Dekin no Mogura is a strange anime. The synopsis, the plot at first glance, is appealing; from the moment I first read it, I was looking forward to its release. However, when I watched the first episode, I was disappointed. It didn't feel like what I expected based on the synopsis. Nevertheless, I don't like to abandon anime series halfway through, so I gave it a chance and watched the entire series. Now, having finished it, I have mixed feelings about this series.

yes, it made me smile at some points, but that's about it. It's entertaining to watch, but it's not an anime that makes me laugh constantly. I'm not a big fan of current or recent anime; I prefer older anime, from the 90s and 2000s. Modern anime sometimes seem a bit silly to me because of their somewhat absurd and strange humor. I got that impression with this anime as well; it could be a bit silly at times.
The characters are okay; I'd say the most memorable ones are Mogura and Toshiro Nekozuku, Yaeko and Magi's literature teacher, but the other characters seem more absurd, some even quite flat, stuck in a single, specific role throughout the entire series without any further development. I also think they could have made better use of some of the other characters who appeared only briefly. In short, some characters are well done, but most are flat or too absurd, without any development that would make them memorable. Speaking of the art style and character designs... I'm not a big fan. The best designs are those of Mogura, Toshiro, and perhaps Kyoshiro Nekozuku, but the other designs aren't very appealing; they even seem a bit strange, especially the shape of the heads. However, the color palette of the entire series and the art style (excluding the characters) are very good; it's not very common and stands out.
It's ironic, while I was watching it, I used to tell my friends, "The best part of an episode of Dekin no Mogura is when it ends," because I really liked the ending theme. The opening theme is good too, but the ending theme captivated me in a different way; it has a strange and captivating atmosphere, an ambiguity that suits this anime perfectly. However, even though I didn't enjoy the anime that much, there I was, waiting all week to watch the next episode. It's an easy-to-watch anime that quickly becomes part of your routine.
Would I recommend it? It depends. If you're someone who prefers more comedic, slice-of-life, and introspective and profound anime, I would recommend it. The main plot is interesting, and Mogura's character is unforgettable; he's intriguing throughout the entire series, maintaining the mystery and keeping the viewer's attention. However, the humor factor depends a lot on the individual; it might make you laugh, or it might not. I highly recommend this anime for when you don't want to think too much or watch something with too much action, a relaxing anime that's easy to watch and fits easily into your routine. If you prefer anime with more action (like shonen), I wouldn't recommend it, but if you like seinen anime and don't want something that's too slow-paced, this anime is a good option for you.
In short, Dekin no Mogura is a peculiar anime; it didn't completely capture me, but I wouldn't dismiss it either. It's one of those shows that, if it resonates with your tastes, stays with you longer than you expect, and, even if you say it's not that great, it keeps you glued to the screen, waiting for the next episode.

Dekin no Mogura es un anime extraño. La sinopsis, la trama a primera vista, es atractiva, desde que la leí por primera vez me tuvo pendiente a que saliera, pero, cuando vi el primer episodio me llevé una decepción. No sentí que fuera lo que yo esperé al leer la sinopsis. Sin embargo, no me gusta abandonar los animes por el camino, así que le di la oportunidad y lo vi completo. Ahora, al terminarlo, tengo sentimientos encontrados con esta serie.
Me gustó, es disfrutable, pero no es una obra maestra ni algo excepcional. El humor de esta serie no va mucho conmigo, sí, en algunos momentos me ha sacado algunas sonrisas, pero no más que eso, es entretenido de ver, pero no es un anime en el que no pare de reír mientras lo miro. No soy muy fan de los animes actuales o recientes, prefiero los animes más viejos, como de los 90s y los 2000s, los animes actuales a veces me parecen un poco tontos debido al humor un poco absurdo y raro que tienen. Me dio esa impresión con este anime también, podía llegar a ser un poco tonto.
Los personajes están bien, los más rescatables diría que son Mogura y Toshiro Nekozuku, el profesor de literatura de Yaeko y Magi, pero los otros personajes creo que son más absurdos, llegando a ser algunos bastante planos, encasillados en un solo rol en específico que cumplir en toda la serie y no desarrollándolos más. También creo que se pudieron aprovechar más otros personajes que se utilizaron poco. En resumen, algunos están bien logrados, pero la mayoría quedan planos o demasiado absurdos, sin un desarrollo que los haga memorables. Hablando del estilo de dibujo y los diseños de los personajes... No soy muy fan, los mejores diseños son los de Mogura, Toshiro y quizá también Kyoshiro Nekozuku, pero los demás diseños no son tan atractivos, incluso parecen un poco raros, en especial la forma de las cabezas. Pero, la paleta de colores de toda la serie y el estilo de dibujo (sacando los personajes) está muy bien, no es muy común y llama la atención.
Es irónico, mientras lo miraba solía decirle a mis amigos "lo mejor de un capítulo de Dekin no Mogura es cuando termina", ya que me gusta mucho el ending. El opening está muy bien también, pero el ending me cautivó de otra forma, tiene un atmósfera extraña y atrapante, ambigua, le queda muy bien a este anime. Sin embargo, aunque no disfrutara mucho del anime, ahí estaba yo, esperando toda la semana para ver el próximo episodio. Es un anime fácil de ver que se adhiere a tu rutina rápidamente.
¿La recomiendo? Depende. Si sos una persona que prefiere ver animes más de comedia, estilo slice of life, y más introspectivos y profundos, lo recomiendo. El plot principal es interesante, el personaje de Mogura no es fácil de olvidar, es intrigante durante toda la serie, manteniendo el misterio y la atención del espectador. Sin embargo, el factor humorístico depende mucho de la persona, puede ser que te haga reír, como que no. Recomiendo mucho este anime para cuando no querés pensar demasiado ni ver algo con demasiada acción, un anime tranquilo que se ve de forma rápida, y que se puede incorporar a tu rutina fácilmente. Si preferís animes con más acción (al estilo shonen) no lo recomendaría mucho, pero si te gustan los seinens, y no querés ver algo que vaya demasiado lento, este anime es una buena opción para vos.
En definitiva, Dekin no Mogura es un anime raro; no me atrapó del todo, pero tampoco lo dejaría pasar desapercibido. Es de esos que, si encaja con tu humor, se te queda en la cabeza más de lo que pensás, y, aunque digas que no está tan bueno, te tiene al lado de la pantalla, esperando por el próximo episodio.
