It sucks that this anime has a horrible reputation in America, thanks to Funimation or whatever the hell company. It must be the worst victim of dubbing and change.
Amazingly this anime is my second favorite ever. It's amazing how you can have such a kickass story line for sooo long..and it just keeps getting better and better.
The animation is colorful and optimistic along with the characters and story. I could read this anime until I was 100.
Go read this manga now. You are completely missing out on the fun if you haven't read it already.

This anime was the coolest back when I was in middle school. If you are older and enjoy when the story actually goes somewhere, this isn't for you. This anime is draining money as much as it can..and takes 10 chapters for something small to happen. Artwork is cool, story is unique...but I can't enjoy reading for 3 hours only to find out barely anything happened.
Rukia is cute though.. Age group 10-14 Nuff said :(

This is your typical anime story line.
Wimpy boy gets beat up. Wimpy boy gets saved by a strong person. Wimpy boy trains to get stronger! It sounds boring and normal but the crazy thing is that it's not. I watched the anime and then I continued on to the manga (because I had no choice). If you are a guy you will love the artwork in this manga.
