You will never be bored and you will never have to wait for the anime to get good! And you cannot stay in the anime community and not know light and L, whether you watched death note or not! Every single episode upto chapter 25 was compelling and after that, cut all the near scenes and you will enjoy every second, if you are a light fan, heheh. And the writer managed to write a completely grey narrative, I love the moral ambiguity!!!
I would say, I never loved a rivalry better than Light and L's. And light is definitely the most perfectly written character there

Gets very tedious after some time, with the same pattern over and over again. Come across a crime scene, ran screams, and conan flicks the old man and catches the criminal and the criminal cries. If there was more content on the black organization, this anime might have scored more, but i am left waiting through 50+ episodes for a single flicker of gin/vermouth/etc. The storyline is not mature at all!
