Fair 4. Kinda enjoyable before the not that short fall from grace. The usual adults act adult in an office setting for a bit until it is time for drama and we are back to first year high school just a bit more egregious.
The work does pick up "adult themes" like toxicity(mostly her), uncomfortable necessary talks, catching yourself emotionally cheating and, related to that, work spouses and how to deal with them.. just really poorly. The female lead is ruined in the process and the outcome is mostly unsatisfactory.
The major problem is, the series has a strong start with quickly established but still quite enjoyable
...
and multi-layered characters. They all act mature and adequate to the setting. The leads are able to communicate properly even if they are quite childish, inexperienced, awkward and shy but none of the cringe school stuff is there.. at first.
It kind of is like a spit in your face and kick in the balls. She completely sucks randomly. Terrible cheater person overall suddenly. No writing. Completely out of character. And all of the aforementioned praise? Nowhere to be found. It is THE annoying high school drama prototype. It is BAD bad. Incredibly poor display of writing skills.
A silent but massive shadow that looms over you and you can't do anything but endure simply due to the fact that there is no substance. The female lead just does that questionable stuff for the sake of it.
Surely just a small hiccup.. right? Nope. All the way through. 10 out of 30 chapters. Suddenly secrecy, deflecting, gaslighting and nuh-uh are king and the main pair's whole dynamic and her whole character. It is unbearably uncomfortable and infuriating at some points. Almost vile and just totally unfair towards the male lead. Simply not what the manga had been prior to the drama.
There is a kind of conclusion on the horizon but it plain sucks. The circumstances are trashy. Everything only exists and stands on a tiny leg called out of character forced and takes away infinitely more than can ever be gained or gotten back.
At this point the manga is not at all enjoyable anymore and the questions stack- who are these characters? wtf are they(she) doing? honestly, why should I care?
Can't recommend. 1/3 of the manga is exceptionally bad.

I gave this manga dozens of chances over multiple years and now that it finished I feel the time is right. After dropping and picking it up over and over simply due to being too annoying (cheating just isn't for me, I guess) after a while, I bumped my rating from a 3/10 to a 4/10, a very fair and objective rating.
The start is weird and wacky but you quickly get into it. The usual shallow series driven by characters and their interactions + events. There are some layers that could've been used to open the path to some more complexity and the shoujo bits
...
are enjoyable at first.
The initial cast is great and the shtick (her being into pretty faces) is fun.. again, at first. This is THE textbook example of overstaying your welcome.
The shtick is not only namesake but also ruin and downfall of this manga.
It gets bad. The series pretty much devolves into a (borderline-)cheating-fest that is fully acknowledged by everyone around the FMC but never -truly- confronted by anyone. It goes from endearing and funny to okay, bit weird, haha to just plain sad and disrespectful.
No, the aforementioned complexity is nowhere to be found, even with this being the perfect opportunity. This ends up taking away any chance at original and organic content.
Her having closer and deeper emotional bonds with a guy other than with her boyfriend or her reacting way stronger to other guys' looks than to her supposed number 1 boyfriend also are facts that are never -truly- confronted by anyone.
All that and pretty much any other conflict are somewhat glazed over and swept under a giant and stinky rug and finished with some gaslighting and pretending away on top. But that is okay. Senpai likes giving in to the gaslighting and guilt tripping and fixes everything. Every. Single. Time.
Instead of using her actual issues that she needs actual help with, and they absolutely are issues, to at the very least force some development and growth and at the same time involve everyone around her (all characters are aware of her troubled mind), we on repeat go through the same cycle: she acknowledges, deflects, ignores, gaslights, moves on and, once again, does the same.
Also, NO, I do NOT consider her flirting with other hot guys for only a little bit and pushing a hottie away after cuddling for only a little bit character development or growth or whatever one might want to call this. Call me crazy and stuck up. Idc.
It pretty much is all the worst of shoujo and the reverse harem genre without it actually being a reverse harem (debatable with how she behaves). It does end up overpowering almost all sweet cute wholesome spicy hot moments and only the incredibly infuriating way too far disrespectful uncomfortable moments with none of the good old shoujo angst and payoff stay in your memory.
But there is some progress. The tiny final stretch is somewhat okay. Is it satisfying or enjoyable or good? Nah. But it is there. And I want this to be an entirely fair rating. This is the +1 bump I mentioned in the beginning.
There really is nothing else positive to mention. Every single cast member that is added is there for one sole reason and they keep acting on that and have that be the sole reason for their involvement. I pretty much hate, no, loathe all of them for how annoyingly flat they are and how much they take away from showcasing the one biggest strength of this manga- the main pair's dynamic and interactions. Criminally low screen time here.
Senpai is left to dry and, no meme here, gives in to his position in the cuck chair, she is THAT bad with no repercussion or development.
I give up. Writing this made me realize that a 4 is indeed generous and that I rated it higher due to the enjoyable beginnings and me reading this for 5 years. But whatever. Not recommended. Later chapters just suck. The FMC sucks.

Manga is good overall, gonna skip the obvious stuff that has been stated a million times over. There are some major issues, most simply due to questionable decision making by the author. I would go as far as to call some of them amateurish and straight detriments to the overall enjoyment while adding absolutely nothing narratively. I will focus on the IMO most important one.
First off, the big glaring one that affects all others. Tatsu keeps splitting the crew. "Okay, everyone! Let's get it! Momo, you go with x and x. Okarun, you go with the others!". And repeat at the start of next arc.
...
And repeat at the start of the arc after the next one. I kid you not, take off your rose tinted glasses and it becomes evident.
"Oh, that's it?". Well, no. This is where the next problem connects. There is no actual strong story. It pretty much is the Detective Conan formula, one looming evil and the crew being involved in episodic encounters with smaller fry or new major characters or what have you. These characters are the lifeline. They are everything. And they actually are pretty damn good in this manga and their interactions do all the heavy lifting- if they're allowed to past the beginning chapters.
The permanent state of splitting up the best dynamics to, sometimes forcefully and just unenjoyably poorly, form unnecessary new ones gimps the enjoyment. I would go as far as to say that two of the major arcs suck and could've been infinitely better and both of them share the exact same formula- splitting up the crew.
Okarun gets his small moment. Momo heavily bonds with a new char and does le epic quest. And Okarun saves the day superman style. And rinse repeat. Bummer.
Yes, the author is allowed to explore fresh and unconventional elements regarding relationships. A rare realistic representation or "long distance" and spending time apart, an organic developing relationship that doesn't need labels, strictly platonic but ambiguous relationships etc. Momo and Okarun are a gold mine.. for as long as they're not split up.. which ends up being 75% of the manga.
Add to that the fact that some of the other characters just don't hit, even with their 4th super dramatic tragic sob-backstory and you have a recipe for mid. Mediocre. That sadly is the feeling welling up when the same thing happens over and over because someone decided to go "nah, you guys don't interact for another 10 chapters. Reason? No reason. Here, another "deep" moment nobody asked for". And that happens multiple times up to the most recent chapter 208.
Calling the manga or even just said arcs ruined or straight bad would be a lie. But I firmly stand by my rating simply due to the fact that the most important and, up to a certain point, successful aspect of the manga (characters, interactions and dynamics) got dropped and recycled for others of exceedingly poor quality and for repeated disney superman le deep thinker moments just doesn't sit right with me.
No, she didn't need to do some of the weird things with the other guys that she got herself into even if the implications were le deep. No, Okarun could've done more than another micro trainingcamp for the arc or once again be a side character for 15 chapters.
Lame. But still miles better than Kanokari right now, kek.

tl;dr: Read this if you want a series with no identity and no respect for established characters and invested readers. This manga and author try a lot but nothing even remotely good enough. This is low effort throwing shit and praying some of it sticks.
This is one of many covid manga. Mask. Virus that changed earth forever. Seeing someone's face in person? Blasphemy. Criminal.
This one had a following behind it before ultimately falling into obscurity. The bit with the virus was properly used to establish an interesting setting with many ways to expand and tell a story. Even when dropping the covid bit, it was
...
a rather good series.
Until the whole fad began to disappear from the public. Covid stuff IRL quietly went away (even if it still exists, clearly). The manga was dropped by the ex-publisher (I do not know the reason) and the series lost steam.
And here began the most bizarre and obvious Identity Crisis I've ever witnessed a manga go through.
I do not know if it was dwindling numbers or a fright that made the author choose to progress this series the way they did but they went away from COVID! and made it about ~more than that~ and ~different than the other stories~. Politics. Intrigue. A love triangle and drama. A massive shift in tone and some very fantastic elements that went even further beyond unrealistic than the initial setup.
But it just didn't work. The kids doing what they did fell flat. There was some interesting and relatable stuff happening but the message could only come across if you're someone believing in one of the extremes.
It wasn't BAD yet but rating this anything above 7 would be a lie. There factually and evidently was a lot of fuckery going on already.
And BAM! another kick in your face and whiplash. Another massive genre shift, everything is dropped and we are shoujo. Full on. Inconsistent characters to enable drama. Out of character (mostly the female main character Natsuki) asspull to push some of the worst known to mankind tropes and agonizing (and cringe..) interactions that couldn't exist without someone (mostly FMC) acting like a stupid brat high schooler kid!!!.. that she just isn't.
Too much was established. You can't have her be a super smart and strong beast that gets thrown into multiple traumatizing situations and show growth and develop her relationships to just pretend it all away in one single chapter and turn her into the most stupid underdeveloped tonedeaf zero love experience child possibly ever. Absolutely zero writing to go with it.
And all to enable a new annoying side char that sucks major fat d. Freakishly over the top, fully acting as and for the tool, by the tool and dying to be a tool- enabled only by another character being out of character.
2025 moment. Authors LOVE putting oshi characters into their stories at the cost of everything around. And it pretty much ruins whole series every. single. time.
But they also enable the aforementioned dogshit tropes and the opportunity to fit another genre! That must mean they are good!
You would most probably want to dent their skull in if you met them IRL and call the police on them, haha! But the FMC was changed in one panel of writng and it is non-negotiably absolutely necessary to the plot that she allows them around!!
The kinda interesting intrigue? The pLoT? The side chars that don't act only as cringe annoying tools? Not back yet. Been a while.
But we got a not annoying or cringe breakdancing, obnoxiously loud music in public playing criminal thief sexual harasser playboy flirt! Soooo good yummy, author! Hope enjoy your new toy at the cost of literally everything good.

At first appalled, I now enjoy this manga after its vision was revealed. A generic setting and characters played out in a truly fresh and intriguing way. This is Shoujo done right!
He is a player that can only love multiple people. She is the epitome of pure, wanting to devote herself wholly to her one true love. But as people in love do, they start copying their target. They pass by each other while splendid character development takes place- and we end up with him seeking true love while she learns the appeal in loving and dating multiple people at once.
That is the overall
...
gist of it.
Not my cup of tea usually and a pain in the ass for authors to do right, this one just works. The events are fun. Well, they're the usual and predictable pretty much every time but there is nuance in every meeting and her interacting with ML. Developments are fun. Even the angst and drama are rather enjoyable.
But all that isn't just because the manga is lame, formulaic and stays in its lane when it should, no, it goes all out and pushes boundaries when necessary. That makes even harsh character developments enjoyable while still making sense (even if infuriating at moments).
There isn't much to this series but it absolutely stands above a lot of others trying to do the same.

Yes. A 1/10 rating with 93 chapters read. Unironically. Thought I'd take one for the team and what can I say, I dropped this as of chapter 93. I lost. I am weak. Disclaimer: I do not mindlessly hate on this genre and type of content. I have read similar works and wasn't nearly as appalled, mostly due to the abysmally low effort and quality.
"That's it?"- the manga. She is, just like all other women in the series, a promiscuous sexdoll the viewer is waiting for to fall. And god fucking damn it did this end up a flaccid and unsatisfactory experience solely due to
...
the "climax".
I hate myself for it but I was actually interested and invested so I wanted to see how the female lead would fall and it is embarrassingly dogshit writing. The author absolutely is lacking skill, that much was evident before, it is the low effort content recycler empress Katsura Airi but this is just sad-
Really, author? Really? NTR mindbreak the female lead inflicted on herself, conveniently no communication and some random out of character headcanon by the female lead into FREAKING HYPNO MINDBREAK SPIRAL EYES? XD Low. Lame. Weak.
No, I am not kidding. It took a whole FOUR PANELS for her to talk herself into being okay with dry humping, then kissing and then initiating sex WILLINGLY by herself. After 93 chapters and everything. FOUR PANELS. WITH MINDBREAK SPIRAL HYPNO EYES while she somehow is fully in control mentally and physically, okay with everything happening.
Author, this sucks. Do not cook again. People are okay with one-hit-wonders. Heck, get your editor to kick your ass and improve before branching out again. What a waste.
Nothing less than a betrayal of readers. No writing to lead into it. Some random low profile schmuck that is comically op for the sake of it (gotta wrap up the manga I think?) and a grim future.
What is the point now? It is completely out of character forced and the change happened randomly. It is clear that she will fuck all the other guys now, whatever, that was always the endgame, but the way we got there is just so infuriatingly poorly done- heck it wasn't done at all. It just happened. Boom.
What a kick into the face of any dedicated reader. Shame on me for expecting anything at all.

This manga is annoying. Not the good shoujo annoying, mind you, this manga plain sucks major dogshit at conflict- setting it up, introducing it, characters reacting to it, it being interesting or not and how it plays out etc. This manga suddenly turns absolutely terrible at everything as soon as the tiniest hint of drama drops. And it actually manages to ruin characters and most of the "story" when it comes up.
How? As for the story, let's say there is some teasing and hinting at MC's mysterious backstory that is majorly important to the main pair's relationship from the very first second. You are super
...
hype! Well, fuck you. Here are 10 (not exaggerated) chapters of drama. Out of nowhere. Unfair. Out of character. And the sweet little tiny crumb of lore is long forgotten and not elaborated on any further. Sweet!
The character bit works in tandem with the aforementioned. One example is something majorly important and heavy about MC being revealed and she reacts.. for one panel.. and then forgets and spends the next 10 chapters and 99% of her time (not exaggerated) flirting with, chilling with, fixing, helping and caring for the mental of some random other guy by doing the most inane and counter productive shit that completely is against progress in her main goal while also almost completely dismissing MC- to then shout out randomly, naturally to help the other guy, that "MC IS SUCH AN IDIOT FOR NOT NOTICING HOW I FEEL ~UWU~ QQ".
Sounds stupid? Yep. It 100% is. And the way we got there is bizarre and even more stupid and out of character.
This all amounts to what I mentioned first, it not being the good shoujo annoying that comes with angst or swaying or whatever. You actually feel angry and irritated, sadly mostly due to what she does, but also at pretty much every single character involved due to just how insanely hypocritical, two-faced and ridiculously inconsistent they all are.
The only other review to date (ch 13 and a minor spoiler) pretty much describes the same thing just 27 chapters earlier. Which, if thought about for longer than 5 seconds, is pretty sad.
I am just going to be real and straight out tell how it is, this manga is not fun. Everything good that was established and set up early was handled poorly and mostly disregarded to push out one of the most formulaic and badly written, heartless, drama galore shoujo of our time.
I initially thought that a Mixed Feelings recommendation would be the most obvious choice due to the somewhat enjoyable start but it only got worse across more than 27 chapters to the point that I can defend neither the author nor the work. Fool me once and the rest.
Why the 4/10 rating? If you don't care about anything but 24/7 drama, even if it is poor quality and can only exist by having everyone act out of character randomly, this is your holy grail.

10/10. Godly. The holy grail. Organic. Delightful. I am no fortuneteller. This might age poorly. But I believe chapter 40 of this manga to be one of the best placed and thought out chapters and endings to an arc in any romance manga possibly ever. I kneel.
If you're looking for consistent characters, wholesome relationships, some actual realism, a low risk story, some nostalgia and none of the bullshit that most romance manga come with, then search no further. This is the best thing at this point in time.
The series could be considered a slow burn but both high schoolers grow and develop with time and
...
the change in feelings and characters is evident to not only us, the readers, but also to both MCs. It never feels like a drag or artificially slowed down, hence the "could be considered".
Readers looking for the also sought after ~MCs start dating after 10 chapters~ might be disappointed at first but trust me, it is just as good and worth the read.
I must confess, the MCs are a bit childish even for a (late) high school setting. But that just adds to the charme. If you are/were a bit dorky or quirky in school you will be able to relate on a different level. That's it. Might be a positive to some and not to others.
This is where the "childishness" ties into the story- everything revolves around going home and the romance that is found in each and every small thing that comes with it. Sounds weird? It is at first. But it is so incredibly endearing, I caught myself smirking and squirming multiple times. Truly a sight for sore hearts.
And while the going home and romance part might seem shallow and redundant at first, it has depth to it (apart from the aforementioned developments) and ties into the story as a whole and really well at that.
I actually felt the need to review this masterpiece after chapter 40 and reading what Shun's grandma told Chokki at the end of the arc. Absolute genius and high impact, moreso after just having experienced it herself and we the reader through her. I did not think to meet such profound writing in an at first seemingly simple wacky wholesome feel good manga. It went full circle. There is meaning to everything. Cinema.
I for one found myself taking the more chill route back home and pacing myself while keeping my eyes open for things I might enjoy, like the neat café I came across. Although only when there is time and energy to spare.
It might not mean much to most but I believe that, apart from not biting off more than it can chew and doing everything it wants to do perfectly, this might just be another tiny bit of testament as to why this deserves a 10/10 rating.

Do you enjoy normalized and downplayed misogyny? Authors taking actual recurring sexual assault, sexual harassment, kidnapping, home invasion, coercion, stockholm syndrome and NTR lightly? Putting absolutely no research into said contents and rattling them down in the most dismissive, harmful and disgusting way possible?
This is your holy grail. But not only that! You get one of the most egregious bait and switches possibly ever, the godly combo. The author doesn't even bother hiding their troubled mind behind the veil of sweet shoujo after a certain point.
Don't get me wrong! Yeah, you get a pretty damn good shoujo for about 20 chapters! Until his brother appears,
...
that is. I clearly won't spoil anything but you might just know where this is going. Somewhere pretty bad to say the least!
And the author somehow lost themselves in that one character and went "fuck it, this is my fave. I must be a genius, creating this godlike creature! Let's change the manga a bit to accomodate him even tho he has no actual organic place in the story. A small sob story will surely help! Let's also make him magnetically attached to the female lead! This will work! Somehow!".
BAM! Both MCs changed into damsel weak pushover bystander overdrive. They literally turn into two of those Buzz Lightyears on the toy store's wall.
So what if her portrayal is mostly distasteful by now?!? It is SO freaking fun, trust me! You just need to turn off your brain and enjoy what the author randomly forced to enable the brother! It is good writing, trust me! Even if legit 0% of what made this manga good remains!
I have hope! So what if chapter 29 has a literal super villain go "heh, you have been happily dating for 20+ chapters? No! Let me, a literal stranger, insert myself into your relationship. I already have infinite agency over both of you and I myself declare the quest of NTRing her!" with both of the MCs just agreeing mindlessly.
It. Is. Good. Writing. !!! Trust me. Her now allowing him to manhandle her in front of her boyfriend for the 10th time and only fight back when about to be kissed and violated for the 4th time after forcing yet another 1on1 situation is ABSOLUTELY CRUCIAL to the story. The quest! The adventure!
Women don't mind a bit of evil! Bad boys are IN. She HAS to be thoughtful towards him and actually engage him! Criminal past.. or, well, present be damned!
Yes, it is bizarre. The introduction of that overpowered character that has aura strong enough to bend laws and to change whole other characters simply by being in their vicinity has to be the author's magnum opus. Gold in mental gymnastics.
I do not take issue with authors having favorite characters. I do take major issue with authors forcing their ideal characters into a running and established work by changing important stuff.
If you were to tell me "yeah, that is a self insert and the author was probably cucked by their bro or in love with their partner" I would not be able to refute or argue against you, at all. Simply due to how the character is inserted and what they are allowed to get away with. Insanity.
The author does not respect their own creations. Not the world, not the characters, not the story. The author does not respect the readers. This is the lowest of the lowest possible effort in a shoujo and it turning into a personal mission midway through certainly doesn't help.
Why should anyone take their time of day + money and spend it on this.. steaming pile of self destructing dogshit, with all due respect and nicely said.
I for one can not recommend reading a work that has inconsistent characters, is deleting established dynamics to force new ones in the worst way possible, possibly dealing actual damage to readers with how dismissive some heavy themes are portrayed (this actually is a major gripe of mine) due to no research and comedy-romance > all (this manga is NOT funny at all, mind you).

First off, I did quite like this series at first. Not a 10/10 but I would have rated it good for what it was. The most recent chapter completely ruined most of what the manga worked on setting up to this point. (genre switch, female lead behavior + mental, low effort and quality content/drama to easily get a conclusion, MCs relationship)
It feels like a weird time to review but the thing is, this is a somewhat controversial work. If the author handles something this important this poorly and this early, even if just once, I am dreading the future and when it comes to turning
...
this into a longer running series.
The initial message is lost, the story randomly put on hold and we are in this limbo of "what the fuck is this? Is she retarded? Why did she randomly degrade from being an adult? What is the point now? Huh?".
Furthermore, the aspect of displaying certain values, virtues, establishing a decade long relationship (a reach to call it that for a lack of better words), working into ethics and morals around said relationship etc. is all gone, bam, just like that. Just as we start to venture into her mind and get some complex thoughts going, a kick in your face, SHOUJO!? The worst kind of drama. Completely predictable.
You finish reading chapter 11 and think to yourself "whew, this was pretty good! Let's see where this goes!". Next chapter, first panel, you already dread what is coming. It is completely obvious.
The female lead brainwashes herself as if chapter 11 didn't just happen and, in the span of 1 chapter, degrades herself to do something incredibly disrespectful to the male lead, utterly hurtful, it reads just like those hardcore Shoujo series (I do like the majority of Shoujo series, there just is a certain subgenre that goes too far imo).
The new character hopefully is gone by the time the next update is around. I will instantly drop this manga for good if the playboy that instantly put his hands on her and suggested sex "as a joke" turns into a recurring character. Her kinda playing along with him was enough already, thanks.
And that is not what I signed up to read. That is a bait and switch and, personally, warrants a drop and negative review- I went for a mixed as there might be people looking just for that stuff, tho- that stuff being low qual formulaic fast food shoujo. Enjoy!
Tbh, what happened here makes it hard for me to argue with reviews that question their relationship and what her endgame is. It went from "there might be more to this.." to "pack it up. He is too old for her now and she doesn't enjoy what he turned into so onto another male specimen we go. Might try grooming again later!". It is handled POORLY.
She just had this crazy important heart to heart and realization and this is what she decides on doing..? Wild. Completely opposite to what was established just seconds before and so devoid of sense behind it other than to enable all these tools to push the worst kind of drama.
I can't explain it other than the author has to be confused on how to handle some of the aforementioned aspects and went for a different approach + some really weird out of nowhere major changes in characters. Even the awkward, unrelatable really exaggerated healthy high schooler is ever so slightly different. It feels like you went through 20 chapters of "progress" in some panels and now you're stuck in another dimension.
You are watching a speedrun on youtube but there is a car crash inserted randomly that is going slow-mo and idk anymore, lmao.
Again, everything is confusing and confused.
Do you like low effort ragebait level poor development? Baiting complex themes to leave you in the dirt?
The woman of your dreams goes along with your approaches for a decade to then fully disregard you and mentally turns into a 15 year old (she is 30+ btw) the moment she gets played by a hot stranger playboy? But sure, it is completely necessary to her development (it is so bullshit ass)! Read this. Right now! Swoon~
If you enjoy coherent and consistent high quality series that have depth to them as they explore a plethora of social norms and their moral and ethic implications with characters not acting arbitrarily, wholly against something established just hours ago (in manga time) and the very real possibility of all that being dropped just to push some tools and drama and it happening again, you might want to just skip this one.
Yeah, sure, horny hot art ooga booga brain off just read moment, true but there was so much more here and I do hope this is but a slight hiccup by the author.
