I only read this for Mahiru, and dare I say this is far better executed than it's parent story probably cause Kagami actually planned this out. It's really sad what happened to Seraph of the End, so much fucking potential but fell of in recent years cause the author has lost control of the plot and can't write female characters at all .
The story is average, nothing out of the blue: 5/10
The illustrator is not the same as the main manga or light novel but it this improve as the story progresses: 7/10
Apart from Mahiru all the other characters are really shallow, though I'd like

Since this reminds me of SAO...
All girls within a 100m radius of the male protagonist fall for him. The female lead reminds me of Asuna. The male lead uses overpowered dual-wielding just like Kirito. And a lot more SAO crap. The story of our last crusade takes place in a fantasy universe where two factions, namely, the empire ( consisting of humans ) and the witches are at war. Why? Because the show needed an intrigue.
