This anime tries to explore science and history alongside religion, showing that people can still believe in God while rejecting the church’s flawed authority, and seeking truth through science by proving the true movement of the Earth and the world.
Yet it leans too heavily on self-reliance and science as the ultimate guide, skipping over the Bible’s role and the guidance it offers from God to believers, as well as any part about relying on God himself.
The animation itself is very good, and the atmosphere can be easily felt. This anime is similar to Vinland Saga in its body work and is genuinely pleasant to watch.

reasons you might not enjoy this are the slow-ish pacing, multiple POVs in the same episode, and a lot of faith questioning, and no clear story.
Still, I think all of this smoothes the anime as a whole and makes it flow; they executed this adaptation well, including the awesome openings and endings. The only problem is that the story never got fully developed, it's not a philosophical anime, only saying that the faith in God is false and you should live by the flesh, and it's not a historical, since it only tried to be it but failed.
Overall, a wobbly 6.4/10.
