I binged most of Platinum End over a single day. It was an engaging and enjoyable read, and I couldn't put it down.
The first arc is rather dark for shounen, but not in a bad way. I found the way it explores what people would do with the powers the angels have given them interesting, and it was nice to watch the protagonist's growing resolve to figure out how to handle his own powers, allies and enemies.
The second arc is not as exciting and action-oriented as the first; it's a lot more wordy and cerebral on par with the mangakas' previous works, like Death Note
