As a fan of the TBATE manhwa, I was genuinely excited to see Arthur Leywin’s story brought to life in animation. Unfortunately, this adaptation fails on nearly every level, turning what should have been a compelling fantasy into a poorly executed mess.
The animation is stiff, lifeless, and often looks like a slideshow of traced panels rather than a fluid, dynamic production. Key moments from the manhwa—ones that should have been breathtaking—are either butchered by awkward cuts or replaced with bafflingly inferior original scenes.
