Neon Genesis Evangelion what can you say.
Ordinary with a complete loss of flow and plot in the last 3 episodes.
I have never seen an Anime go off course so wildly before. Not since the TV series LOST has a Televised program of any kind ended so idiotically. Everything is moving along at a reasonable pace the story is making sense and then WHAM ! It loses it's mind.
Everything important is left hanging and open.
Who is Rei really and what makes the bond between her and Gendo so strong, I have my opinions but we'll never know due to the ridiculous way the series ends. It's ... like the writer was nearing the end of the story and gave up !
The animation is Ok for it's day, 1995 I think. The sound is so so.
With a proper ending this might have gotten a 6 or 7 but a 3 is the best I can give it.

Unsophisticated child like story. I suspect the kiddies might enjoy it, so long as they are pre-pubescent.
Predictable in the worst ways. VERY annoying and unbelievable main character. Not for adults.
Animation style is OK, backgrounds are quite good and the sound FX are acceptable.
Overall production quality is good.
Character animation/design/appearance is dated but not horrible, can't work out the weird lines in the shadows under the chin and around the neck though.
An example of more modern style would be "Ladies Vs Butlers" IMHO.
There are many better stories out there. DanMachi, RE Starting Life in another world from Zero, Tower of God. Not suggesting these are great, just ... better stories.
Opening credit song/animation is good unlike "Tower of God" which has a better storey but a very bad Opening Credit sequence/song.

Visually it's OK.
Storey is for kids, young kids.
