This is a hard series to review. Never has their been a show soo good and soo bad. My feelings for it changed throughout bouncing from total enjoyment to tiring. Its hard to give a thorough review of the plot without spoilers so I'll brush over it quickly. This is a story of revenge and retribution. A story of adventure and mystery set place in a magical world. It takes place in the distant future where deep space travel is commonplace. You dont quite know whats going on and this is further enhanced with the art.

Art ... is a 10/10. A very unique style seen nowhere else that harmonizes so well with the plot, setting, and mystery that unfolds. Its a riot and takes you along for the ride that is Gankutsuou. Because of this, it gets a pass for alot of things that dont add up. One minute your in a town only to find out your on the moon. But it doesnt work like it should, and thats alright. Or you enter a building and take the elevator down to find yourself on a boat in the ocean. This series most certainly takes you on an adventure.

Sound is also a 10/10. Many times a series will end and i have to think back on whether the audio was any good. If it wasnt memorable then it simply wasnt. The music should pull you in, set the mood and tone, bring about feelings in you, and in Gankutsuou it does exactly that. The OP/ED could be better, i actually think they should have been switched but thats alright.

Character is 7/10. This is where the series loses some points for me. The MC is your typical weak whiner baby male who screams and cries the whole series. I dont get why this is such a popular trope in anime, i find them to be the most annoying. Aside from this though, there are some very interesting characters. The count of monte cristo being the most intriguing. You dont know who he is, or why he is that way. He comes across as a space traveling count dracula. Haydee is also a very appealing character and probably one of the most beautifully drawn. Theres also a handful of very tropey scumbags but it all fits well. And then theres a plethora of characters that are just meh. I found the MCs gang of friends to be rather uninteresting and bland. But with that said, there were many colorful fun characters. Gurren Lagann fun.

Story gets an 8/10. Its a mystery type that unfolds well. You get answers to your questions but in all honesty this might be the first 24 episode series i wish was 12. They really could have ended this around episode 18 and cut all the whining and crying from our MC to the 12. I dont want to give spoilers but theres a robot battle that was just too much. Like i said, alot of the weird shit going on gets a pass for the unique style of this series but the robot battle was over the top. It made a mockery of the whole series imo.

All in all a very fun ride. A series that gets serious but you cant take too seriously. MC is its biggest downfall but too many things done great to be too bothered with it.

This series is great! A solid 9 for what it is. I put this on for nighttime fodder and smashed it in one go. We all hop in that costume and go along for an amazing fan service ride. If thats not what you feel like watching, then dont. These salty bad reviews are hilarious. People complaining about another pathetic MC clearly didnt give this series a chance. Its called character progression. And thats the point, theres a lost memory mystery going on here.

I hope studio's are taking notes, because this is how ... you do fan service. Very few series that are ecchi driven are actually done so well and deliver an interesting story, with good action, decent character development, and leave you wanting to watch the next episode to actually see what happens next. And the fan service itself is done so damn well.

Gleipner is a supernatural mystery with a splash of horror. People turn into monsters, climb in eachother, theres alot of flesh, its great. Theres no point giving spoilers just enjoy the ride. You never quite know what is going on or why things are happening. As pieces of the puzzle start coming together, they end up leaving more questions along the way. I knew when i started the last episode it wasnt going to end with enough answered. Its too bad there wasnt enough source material to work off of but im loving what we have so far. The production and audio are done really well and theres a good amount of character development. As the characters learn more about themselves and grow thru this experience they all become more likeable and relatable. Usually you get generic tropey trash with terribly delivered fan service but this here is top notch.

So if your here already you should already know who Boruto is, any spoilers i say. Everything mentioned happens in the first 5 minutes anyways.

So Boruto has to be the biggest disappointment ive ever come across. And im a huge psycho-pass fan. So let me get this straight. So for over a decade, 600 episodes with god knows how many flashbacks, of Naruto having this childhood of loneliness and no one paying attention to him and not having parents or friends, acting out to get attention. This TORTURED childhood of PAIN which allows him to reach anyones heart, and hes a shit ... father? Thats how this total hypocrisy of whats been shoved down our throats starts off? Naurtos becomes an asshole who neglects his kids to the point they hate him? He puts his own family thru the exact same thing that fucked him up sooooo bad as a kid? That goes against everything Naruto is and has stood for these past 13 years. And apparently he needs anti-depressants.

So with that out of the way whats next? Art? Exactly what youve seen already. Music? Exactly the same. Characters? Sure its nice to see what becomes of everyone but its just Blah. So i guess Hinata is what? She pretty much did nothing the whole movie but call out to some people. This movie for real just brings down the whole series.

So i guess theres a few action sequences. Naruto doesnt use ninjutsu so dont expect to be impressed by anything Naruto does the whole movie apparently. Sasuke being the only saving grace.

So to wrap it all up i wish i could say just skip this garbage, it truly puts a bad taste in your mouth, but we know that isnt gonna happen cause we are huge fans and have to see whats out there. If you walk in already disappointed maybe it stings less.
