The first few chapters are very entertaining if you're a fan of the game. its a really cute way to see a more in-depth view of Yosuke's past that wasn't displayed in-depth in the game. However, by chapter 5 it's just persona 4, and there's nothing new or interesting for people who have already played and its rehashing the same events over again with almost no changes to the p4 manga or the game.

If you're not a fan of the game, there's very little to get out of it. Yosuke is pretty endearing, but it's not long enough to have any meaningful impact for ... someone who's not a fan, and there's so little story that it's kind of pointless. It's a cute game addition but nothing more.

If you can stomach the mature and sensitive issues in this manga, it's worth reading what little we have so far. It may be in its infancy (7 chapters as of now), but I am highly excited to see how the story and the characters develop over time. While the characters aren't very well developed as of yet, there's the beginnings of complex character construction, and I'm excited to see them develop. The story itself is incredibly unique and engaging within the few chapters of set up.

Obviously, there's still very little to review of this manga - there's a lot of promise so far ... and it's hard not to get excited for what's to come. There's the underlying structure for a complex story and interesting characters with an engaging and interesting premise.

Its just...? I followed this manga as it was published for a little while (up until chapter 72), and I still can't name any stand-out characters or plot points. It's all just kind of there and doesn't do anything unique or interesting. It's not bad by any means; it's fine. It's a sufficient story with mildly likable characters and a plot. But it's just so generic! There's no interesting or complex development, and everything is told to you rather than shown and explored. It wasn't bad reading a chapter every once in a while, and it can hold your attention well enough for a chapter ... every month, but it's not a story that's particularly intriguing to sit down and read, and I was never particularly excited to read the next chapter. I only kept up with it because it became part of my routine rather than being interested in the story and characters. I don't think I could sit down and read all 100 and so of the currently published chapters without getting bored of the story entirely. It's just so average that it's not fun.

On one hand, I love this manga dearly. It's got a unique setting and amazing character concepts. on the other hand, I feel like it's just too short and lacks development.

The art is frankly stunning, detailed yet easy to read, vibrant, lively, and dynamic. The characters are sympathetic and loveable, and the whole plot and concept is really unique. The action scenes are dramatic and fluid and are jaw-dropping. I absolutely love the cafe and the way the characters interact with it. However, it just doesn't have the length it needs to give adequate development to the plot and characters. There are definitely some ... distinct and effective character-building moments, but some characters get brutally sidelined due to the length, so they feel far less interesting and fleshed out than they could've been and are harder to emote with as a result.The plot itself is interesting, but again, it could do with just more length to develop the complex relationships between characters and to really give the story time to breathe, it feels like there's just not enough time to have a super strong and intriguing plot because it doesn't fit within the 23 chapters - even though they are relatively long.

Overall, I do love this manga, and I think it's definitely worth the time it takes to read. It's hard not to enjoy Vincent and Fiona. There are definitely a few flaws, and I do think there was too much attempted for the length, but I'd say it's worth the read anyway as its strengths really outweigh its flaws.

since a lot of the reviews are really long ill keep this one short and sweet.

notee - this is mainly about friendship. many people call this a yaoi or a bl but this wasnt mentioned in the anime and its a really cute story about friendship - note

story - its a solid story, there are no major plot holes. there are some over-exaggerated elements, but these were rare and didnt take away from the show. there have been a lot of spoilers for this show, and many people know the ending already, but i would say that isnt a reason not to watch it. ... there are enough plot twists to make the story fasinating and intriguing even while knowing the ending, and you still get those feels a lot. 8/10
art - its nice, dynamic and smoothly done. in not a huge fan of the mouths but that is a personal preference, and the animation definitely lives up to mappas general standards. 9/10
sound - done well, some really nice scores, and when the ending song plays over the last scene in the last half of the show its really nice, 7/10
character - they all could do with a little more development, but the characters your meant to love are loveable, and the ones your meant to hate are hateable. many of the 'redemptions' dont work well, however most bad guys dont get a redemption and some work kinda nicely. 4/10

enjoyment- overall its very enjoyable. go watch. 9/10

now this has been said in every over review, but this film is pretty good. i was genuinely on the edge of my seat thinking 'what was gonna happen?', and for the most part the payoff was pretty good. my only problem was the scene at the end, this was relatively wholesome until this point. i didnt really look into this film before watching it, i just clicked on it at random, so maybe others who watched this had a better idea where this was going. but it still is incredibly uncomfortable and makes the ending of the film much less enjoyable.

Overall, its a good show. its enjoyable and fun. this isn't the generic sexual yaoi stuff, which makes it pleasant for everyone to watch and doesn't feel exploitive towards gay couples. it is a pretty generic romance, but with a dark undertone, which is also handled pretty well.

story- In general the story hits hard. while its a little predictable, it doesn't take away from the enjoyment at all. there is also sometimes a small twist, however the ending becomes pretty obvious. despite the predictability, it is still hella emotional, and it gave me the shivers multiple times

art- the art is ... pretty good. the lighting is fantastic and really makes the show feel more emotional.the colours are warm for the most part, exaggerating he warm, sentimental feel, however harsh lighting and dark moments are used well during the shocking or harsh moments. the animation is pretty solid throughout, and the exaggerated facial expressions work well. However, i do have one small complaint, because sometimes when the characters are speaking with a side profile the jaw doesn't move back making it look unnatural, but this is only in a few scenes and can be ignored easily.

sound- the music is really good. it really helps the emotion for the most part. the opening and ending are pretty good, and the score in the 8th episode works perfectly for the scene. my only complaint is that they could of used more music and a more prominent score for the montages.

characters- the characters are really nice, you end up really liking them all, and they all seems pretty human. they also have some character flaws brought up once or twice, which really makes you relate to the characters and see them as human beings not just anime boys. this makes the show hit a lot harder and more emotional. although i feel like some minor characters needed a little more balance. for example ugetsu and yayoi could do with showing a little more compassion and really just a scene each to hammer home the character the show wanted to. although you get the jist it would be nice for a little confirmation.

overall the show is pretty good and is definitely worth a watch. despite its dark undertones i enjoyed it a lot and it left me with a warm feeling. it is definitely a good romance, so if you like the genre you should check it out.
