Smother me is not flawless. The story is a little weak and rushed, the author thinks detroit is a dystopia where u can't have shit, the pacing is a little odd (probably could have been 5 chapters longer). But I don't think anyone could make a better neo-noir manga about a child assassin wanting love. The plot and setting serves only as a background for the characters to interact with, but whooo are their interactions good. Everything is meaningful and tied up. Each panel OOOZES style and every panel contributes to a whole vision, so cinematic. You can feel the heaviness come off the page,
