"The best anime series ever made to this date!"

That's a nice way to wrap up this anime I guess. Even if some don't agree with the "best" title, the most "complete anime" may be would suit this anime more!
FMAB has covered all the aspects of an anime. It has that typical shounen flavor, it has great humor, animation and action scenes are excellent. But what sets it apart from other animes is the superb storytelling, excellent pacing and great character development! It has got that darkness, sad events, struggle, loss that gives the characters depth. Even someone as cheerful as Alphonse goes through mental issues!! ... But that does not make the anime gloomy or sad. The pacing and progression of the anime is such that all of it comes naturally. And other times are filled with humor, happy memories, family, friendship and love. And the plot of the anime itself is complex enough to intrigue anyone and makes it enjoyable to watch, but not too complex that may be hard to understand. This is like the perfect example of how a story should be written and told, how characters should be written, that has enough depth but are also easy to understand by audience of any level!!
All in all, a MUST watch for any anime fans and even non-anime watchers!!!

"Lelouch of the Titans!!"

Except he didnt't want to be like Lelouch. Fate decided it. It was all predetermined. Everything is predetermined and everyone is just a slave to fate. That is a depressing and sad sad ending to an otherwise good series!!
Artwork is the only highlight of this ending! The story follows the path of the manga that I personally and many others also disliked. Even though they gave an explanation, still Ymir's actions does not make sense at all. Guess a bit of love can kill millions of people and it's all understandable and we have to sympathize with her so-called 'suffering'! The worst ... part is, as the watchers will eventually find out, this is just a script within a script. All the characters are acting according to someone's plan and that someone just left everything to fate and the future he saw. No one had a choice, and had to make decisions that led to that specific ending. What's even the point of living if you don't have a role in changing/making your own fate? That's why this ending doesn't sit right with many, as this just means the characters never had a choice anyway. They just had to play out their tiny role, kill a lot of people, to reach the endpoint of a predetermined future!
The action sequences are definitely of high-quality, but the story and concept ultimately failed the series.

To put it simply, this is the best horror anime, and one of the best of the psychological horror genre! First I have to say this is definitely not for children and should be seen by people with a certain level of maturity.

The overall series may seem boring at times, but the whole series will definitely leave an impact on you. The story, the character developments are the strongest points of the series. If Lelouch, L etc are the best protagonists of all time, Johan Leibert has to be ranked as the no. 1 antagonist of all time. A journey full of twists and ... turns as a good doctor tries to fight of pure evil amongst this impure society!

Highly recommended for anyone who has yet to watch this!
