable!) since the only female character type that appeared there is a gyaru (google it) and that is not what kind of beauty (it looks nice in the anime but in reality I would be ashamed to have such a girlfriend).
Finally, a romance that takes place in winter (oh how I love winter). After all those summer and year-round anime where all seasons change in 12-24 ep., there is finally a purely winter affair. So that should be the introduction.
I like it when romance takes place in winter, it is a beautiful season
...
that unfortunately does not get much space on the scene, which is a shame for me, seeing a walk in the park when it is snowing is not seen very often, or a snowball fight, building a snowman, igloos and similar winter activities. (which wasn't shown here but could have)
The only thing that ruined it for me was the MC (and the girls themselves, who I also didn't like) who is traditionally a dick and overall it's a shounen. I hate that they make the guys into such jerks, then I don't enjoy watching anime like that.

By grace. I'm disappointed, I thought that older anime would be better than the newer and newest ones, that they would have a pinch of originality and something that would make them different from the others, but I was wrong. I stepped into the same shit again and I have to say that I didn't enjoy it, I went with the idea that it would be great, a scary comedy that would surprise me, but as soon as I saw the MC and the rest of the girls, I immediately remembered a few not-so-old anime where the characters were the same, so it was a
...
pain to watch. Especially when I saw the women as if they were fiddling with something.
The anime is 90% focused on beating up the MC who always flies away and ep. which mostly don't try to do anything more serious, mostly it's unimportant things where they invent villains, which I wouldn't mind so much if it had something to interest me but it always ended the way it started and the plot doesn't flow in any special way and the remaining 10% where something happens ends the same as the previous 90%. So it can't be considered a romance because they don't even try for it. towards the end they'll play it into a drama because for those about 20 ep. it couldn't and didn't want to, but right now when it's getting close to the end is the most appropriate moment.
The only thing I was happy about is the 4:3 image (again) and the footage of 21 min. which is atypical for anime so I was glad that the ep. were so short that in the end it didn't even matter because I didn't watch a single ep. anyway without forcibly skipping it.
