I've seen a lot of hate comments for Satoko. Of course such remarks are justifiable, as Satoko becomes a solipsistic demon, who is fixated on her dream of being with Rika in Hinamizawa.
Despite her deception, manipulation and murder to achieve her dream, Satoko is an 11 year old mentally unstable girl, who has had an awful childhood. I'm not defending the actions of Satoko, as even 11 year olds are mature enough to understand that murder and violence are ethically wrong.
However, Satoko is in this unusual predicament where she has a profound level of oneitis and scarcity mindset.
Since Satoko is so young,
...
naive and lacks life experience, she isn't aware of a life that doesn't include Rika. The thought of Rika not being around her is torture as being with Rika is her life.
Initially, Satoko agrees to study for the st Lucia entrance exam and to attend the school with Rika. However, Satoko did not expect Rika to get so friendly with the other girls. Since the other girls are so posh and eloquent, Satoko is not compatible to getting along with them, so even though Rika invites Satoko to attend the tea meetings, she would rather watch them with jealousy.
Satoko also did not expect the studying to be so intense. It's true that one can put more hours in to studying to understanding the material and excelling in exams, but it does take a particular level of intelligence to keep up without it affecting ones health and well being. Satoko doesn't like studying. This makes sense as studying is unnatural and reading man made symbols does get dull. Especially when one does not have a career aspiration, it becomes incredibly difficult to build discipline or have any motivation to study. Satoko attended the school for the sole purpose of being with Rika and to enjoy her time with her. Since that wasn't happening, Satoko felt a sense of distress as her expectations were not met leading to resentment towards Rika as it felt like Rika had betrayed her.
Satoko is in this psychological catch 22 situation. Her options are either to attend st Lucia and be able to be around Rika, where the curriculum is intense and Rika spends her time with others. Or Satoko stays behind in Hinamizawa, where she is not around Rika and will need get through the withdrawal symptoms of not seeing Rika, and acclimate herself to spending time with others or herself.
Logically, the solution is to stay behind in Hinamizawa as a friendship is not bounded by proximity. She will still get the chance to see Rika whenever both of them get time off. However since Satoko has such a scarcity mindset, she isn't able to imagine a world where she rarely sees Rika and isn't able to spend her time with Rika.
If Satoko truly loved the friendship with Rika, she would allow Rika to pursue her dream and attend st Lucia. Even after discovering how Rika has been in a century long time loop in Hinamizawa, Satoko understands why Rika wants to leave, but she values her dependence on Rika too much to allow Rika to leave.
This is solely due to not having an abundance mindset. If Satoko had other friends that she was as close to as she is to Rika, there wouldn't be much of an issue. Satoko would be comfortable and would respect Rika for wanting to pursue her dream. However, since Satoko is so emotionally attached to Rika, she will do anything to be in her presence.
After the first few time loops of attempting to adjust to st Lucia, Satoko realises that she isn't mentally and socially built for such a school, so fixates on preventing Rika from applying for the school.
It's comprehendible why Satoko has such a scarcity mindset. Satoko is very young where the only close friend she has had is Rika. Her parents passed away, Satoshi disappeared and her uncle and aunt abused her. Rika has always been there for her subsequent to Satoshi, so she finds comfort in being close to Rika.
Overall, Higurashi Sotsu was incredibly enjoyable to watch. It answered many of the questions I harboured, like how characters such as Rena, Mion, Kei or Shion would contract the syndrome. It's obviously despicable how Satoko injects her friends and makes them mentally deranged in an attempt to find a way to get Rika to alter her plans.

This anime is a must watch for understanding how teenage love blossoms and female nature.
From the very start, we are introduced to Kotoko who is determined to establish a relationship with Naoki despite there being a difference in class, beauty, intellect, temperament and achievements. From the moment Kotoko lays her eyes on Naoki, she observes that he is a tall chad and an incredible orator. Other girls admire his presence and dream to be with him which gives him pre-selection. Essentially that includes every feature a boy in secondary school needs to be a heartthrob for all the girls.
It is natural for Kotoko to fall
...
for Naoki. In the circle of people she is familiar with, he is her hypergamous choice. The constant contempt from Naoki may have deterred Kotoko from continuing to win him over, but living together only made her attraction stronger.
Even though Kotoko has Kin-chan who would do almost anything for her and constantly conveys his love, she dismisses all his attempts to impress her. Despite Kin-chan rescuing her father when her house collapsed from a minor earthquake, her mind was still occupied by Naoki.
Naoki instantly rejects Kotoko. He does not even bother to read her love letter. Just from looking at her, he is aware that he is far above her league. There is no prejudice towards Kotoko, as Naoki is dismissive to all the girls who constantly provide him with attention. Naoki is so used to the appraisal of girls that it is an annoyance.
Naoki is a difficult character to understand as his thoughts are never revealed. He is able to ace every exam, but does not dedicate time to studying. It is shown that he enjoys playing tennis as he is part of the tennis club in school. Apart from that his interests are undisclosed and it is a mystery what he does in his free time.
Although there is disdain for Kotoko from Naoki, in episode 7 Naoki kisses Kotoko in seclusion after her attempt to reveal his embarrassing baby pictures. The kiss comes after Naoki pins Kotoko to the wall, where Kotoko confesses that she has had enough and will no longer display love for Naoki. Naoki impulsively kisses Kotoko on the lips, which is a shock for Kotoko, the viewers and maybe even Naoki’s subconscious mind. This was probably the worst time to kiss Kotoko as she had just engaged in an act of shaming him, where kissing her should have been reserved as a reward. This will program her to think she can get away with misbehaving with Naoki. There are no repercussions to misconduct. The justifications for the kiss are that Kotoko confessing such terrible news must have hurt his ego, he may have been harbouring secret feelings for Kotoko or his understanding of female nature is poor, so he did not realise he should not take a woman seriously when she is emotional. The benefit from the kiss is that Kotoko will have a rise in confidence for establishing a relationship with Naoki, and Naoki probably had the huge burden of wanting to display love lifted off his back.
It is unexpected that Naoki would catch feelings for Kotoko so fast. Since there is no progression in Naoki slowly displaying more affection, the kiss felt very abrupt. I suspect that from spending a large quantity of time with Kotoko, he realised that she is feminine, polite, sweet, kind and amicable. Appearance is vital for liking someone, and Kotoko is cute and certainly at least average looking. From being with such a cute sweet girl it was inevitable that Naoki would catch some sort of feeling. As Naoki has a myriad of options, it is difficult to choose one. Since Naoki seems to have no interest in dating probably because no girl reaches his standards, he has likely never experienced the feeling of being in love. From spending time with Kotoko, love naturally grows. Where one’s first love is always precious and kept close to the heart. So even if Kotoko has various flaws, she is his first love and the only love he has comprehended.
Despite Naoki displaying love through the kiss, Kotoko becomes an even bigger simp for Naoki. She stalks Naoki in college, joins the tennis club, reluctantly stalks Naoki while he is on a date with another girl and continues to pedestalise him to a greater extent. It would be assumed that since the kiss, Kotoko would have less passion for Naoki as the feelings she sought after are slowly being reciprocated. However since she is obsessed with him, it makes sense that she would want to know everything about his college life. It can also be deduced that her love for Naoki was not limerence, as after a genuine kiss, a person may realise they were only in love with the idea of being with someone. In this case Kotoko still intensely chases after Naoki, which shows she wants an actual relationship with him.
Coincidentally both Naoki and Kotoko go on dates. Kotoko actually gives Kin-chan a chance to spend some alone time with her. It is common for women to go on dates with men they have no interest in for amusement, food or attention. Kotoko seemed to be genuinely having fun during the date seen by her smiling and laughing. Due to this Kotoko does not have contempt for Kin-chan, but still does not view him as appealing. Honestly Kin-chan looks like he has a better facial bone structure than Naoki so he may have had a chance if he was not such a simp and did not ruin his dignity.
Naoki introduces himself to Christine for the sake of his father's business. He seriously considers pursuing Christine as that would be the most altruistic move to make. Due to this, Kotoko panics and considers establishing a romantic relationship with Kin-chan. This may seem like a victory for Kin-chan, but despite his feelings being with Kotoko would be the worst financial, emotional, logical and strategic decision of his life. The only reason Kin-chan was considered is that apart from Naoki, he is the only other guy she can think of. So in the dating game, he may think he won Kotoko, but in reality he won by default as all the other players had left the game at that time. It is only a victory emotionally, but logically being with a girl who would rather be with another guy is self inflicted torture.
When Kotoko gets invited to try Kin-chan’s cooking, Kin-chan directly asks for a response to his unrequited feelings. Since he does not get the response he hoped for, he breaks down and intimidates her by grabbing on to her. When he realises he is scaring her, he lowers himself to the ground in a submissive posture wailing in defeat. Him lowering himself in front of her is symbolic of how he pedestalises her. From a dating perspective that was the worst move Kin-chan could make to retain or elicit interest. From being viewed as a simpy friend, he will now be viewed as an aggressive uncontrollable creep.
After Kin-chan’s emotional outburst, Kotoko meets Naoki with an umbrella outside the train station. This is where Kotoko concedes to logic, and realises she has lost Naoki to Christine and her only option is Kin-chan. Theoretically, Kotoko is young cute and chaste, so she has a profoundly high value in the dating marketplace. She has confined herself to only viewing two guys, as she is naive and does not understand her intrinsic value. Also women do not like the idea of being single, so since Christine has entered the picture, she realises she cannot keep imagining being with another girl’s guy. She would rather go through heartbreak with a companion than suffer it alone.
Fortunately for her there is no heartbreak written in her destiny. When Kotoko announces she will resort to reciprocating Kin-chan’s feelings, that triggers Naoki’s fight or flight response to secure Kotoko before she is lost to competition.
I speculated that after marriage Naoki may soften up and display slightly more affection to Kotoko, but he does not overtly change. When Naoki goes drinking with his friends he is surrounded by girls flirting and basking in his presence. Despite being married, he enjoys the attention. Kotoko quietly watches this and it becomes clear to her that Naoki still has pre-selection.
In his defence, since entering medical school he has become a lot more occupied with studying and he does not know how to show affection, so it likely takes up a lot of his cognitive thinking. So instead of thinking of ways to overtly love Kotoko, he focuses on their future and the long term through studying. However Naoki does love Kotoko shown through his concern for her when she faints and by supporting her with her nursing aspiration.
Naoki has been portrayed as a guy who is reclusive and mysterious. It is plausible that Naoki is much busier in medical school compared to secondary school, but he assumes Kotoko should understand that without him ever communicating about his studies. This is demonstrated when Kotoko asks Naoki whether he is willing to visit the park to see the hydrangea flowers. Naoki says he will be unavailable due to a meeting. Kotoko has an emotional outburst and starts throwing books at him. This catches Naoki off guard as he thought Kotoko would understand, even though he rarely expresses how much workload he has. As shown repeatedly in this anime, the male character slaps the female to calm her down. This results in Kotoko staying the night at her friend’s place to cool down and contemplate the relationship. This was quite shocking as Naoki has always been dismissive and slightly apathetic, so for Kotoko to assume Naoki would change his entire personality was wishful hope. There are moments when Naoki hugs Kotoko or conveys love such as after the marriage announcement, but they are rare and Naoki mostly does this to comfort Kotoko and dispel confusion.
Kotoko staying the night at her friend’s was an awakening moment for me. I thought Kotoko would never evaluate the relationship, as he is her hypergamous choice and she is infatuated with him, but she still has that idealistic concept of relationships. Hypothetically, if Naoki became more affectionate and amicable, it would eventually deter Kotoko as that was not the guy she fell for. To retain a girl one must keep the form that attracted her in the first place. So Naoki putting himself and work first is the most effective way to retain the girl and to improve his life.
There is a scene where Kotoko asks permission to go out drinking with her friends that night. Instead of politely giving consent, Naoki critiques her for her incompetence in making decisions. Naoki may not realise this, but Kotoko asking for permission is incredibly submissive, docile and feminine. Any guy would rather know the whereabouts of his wife than be unaware. It is a biological territorial trait of a man to want to protect his wife and prevent issues by safeguarding her. My justification for Naoki's behaviour might be that he assumes that since she is a mature girl, she should be capable of making her own decisions and that it is indecisive to seek assistance.
Ironically, even though Kotoko is married, she garners the interest of Keita who falls for her incompetence and innocence. Keita gets close to Kotoko by helping her with the nursing practicals. Keita notices Naoki's hostile demeanour towards Kotoko and deduces that he does not love her. After the scene where Kotoko asks for drinking permission, Keita hugs Kotoko in her dejected vulnerable state and advises her to break up with Naoki. Naoki does get jealous of the frequent encounters between Kotoko and Keita.
Overall this anime was an absolute pleasure to watch. It is clear when I love an anime as I have to restrain myself from watching the next episode. The only criticism I have is that the anime is 25 episodes but takes place over a 10 year time span. If only there were more episodes to show more content. Since it was short it was like watching the key profound events of a couple’s life. Maybe if there were more casual episodes to learn more about the characters and their daily life it would make the anime more complete. I enjoy animes that are realistic mirror female nature and portray theories from the red pill, so I loved every second of this anime.

Imagine being a teenage boy and suddenly having a crowd of maid confirm to anything you say including any of your wildest desires.
Initially, one will be in profound shock and amused , where one may even be shy to request anything.
However after a while of understanding how everything works and having Ichigo, Sango and Ringo consistently seduce you every night, I'm sure any sane heterosexual male would just succumb to their carnal desires. Tarou seems to rather sleep alone , and seems to act asexual. Maybe it's because he is too young to have such desires or written to be portrayed as pure and
...
innocent. It certainly would have been more realistic and entertaining if he politely rejected the sexual requests the first few times, but running away and complaining about it is ludicrous and gay.
I honestly thought maybe he is either too young, asexual or gay, however after a period of time spent with Marielle, he ended up catching feelings for her. I guess Tauro has more of a feminine mind where he only wants to have a close relationship with those of the opposite gender that he has an emotional connection to. Konoe did also say that he could just instruct Marielle to sleep with him if he desires where the Hanaukyou maids have no choice but to conform. However, Tarou seems to be seeking genuine idealistic love. The kind of love that is unconditional and wants Marielle to love him to just love him.
Tarou did inherit the residence from the passing of his mother. So maybe that left a void inside, where he is seeking for that motherly unconditional love. Marielle was brought up for the sole reason to cater to all of Tarous needs and to adhere to all his orders. She does not have any opposing opinions to him, and she does not question any of his commands. Everything she does is in the hope to satisfy and make Tarou happy.
If Tarou wasn't so feminine and idealistic, he would realise that he is surrounded by maids that don't have the autonomy to express their own thoughts or criticisms. He would realise that Ryuuka was right, and he is a short timid guy that is not fit to be the master.
Tarou is presented as a teenager that is granted the dream scenario of any sane heterosexual male, but does not conform to his natural biological tendencies maybe because he has low levels of testosterone or is not in the right frame of mind due to losing his mother.
The anime would have been genuinely more satisfying to watch if Tarou did eventually succumb to his natural desires. I'm not saying it should be a hentai, I'm saying that maybe the anime could show the issues of a guy that has everything he desires but still has a void that can't be filled. Maybe it could've showed the difference between lust and love, where his love for Marielle surpasses mindless lust driven sex. Maybe even if the writers don't want Tarou to be engaging in degenerate sex, Tarou could have been written as a character that has such sexual inclinations, but due to having morals, he does not succumb and preserves himself for the right girl.

I'm sure every guy has dreamed of being in a dormitory with a bunch of girls, especially when there are no other residing males. I kind of wish the anime displayed the negatives of residing with only females, but it seemed Wataru loved interacting with them, eating and hanging out with them.
Wataru is displayed as a playboy that got suspended from the school twice. Young females do have a tendency to be attracted to bad boys or guys that don't follow the rules, as these types of men tend to be assertive, dangerous and mysterious. There were a few girls in the dormitory that
...
had an obvious crush or liking for Wataru such as Umi and Miyaho.
The liking Umi has for Wataru makes sense as they are childhood friends and made many memories together. Also the fact that Umi's mother hooked up with Wataru's father and fled to Tokyo to establish a relationship. They share the same pain of losing a parent and were demonised for being together. They hang out together illicitly as their guardians would be disappointed or there would be consequences for having a relationship. This is evident as Umi is scared to inform her father of the new combined gender dorm, likewise Wataru does not inform his grandparents and they hear from a third party. An illicit relationship is definitely fun to have due to the risk of potentially being caught and the enjoyment of being aware of doing something bad and continuing to do it.
Initially when I saw Umi start crying over the supposed sad scary story at the beginning of her arc, I had a negative perception of her. I thought she was being overly emotional or seeking sympathy or comfort for attention. She is also portrayed as an innocent feminine girl that is so perfect as she gets along with everyone and does all the cleaning and cooking of the dorm. Also, as a cherry on top she looks incredibly cute with long blond hair , so I was suspicious that she must have some kind of flaw. I do feel slightly guilty for assuming that Umi was attention seeking as that sad story was based on her mother leaving her, so she was genuinely crying as it reminded her of not having a mother. Everyone has a flaw, where I suppose Umi's flaw is that she is quite vulnerable and overly emotional. This is seen when the dorm group are at a festival, where Umi gets apprehensive as she gets detached away from the group. Instead of looking around to find the group like any other logical individual, she stands in one place and was visually upset. She also seemed like the type of girl to bottle up issues and not express her concerns to others including the ones that love her as those troubles will trouble them. Apart from that, Umi is an incredibly attractive girl, so it's confusing why Wataru does not view her as a potential girlfriend and keeps her friendzoned.
If I had to speculate why Wataru does not establish a romantic relationships with Umi, it would be because he is still in love with his first love Naoko. I understand that if he is still in love with Naoko, he is blinded by this love, so he is ignoring every other girl that shows liking towards him as his eyes are exclusively on Naoko. The Naoko arc was interesting as it portrayed Wataru acting like a beta male simp being desperate for Naoko's attention and going above and beyond to display his love for her. It is a canon event for every male to be a simp for a girl , so it's amusing to see how far a guy is willing to go just because a female is beautiful. Naoko was clearly not interested in him for various reasons including her being older, Wataru being perceived as a playboy but acts like a simp for her and her having a crush on the star gazer. When Naoko gave out a date invitation to Wataru, I was wondering why she would do this where I thought she felt pity for him or was feeling bad for him , so decided to finally give him what he wants. When I realised Naoko invited Wataru out to show off to the star gazer and potentially get the star gazer to like her, I was impressed by her thought process. On the surface it seems like a mutual exchange where Wataru got a date and Naoko got to show off to the star gazer, however the gain was more on Wataru's side as he realised how females actually operate which opened his eyes to how females can use males for self interested gains. Naoko's plan works from a female perspective as she thought that the star gazer seeing that shes dating other guys would be a form of preselection, where it shows that she is desired by other guys. However, males don't care about preselection, they are actually repulsed that a female is hanging around other guys or has experience with many men. The reason this is, is that men are independent thinkers so don't need the approval of other men to indicate which female to date or which female to avoid. As long as a girl is beautiful and perceived as feminine, the male will be naturally attracted to her.
Even though Wataru got used by Naoko and he is aware that she has no interest in him, he still has hope of being her boyfriend. When Wataru joined the dormitory and saw Naoko there, he requested Naoko to be his girlfriend where Naoko exclaimed 'forgiving a woman who used you for her own purposes just like that? You're worthless '. I love how Naoko is so blunt and can explicitly display her disgust for his simpy behaviour and can reject him in such a way where it's embarrassing for Wataru for even requesting such a stupid request. Wataru needs to have more self respect for himself and understand that it's not worth chasing after a girl that he has unrequited feelings for. It's definitely fun and exciting to set a romantic goal to attain Naoko, but if she was to be his girlfriend, the relationship would be full of issues as he would remain a simp and be blinded by her beauty whilst she constantly disrespects him and uses him. Although bluntness is a masculine trait, I appreciate Naoko for only using him once and having the confidence to confront his simpy behaviour. Women naturally avoid confrontation with a man as it potentially could turn physical where they tend to reject guys in a polite way or will lead the guy on and show implicitly that she has no interest.
Miyano was also an interesting character that locked herself up in her mansion after Wataru gave his opinion on her school project. Even though his opinion was vague and wasn't explicitly negative in any kind of way, Miyano felt dissatisfied with his opinion as she probably wanted to impress him with all the effort she put in to the project and wanted a more positive response. Also the project was based on her grandfather so it had more of an emotional tie to her , so I understand to an extent why she reacted so radically to Wataru's response. It's ambiguous to why Miyano has a liking for Wataru but it can be assumed that she likes him due to preselection where he is known as the island playboy where other women like him so she also likes him. Even though Miyano is radical for leaving the dorm over a stupid response, I do admire her for having so much interest in her grandfather and wanting to learn about his contribution to the development of the island and his participation in Demizugawa industries.
It's worth mentioning Rinna as well as she intrigued me the most. She was willing to join the dormitory but unwilling to associate with the other dorm members as it will be painful to detatch away from them once they leave the dorm. This was interesting as females are naturally quite friendly and really care about their outside perception. They care about how society and other views them, so Rinna allowing herself to be viewed as the hostile unapproachable girl was quite interesting. Also women can be self interested to a level, but the level that Rinna was where she did not care about their welcome party. She wanted to make it explicitly clear that she has no interest in associating with the others , even though there must have been so much effort put in by Umi to prepare all the food. I think it was stupid of her to not associate with the others as inevitably she would interact with them as they share the kitchen and bathroom so she is just making it awkward by not introducing herself to the others. Being frightened of having to detach is not logical as by that logic, there is no point in making relationships as every relationship will end resulting in distress and sadness. Maybe also Rinna is just antisocial and doesn't like interacting with others or eating with others, however she could make it implicit that she isn't interested instead of totally avoiding the others whilst having to live with them.
Overall, I enjoyed learning about the girls and how they interacted with Wataru. I have rated it slightly above average as it's not the most interesting anime as there is no plot, it's literally just learning about each of the girls. However it's not average or below as each of the girls have a unique personality and I like learning about the lives of cute girls.

A persocom is a simp losers dream girl!
The premise of having a persocom be by your side as a replacement partner, as one may not be attractive enough to attain a human partner is incredibly interesting. Especially at a time where ai is constantly advancing and people are capable of interacting with ai through their phone.
In regards to the anime, Chi is incredibly cute and it's fascinating to watch her growth as she learns new words from Hideki and strives to do actions to increase the happiness of Hideki.
There were many occasions where Hideki had insufficient funds to purchase a meal leading
...
to him to starve himself to sleep. There were times where Chi bought ingredients and cooked a meal for him, which is tremendously compassionate of Chi. However, he should not have got Chi a job as she is incredibly vulnerable and can't defend herself. Being abducted twice could have been prevented if Hideki did not get Chi a job or he dropped her off and picked her up every time. I would also be frightened of her manager taking advantage of her, however he was a profoundly fair and considerate guy.
If I was Hideki, I would instruct Chi to go outside in the garden in the presence of the landlady. That's of course if the landlady doesn't mind watching Chi as she recharges in the sunlight. She would definitely enjoy watching Chi as she is the landlady's indirect daughter.
The manager was an empathetic and sympathetic guy when he revealed to Hideki his marriage with a persocom. His story definitely comforted Hideki where if those that abducted Chi potentially wipe off Chi's memory, it's not the end of the world as long as Hideki remembers the memories and time shared with Chi.
Yumi, the coworker of Hideki seemed to genuinely be fond of Hideki. Asking him out on a date and interacting with him whilst at work. It was a surprise how Yumi developed feelings for Chi's manager when she worked at the bakery. Love does blossom over a period of time, where Yumi must have spent a lot of great time observing his kindness and consideration leading to loving feelings for him.
It was even more of a surprise that the manager was willing to reciprocate the love, even though she is a minor and he has had a traumatic past concerning love. It made sense why Yumi is so skeptical of human persocom relationships, where her concern is valid as in many areas , persocoms do excel real females. Yumi was concerned about not being able to meet standards left by the manager's previous wife, however she doesn't understand that he genuinely loves her and should not worry about his past relationships. If she was not suitable or good enough, the manager would not have fallen in love with her, so she needs to understand that he loves her for who she is.
The relationship between Shinbo and the teacher was also a giant shock. I didn't expect the teacher to mope around outside due to her husband being more focused on a persocom and inadvertently locking her out. This lead to her exposing her private life to a student. She instead should have gone to a divorce lawyer instead of revealing trauma to a student.
Both the surprising controversial relationships make the anime more interesting to watch so I appreciate that the anime portrays such unconventional relationships.
The picture book that Chi reads projects a message of 'searching for a partner that is just for me and someone that will love me because I am myself'.
I personally think there are many people that are compatible to a certain person. I don't think there is only one person that a person will be compatible to. Also loving someone for solely them being themselves only is received by females. Females only attain this as a guy will genuinely like a girl for her appearance and personality, however a guy is judged for his utility and usefulness.
I might be the only person that thinks this but when the landlady said 'deletion of all data and termination of your system'. It would have been better for Hideki's future for Chi to be no longer around. After Chi vanishes, he will become totally devastated and cherish the memories he made with her. However, if his state of mind is right, he may potentially convert the negative energy in to motivation and discipline to work on himself to attain a real female. Since Chi remains, Hideki will have no reason to upgrade himself and become a competent male to appeal to a female, as he already has Chi.
Anyway, this anime was incredibly enjoyable to watch. There was a day where I binge watched 10 eps at once because of how great the anime is. Chi also reminds me of my ex, so that may be causing some bias for this anime. She kind of looks and speaks like her!
Overall, I loved how they explored unconventional relationships and explored a world of persocoms.

One aspect that made this anime unique and interesting is the relationship dynamic, in regards to Kirishima and Yoshino having an open relationship. Yoshino condones Kirishima to play around with chicks. She doesn't really care too much about him, and is refrained herself from catching feelings. She has the intention of making him madly in love with her and then will leave him after the year. Kirishima also condones Yoshino to engage in an open relationship, however he must be present on her interactions, dates and sexual intercourse. After that, he intends to kill the guy, making it redundant for Yoshino to even initiate external
...
relationships.
Kirishima seems to genuinely love Yoshino, through his concern for her when she had the flu or how he really desires to be her boyfriend. His meaning of love is different to the typical form of love. Kirishima is emotionally attached to Yoshino, however receives sexual satisfaction from other women. Sexual exclusivity is not a requirement for love in this relationship, however Yoshino must be sexually exclusive to Kirishima.
Yoshino's strategy to refrain falling in love, means that she can't show any loving emotions to Kirishima. In this relationship dynamic, Yoshino does not restrict Kirishima from being a playboy, as displaying emotions of jealousy or possessiveness will indicate to Kirishima that Yoshino may like him.
The last episode of this series disappointed me. Kirishima was displayed as being a beta male, begging for yoshino's attention and persevering to find a solution to yoshino's ignorance towards him. This contrasts his entire personality of being a strong, dominant womaniser that understands how to interact with women. He should have understood that attention is valuable, so he shouldn't be giving it away so freely especially when she is being ignorant. He should have mirrored her and shown no care, as his attention seeking pedestalises and portrays Yoshino as the prize.

From the first few episodes, love❤️love? seems like an idealistic ecchi anime, where the MC somehow constructs a harem of girls where they all simultaneously have a crush on him for no apparent reason.
Unlike most other generic fanservice full harem anime, love❤️ love? displays a darker realistic reason to why the girls constantly seduce and throw themselves at the MC.
When Ooizumi discovers that Yagami and Katsuragi were using their feminine charm to seduce him in to promoting them in to a higher acting role, I was initially surprised as I wasn't expecting the anime to have this dramatic twist. After the feeling of
...
shock faded, I was impressed by the thinking of both Yagami and Katsuragi as they were fully taking advantage of male-female biological dynamics. In regards to how a man will instinctively be allured by beauty, where both Yagami and Katsuragi possess, they effectively utilised their beauty to seduce and provoke Ooizumi.
Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed by how Ooizumi retaliated to this discovery. Ooizumi decided to punish all the girls in the cos-prayers acting team, which is comprehensible as he feels deceived as the girls have been playing with his feelings. However, I felt sympathy for Katsuragi as she was on the cross getting whipped and stripped, physically receiving scars and socially losing her honour. Miku, who is only 11 and only really displayed her panties on a few occasions, was placed at a high height, due to her fear of heights.
Imamura really impressed me and attained my admiration.
First of all for her skill of being able to replicate others voices.
Secondly, she realised that Ooizumi wasn't paying much attention to her, where she thought it was because of her age or lack of breasts. Due to this, she utilised her skill to reveal why Yagami and Katsuragi have been seducing him. Coincidentally, Jougasaki was sexually provoking Ooizumi, where she revealed that the cos-prayers girls are aware that he is the writer of the show. Since Jougasaki revealed this vital detail, I thought Ooizumi may be merciful towards her but instead makes her swim in contaminated water.
I admire Imamura as she realised that her fellow co-workers were suffering due to her actions, where she was willing to fix the situation and face the consequence by consenting away her body. She realised that she had made a fatal mistake and didn't have much to offer, however knew that Ooizumi had sexual desires so thought that this should please him.
Both Yagami and Katsuragi do admit to seducing Ooizumi for a promotion, which I do respect them for. They also do confess their loving feelings for him, where it's ambiguous to whether they are being genuine. They are actors so it's gullible to believe anything they say.
I was in love with a woman that displayed the facade of compassion and kindness; she used her beauty and charm to deceive and manipulate me for an advancement in her career. I was also fooled like Ooizumi and thought she was genuine, however unfortunately didn't have the presence of an Imamura to reveal the deception.
Due to being in a similar position as Ooizumi, I don't commend him for enacting vengeance on the girls. Every successful person I know has done something immoral to get to their honourable position, so I don't blame her for using me. I fully comprehend that she wanted to get ahead in her career and one avenue to attain this was to exploit the psychological instincts of men. Me and Ooizumi were caught up in the psychological debacle, however unlike Ooizumi, I did not punish her as I felt empathetic for her, even though I was a victim. Also I was in love with her, so seeing her in pain due to my torture would not satisfy me. So it does make me think how he is able to punish Yagami if he truly loves her.
Some aspects of the anime I didn't like was how the incident where Yagami and Ooizumi were caught going to a love hotel became known to their higher ups. The retribution was supposed be that Ooizumi would be barred from the set and lose being able to write for the cos-prayers, however after writing another script, they decided to just let him back to his previous role.
Also his crush or love for Yagami is pretty superficial. I understand she's beautiful and he is young so develops a crush fast, however I am fond of anime where the male character falls for a female for at least one reason that is not appearance based.
Overall, I really did enjoy this show, due to the display of characters effectively manipulating male biological instincts to attain a progress in career. I may have a bias for this anime as I was in a similar position as Ooizumi, however not as intense as his where girls were stripping and taking him to love hotels to manipulate him.

I'm not too fond of supernatural romance animes as supernatural elements lead to the story being unrealistic and sometimes difficult to understand. Despite that, this anime had interesting themes such as psychology, time travel and ecchi dialogue.
First of all, this anime is split in to 4 arcs: losing facade, flooding of the Tsutsukakushi house, school looking like Italy and Tsukasa Tsutsukakushi.
The arc that I found the most fascinating is the flooding of the Tsutsukakushi house, due to the feelings of Tsukiko being revealed. Tsukiko desires for Youto to be more physically close to her , unintentionally causing his house to disappear forcing him to
...
temporarily stay at the Tsutsukakushi house. Tsukiko obviously loves the home she resides in , however is willing to flood the bottom floor of her house to keep Youto close to her. She also becomes quite upset when Youto refused to accept the role of being her older brother and would rather meet her occasionally as this keeps the excitement and fun.
In the latter section of the anime, Tsukiko was searching for reasons to continue being acquainted to Youto. She thought that if she had spent the longest time with Youto compared to her other friends, this would be a viable reason to be considered as youto's closest friend. When she witnessed the picture of Youto with Emanuella, she became disappointed and drastically started to find evidence that she truly has been Youto's longest friend. This may display how Tsukiko is so lonely where she thinks she must be deserving of being a friend of youto so desperately thinks of areas where she exceeds in her relationship with Youto relative to his other friends.
The character of Tsukiko is quite mysterious as she is first introduced as a girl who dislikes having her feelings explicitly displayed on her face. Initially this is perceived as quite unusual as a young girl wanting to conceal her emotions is quite concerning. The reason behind this was quite sad, where Tsukiko realised that her sister Tsukushi was distancing herself from Tsukiko, this lead to Tsukiko thinking that her sister dislikes her being so childish and expressive. Since their parents have passed away, Tsukiko has relied on Tsukushi like a child relying on her mother where Tsukiko thought that her sister was avoiding her due to Tsukushi having a dislike to how reliant Tsukiko is on Tsukushi. In reality, Tsukushi was replicating the marriage blues where she says there is a period of lack of interaction until the marriage.
This was a completely absurd reason for abstaining from interacting with her younger sister especially with her plan to study as the university of Massachusetts as same sex marriage is legal there. Tsukushi also as a secondary reason was avoiding Tsukiko to break the sisterly bond between her sister so they can get married , where she fails to comprehend that they are biologically tied by blood so the sisterly bond can not be genetically broken by simply avoiding her.
I enjoy when romance animes have unexpected twists where the reasonings behind Tsukushi's plan and Tsukiko's actions were so irrational and absurd that it amazed me how emotional and illogical some characters can be.
Although the disclosure was hilarious, it does reveal that there are underlying issues of loneliness and affection that both Tsukushi and Tsukiko lack.
Tsukushi was physically with her mother for the 1st 3 years and post the age of 3 until 6, Tsukushi has artificial memories from Youto where she reminisces those memories when thinking about her mother. From onwards of the age of 6, it's not clear when Tsukasa passed away so after her passing they were most likely very lonely and only had each other leading to a lack affection from external people. This displays why Tsukiko desires to be close to her sister and will even delete her facial expressions to retain the bond with her sister. Tsukushi is capable of hiding her internal emotions as she is perceived as a captain that is assertive and strict. Despite that, she is struggling with loneliness and is willing to marry her sister to keep her close forever.
There was also a theme of amnesia where Youto was not able to remember any memories of Tsukasa or Emanuella. Emanuella became quite distressed that Youto had forgotten their promise to hang out after returning from Italy and expresses her anguish by requesting wishes from the cat statue that Youto is fond of. As Youto had forgotten Emanuella and her interactions with him, I thought that they may have only met a few times and the interactions were not significant enough for him remember.
Tsukushi also conveyed how she remembers her mother measuring her where Youto actually used to get his height measured by Tsukasa. If I thought hard enough, I may have deduced that Youto shared his memory with Tsukushi through the cat statue, however it was incredibly interesting when it was revealed that Youto shared his memories of his interactions with Tsukasa to Tsukushi.
I felt sympathetic for Tsukasa as I estimated her age based on Tsukasa becoming pregnant in secondary school and Tsukushi being at the age of 6 during the time travel arc. Tsukasa must be around 22 where she is tremendously young to deal with her husband passing away, losing her kids to her in laws and having terrible health conditions. It is understandable to why Tsukasa drinks regularly and occupied herself by sewing clothes. Prior to the day that her daughter's would be seeing their mother, Tsukasa was aware that she would need to meet her daughters, however instead slept through the meeting time. This may suggest that Tsukasa felt that this event was overwhelming for her as she is aware that her daughter's feel like she has abandoned them and she struggles to confront them and explain her internal emotions.
It was profoundly joyous to witness Tsukushi wish to spend more time with her mother and create memories with her upon seeing that her mother was ill and she spent the entire night sewing clothes for her and her sister. I felt bad for Tsukasa when the previous day, Tsukushi conveyed how she no longer recognises Tsukasa as her mother ; Tsukiko responded to the situation by saying that Tsukasa is a terrible mother for not running after Tsukushi and declining to express the hidden affection that she has for her daughters.
From initially seeing Tsukasa and how she speaks to young Youto, i assumed that Tsukasa was a lot older. However such tragic events must have aged her mentally and mature at a faster rate to others. She may also have a negative outlook on life where she is seen as quite laid back seen from her living without cleaning her house and eating processed low quality food.
Overall, this anime was pleasant to watch. I wouldn't say it is amongst the top tier romance that I have watched due to the supernatural aspect. It can be confusing to understand that the cat stature at the ceder tree will remove a trait that is disliked and gift it to one that needs it compared to the other cat statues that grant any wish that can also be cancelled.
Initially, the premise of a teenager withholding his perverted inner thoughts, however wanting to express such thoughts was interesting. Due to the arc structure, Youto gained back his facade where I personally enjoyed the psychology of the reasoning of how the Tsutsukakushi sisters think and the reason behind their rationale the most.

A lot of viewers of this anime critique how it's quite generic as it has a timid teenage male main character, beautiful female characters and typical romance events.
This anime can be quite mundane to watch as there are 3 female characters that almost instantly develop a crush on Tsubasa. The way Sayuri developed an interest on Tsubasa was quite interesting though, due to the embarrassing coincidence where he walked in her wiping herself leading her to explain the reason.
Despite that, I found it quite interesting when Minami explained to Tsubasa the reason to why she is so fond of him. On the 11th
...
ep after touring the park with pink flowers, Minami says something like:
Tsubasa, I used to be quite lazy in terms of school work but became inspired to work harder after seeing how diligent you are. You also are able to understand my feelings and I can rely on you.
Usually female develop a crush on the alpha male who exudes confidence, and is physically handsome and tall.
I'm fascinated by the reverse psychology in this anime where Minami has fallen for a timid and average male, where most girls avoid dating this archetype. However there are females that enjoy dating such males due to the male being easy to influence, trustworthy, provide unlimited attention and there is a low risk of them cheating as such males have low appeal. These relationships don't usually last too long as the male is a beta where he will offer to say 'yes' to anything the female asks for. Due to this, it can get quite boring for the female due to the lack of excitement and drama.
This is just my interpretation of relationships between characters that have similar characteristics of Tsubasa and Minami. Minami is probably a kind soul that genuinely has developed a crush on Tsubasa due to the memories made and his positive traits. This is an idealistic anime so my interpretation is probably wrong due to it incorporating realism.
Overall, I was seeking a romcom that has beautiful females to watch, and I got exactly as I desired so I'm satisfied. I do wish though that there was more of a reason to why Rena as an upper class man became so fond of Tsubasa. Can't be just because they are neighbours and she happened to she him wearing traditional clothes, right?

As a current student who understands the struggle of attaining a place to attend a high ranked university, it seemed appealing to watch an anime about a student who was striving to attend a prestigious university.
Despite the main character, Keitarou, failing the entrance a few times, i admire how he perseveres to pass and attain a place. What's more noble is that his resilience stems from the fact that he made a promise when he was young to another girl his age that they will meet again at Tokyo U and get together.
Alongside studying for exams, Keitarou becomes a manager of a female
...
dormitory. Since this is a harem anime, one may speculate that keitarou eventually causes all the girls to develop a crush on him. However, keitarou doesn't really have many qualities that appeal to the girls so it's not an anime where the girls are constantly attempting to impress the main character.
The anime does have a plot which consists of Keitarou managing the dormitory and studying for the entrance exams while interacting with the female residents and learning more about them. However, the story does not progress so much as the majority of the episodes are comedy. A few of the episodes do continue from the previous one, however most episodes are non-progressive comedy.
Also this anime is tagged as an ecchi anime where there are certainly scenes when the girls are in the hot springs. However compared to the average ecchi anime, this anime doesn't show as much cleavage or lude content.
I would recommend love Hina to anyone who wants to watch a casual romcom. The majority of episodes are non-progressive so one does not need to worry about suspense or cliff hangers.
For those seeking a dramatic romance, I would highly suggest watching a different anime. Personally, I prefer drama romance animes so the premise of love Hina was appealing however the non-progressive structure did decrease the enjoyment of the show.
SPOILERS:
[spoiler]
The repetitive physical harassment on keitarou from Naru becomes tedious to watch especially due to it occurring from misunderstandings. It seems like Naru is a sadist as she is violent towards keitarou whenever she has the opportunity; majority of those opportunities are based on assumptions of perversion.
Keitarou would have been much more of a likeable character if he displayed courage and confronted Naru about the harassment, however he continues to tolerate it. Keitarou is presented as quite feeble, probably lacks testosterone, as he has no resentment towards Naru and does not display any form of fury towards her. Instead he develops a crush on her due to the superficial rudimentary reason which is that she is physically beautiful.
Although he is superficial, keitarou understands that the feelings he has for her are not mutual so does not explicitly express them or portray them through his actions. He even conveyed to Seta's daughter that Naru will never perceive him as a romantic partner, this was when she saw the photo booth image of both of them. This is interesting, as keitarou has the intellect to know that being a simp will yield no benefit, where he continues to have a crush on her, however does not attempt to impress her. He does say in the latter episodes that he would love to go to Tokyo U with Naru , however does not engage in typical simp activities such as constantly complimenting or gifting which i admire.
Keitarou is stupid though for not considering to date mutsumi and staying tenaciously in a crush with Naru. Even though mutsumi and keitarou hit it off when they initially met and mutsumi has expressed her love to him explicitly, he continues to keep her hanging.
The last few episodes were the most enjoyable to watch due to the drama. This drama was initiated by Mei due to her having an urgency to send Naru home. The scene where Naru kisses keitarou after witnessing them on the floor nude is surprising, as it's so sudden. Also there is not much reasoning behind the kiss as Naru has shown no signs of liking towards keitarou throughout the entire show. A girl will not be violent or risk sending the one she loves to hospital if she were to truly love or have a crush on them. Despite that, a few episodes preceding the kiss, keitarou and mutsumi were on a date where Naru was observing them like a hawk. This aligns with female behaviour as when a male is surrounded or liked by pretty females, he instantly becomes more attractive.
Or perhaps the kiss was more of a farewell sign as the photograph found by Mei will potentially lead to keitarou and mutsumi establishing a romantic relationship.
Overall, I rate this anime slightly higher than average. The lack of progression is unfortunate ; I would have scored it lower if it was not for the last few episodes where Mei initiated some interesting drama. The backstory of Naru and kaolla are also interesting so I appreciate that.
