"Lost in Starlight"'s story concept is the same as "Weathering With You", told in a more mature way. Lost in Starlight is less supernatural, traded for more speculative sci-fi of the type you'll see in "Interstellar". Lost in Starlight and Weathering With You share a similar art style and rain imagery.

Kondo (After the Rain) and Majime (the Great Passage)'s passions are both in the field of literature, though in different specialties. From their POV, romance is also oblique relation to that passion as they navigate the situation of a high schooler in love with him (Kondo) or his marriage (Majime).

Hibike! Euphonium 3
add

"Haikyu" is like a very detailed version of "Sound Euphonium" S3. There is an untold story of how the captain Sawamura Daichi helped develop a flightless Karasuno High School volleyball team to a national contender in his final year of high school. Sound Euphonium explores Kumiko's entire school journey as a member of the concert band to her life as their captain. Or maybe, "Sound Euphonium" S3 is like a condensed version of the entirety of "Haikyu", including the yet-unadapted parts. One can analogize Mayu with either Kageyama or Hinata, the genius newcomers who are the crucial pieces of a powerhouse team. Mayu's story isn't told much in Sound Euphonium, but Kageyama and Hinata's is a central plot of Haikyu.

The setup is very similar. Our main character(s) moved to a new place due to circumstances outside of their control and much of the story details how they adjust to their new life. Tomoko and Handa think similarly of their position in the school life; they think they're unpopular and hated, along with all the social anxiety that come with it. The main difference is that unlike Tomoko, Handa is actually popular. To sum it up, you can retitle Handa-kun as "No Matter How I Look At It, It's *My* Fault I'm Not Popular!" Additionally, both have banger OPs.

Bocchi the Rock!
add

Great animation quality. "Slow Start" has very fluid animation. "Bocchi the Rock" experimented with a lot of styles that worked well with the humor. They're made by the same studio (Slow Start's studio is credited in-show as A-1, but it's the team that would later form CloverWorks) and they share the same producer. You will notice some animation quirks in Slow Start evolve in Bocchi the Rock. Both are adapted from a 4-koma source material, where a shy and introverted main character have a chance encounter with three friends that would bond together. The resulting character dynamics are great in both!
