I don't think "Quiet Please" reinvents anything about the BL genre. It's cute, it's sweet, and most importantly, it's short.
Definitely recommend to anyone who's a fan of BL or a fan of qmeng, but maybe not a watch for anyone who's first ever BL is quiet please.
The art style is quite pleasant and the character designs are cute and simple. The music was my personal stand out of this anime, as the ending and opening are quite catchy and fans of qmeng's work are definitely familiar with the artist ;)

genuinely kinda just torture porn for those adults who never really got over their middle school bully.
This really feels like a prime example of "barely disguised torture kink" because plot moves at a snails pace unless we are torturing a child. Not really psychological horror more just "one dimensional villains being literally the spawn of satan. The main bully who's name I completely forgot is literally so comically evil that he somehow brainwashed his high government office mother and father into being his slaves to do his bidding. Also the MC is so comically overpowered like how is this housewife pulling off these elaborate murders ... Jan 2, 2026

This anime reeks of "written by a man syndrome". I really tried to get into it since people online are raving about it, but it's another yuri slop love hexagon turned weird polycule where every character has 3 braincells. This is genuinely like if a mid tier harem anime had the MC turn into a girl. Honestly the most disappointing aspect about this series is the fact that if you turned the MC into a man, the only thing that would change is maybe the ... Jul 17, 2024

Honestly, this is one of the best BL/Yaoi manga that i've ever read, which I personally think is saying a lot!
I think if you're looking for a manga that analyzes the tough complexities of parental death, adoption, and guilt over said parent death, this is NOT the manhua for you. The charm of this series comes from it's simplicity. However, what it does extremely well is honestly character building. The two leads are both very likable, and some comedy moments hit very well and got a chuckle out of me. There was definitely a lot more potential, but the 30 chapters was very short ... |
