first of all, the art…. it’s stunning. legit one of the most heavenly art styles I’ve seen so far. art is super detailed and overall just gorgeous.

the plot is also interesting so far, it’s pretty early on in the story so I’m not too sure what sort of development will happen and what the story’s direction is.

the main lead and the mc are interesting, side characters are intriguing too. my only minor issue was the age gap. I felt pretty iffy about it but on the bright side (?) he didn’t view the male lead romantically until he met him again at the time skip ... when the male lead has become an adult. well to be fair this isn’t modern day either so I can somewhat get by it.

besides that I’d definitely recommend ppl to give it a read.

I definitely recommend this read. it’s toxic, mainly one sided (in a sense of toxicity). the male lead is so twisted and manipulative but oh my god it’s so interesting. I don’t even know how to describe it.

let me tell you, the plot twist and foreshadowing was INSANE. there is a lot of codependency and possessiveness from the male lead. the entire story theres this lingering feeling that something’s off and the mc seems to feel it too but he pushes it away. hell the male lead is just genuinely so well written like HOLY.

HOWEVER, massive disclaimer that it is a bit twisted and has really sensitive topics, hence why I won’t recommend it for everyone. It has… very muddy lines with morals… so proceed with caution…

Let’s talk about the art first, it’s amazing. Gorgeous. The backgrounds do make me laugh a little but that’s a really minor detail that I picked up on. Otherwise, chef’s kiss.

Storywise, it’s fine, I don’t hate it nor do I love it. It’s very straight to the point, he’s trying to find his brother.

Characters… oh golly… they’re very well written. I have so many mixed feelings with ... the antagonistic characters but I love them at the same time.

I’d give it a read if you’re comfortable with the sensitive topics

At first I thought this manhwa wasn’t going to be good but oh boy was I wrong.

First, the art. It’s beautiful. I adore it wholeheartedly and the colors are amazing. 10/10 for the art.

Second, the story. It’s a pretty generic concept for BLs and romances in genre, nothing wrong with that. A bad student and a smart student tutoring him. I admit, it’s not that creative but when used right, it can be very interesting. I like how they added more to the story instead of just keeping it like that.

The first 20(ish) chapters were honestly meh… they were a bit boring but that’s to ... be expected in most cases. I just didn’t expect the first half to be boring for that long though. I’d say for the first half it was a 7/10. I was surprised that this was angsty as I read this thinking it was fluff. Making it have angst was a good move however, it added depth and made the second half much more enjoyable.

I’d definitely check this out (especially if you’ve read Problematic Leadership Activities as they have a similar plot and story).

The art for this particular BL is amazing and very pretty, however, the writing is genuine garbage. There is not much plot, it’s very repetitive, and it lacks any sort of story.

A quick rundown is basically the blonde hair guy keeps confessing and doing stupid shit to try to eventually win over the black haired guy (which he eventually does since it’s a BL) and it gets to the point he dangers himself and shit to win him over. At first the black hair guy is very indifferent and just wants to get rid of him but then he feels bad and just when he’s ... about to accept his feelings, characters are introduced to cockblock him. Not a very unique plot.

The development is terrible. The characters do change but it doesn’t feel much and feels forced to move the story along so they could finish it up.

Story wise it’s a 2.5/10, the art was genuinely the only thing that made me keep going to finish it. The most interesting chapter was the first chapter where it had some potential for more of a slightly dark masochistic romance but it seems like they scrapped that kind of storyline and chose to forget about it.

Waste of my time. The story isn’t horrid, if i try not to think about it for too long. It’s just a bit stupid. The artstyle is meh, not really interesting or eye catching. You move onto the actual plot, and wow… it’s also… meh. My main issue with the story everytime I think about it, is the WEIRD age gap. The relationship between the main leads is twisted. It’s slightly disturbing.

A bit of a backstory: The top was 3 years old and the bottom was 11 years old when they met and became neighbors. 8 years isn’t bad if they DIDNT have a brotherly ... neighborly relationship before dating. It’s outright weird as shit. They could’ve made their ages closer than having such a weird age gap. When the bottom was 18, the top was 10. Weird…

I honestly did not want or care for them ending up together. The whole time I was bothered by their ages but pushed through just to see the end of the story. I felt like the top didn’t really develop much as a character, he had his arc but he still felt the same and went back to his old ways.

I would not recommend reading this, the story is bland, the art is meh, and the characters are meh. Out of the whole cast I only liked the bottom’s old fling.

It’s……okay.. not bad but not interesting, just boring. The artstyle is pretty and nice, I will give it that. The rest, is meh. The story isn’t really that unique, the characters personalities are okay, they’re a bit twisted which there’s nothing wrong with that but it feels stupid in a way. It feels like they’re pushing too hard to make everyone in the story to be twisted but it kind of backfires as the story itself is very dry already.

There’s only two characters that have potential to come off more interesting, but there is not much development on them as they seem to revert ... back.

I really did want to try to like this story since I heard good things about it online but it just wasn’t interesting besides the pretty art. Although it’s not bad entirely, it’s still ongoing so I won’t outright say that it’s terrible. It just needs some more development and progression instead of introducing more meh characters.

The reason why I gave this a 9 and clicked mixed feelings is because of how intense it is at some parts. The main leads are both really codependent on each other, to the point it’s extremely toxic. HOWEVER, that is not necessarily a bad thing, especially for a story like this. Whether or not someone would enjoy this is based on if they like the tags listed with it. So if you like a bit of an unhealthy toxic relationship then yes you’d enjoy it.

The art style is really amazing and consistent which a bonus itself. However for some viewers it might be a ... bit overwhelming since it’s extremely detailed for nearly every panel. But yet again that’s based on preference itself. The story is still ongoing so I can’t say much about the characters, as it is still early on in the beginning of the story. I am excited to see how it plays out in the end.

I’d recommend giving it for a read if you like a codependent unhealthy relationship in development, if you’re unsure if that type of troupe is for you then I would not suggest reading this.

This is actually one of the more interesting web novel adaptations out there, especially with an incredibly unique plot! The story continues very consistently and remains interesting throughout (applies for both the novel and the manhwa) Some might say the side characters are a bit static but they do go through character development after some time. The art style is really nice too and is similar to ORV’s artstyle. There are a lot of characters but you get used to them eventually and they are introduced gradually so it doesn’t feel like they’re being shoved down your throat. It is a VERY long slow burn ... however so it might not be up to everyone’s speed. Romance is sort of a sub genre as there is a lot of suspense and action.
