Violet Evergarden is a difficult show to review. It is erratic but beautiful, at times frustrating and at others enthralling. For the most part it is a show about loss, so if that does not appeal to you, you'd best stay away. To some part it is about persevering through loss, finding a way to move on, but for another part it is simply a study of human sadness. To this end, I feel it gives a pretty good treatment to the topic.

Marvelous Epic Fantasy, but Heed this Advice
The Twelve Kingdoms features many of the trappings of epic fantasy: a complex fantastic realm with plenty of back-story, powerful monsters, and spectacular sword duels.
