Why did i hadn't listen to this before? Why does this song do not have a review? Why does this song only has a tiny fraction of the views compared to other Kenshi Yonezu's works? since i discovered this song it became one of my all time favorites all the way up there with Hikari yo and Re Boot, at least by my standards this is an increadible work which deserves more recognition, popularity and better critics so i write this review (my very first and probaby only review) in hopes of getting more people too listen to Christmas Morgue with a more open mind ... and paying attantion to detail.

first of all the introduction is top tier, very simple yet very beautifull, it also plays the important roll of painting the armonic atmosphere that will be constant through the rest of the song focusing your attention on the chromatic thirds and the guitar chords with very beautifull sincopated rythms, then we have the first section with the percussion, chimming bells and the vocal chorus all kicking in perfectly to start the lyrycs that are suppoorted by the chromatic thirds motif, the next section introduces two new guitar tracks one playing broken thirds and the other playing the chords, then we have the power of the tubular bells and the sweetness of the flutes all while the bass gives a very standard but neat line, then the transition to the accordion supporting the now warm voice followed by the flutes that fill you with that energetic vibe, the percussion just keeps its quallity throughout all the song and finally the end arrives leaving you to rest and process what has just happened.

The lyrics are simply great, theres also some metaphors refering to religious stuff (anemones) and the animation is obiously not the last cola on the desert but when you take to consideration Kenshi Yonezu himself did it has more sense, the animation is not by any means bad, its rather nice. With all this too consideration an objective score for this work should be at least an 8 but im biased becouse im a musician so 10!!!!!!
