I watch when I can and prefer to read. I often omit watching anime for the manga, except when I really, really like them.

I made this profile to remind myself on how much I've actually consumed... and to buy more copies of stuff I actually loved. And to remind myself to continue reading some really good series since I often read only halfway through (mostly because I'm a cheapskate who borrows stuff/goes digging in secondhand bookstores). A lot of titles from my childhood are also read sparingly, despite me liking it, so there's a ton of series labeled "on hold" or "dropped".

I don't give 9 or 10 ratings lightly, nor do I easily hate on a series. I try to explore as many genres as possible. Also, I mostly watch series with an already-established consensus of it being "good", "classic", or "promising", which sounds arrogant of me, but I simply don't want to watch something ridiculously bad. Reading, though, is a different matter, and I will read anything I can get my hands on, since comics are easier to skim than anime and consume less time.

My personal favorites, though, are series I can't help but to consume over and over and over again, while criticizing how flawed they are.
