This is ultimately a story about tragedy, the difficulties of succession/ living up to expectations, dealing with shady people to get your way, valuing the ones around you and making the most of those fleeting moments, living lies to make others or yourself feel better, moving on from the past and accepting tragedy.

The stories that are great having shocking twists or bittersweet endings like this one, we have gotten used to stories where everyone lives and is happy and when an ending like this rarely comes around it is polarizing for sure, but i personally believe this polarizing bittersweet ending as well as the ... fact that a main character's entire life is for the sole purpose of bringing about the dream of another character and to only die when that mission is complete to finish their task as well as ultimately helping the other main character finally and truly let go of their past is not only a bold direction to take but a truly impactful, sad, yet ultimately fulfilling conclusion to a story, sure it is not without its flaws, but ultimately as a complete package, i think that this is one of the greatest stories ever told and one that can only ever be told in this medium of manga/ anime.
A 10/10 from me even with its flaws (Kana being the main flaw even though her flaws were integral to the story)

это действительно вершина фантастики :D i truly recommend this show to anyone who has watched many romance anime and feel as though they are burned out from them. There is plenty here to feel comfortably familiar while enough is done to separate this show from other romance anime. Furthermore, the budget and love for the adaptation is INSANE, the art style and different songs and endings for each episode make the show feel hand crafted with love even more than just the content within each episode.
As a side note, ... if you do read the manga pretty much everything is extremely similar though dialogue was changed even though all plot points happen the same way as to the anime.
In conclusion, for people that love romance anime and have felt burn out on it, or people that are just getting into romance/ slice of life anime, this show with its gimmick provide enough to stand out from the crowd while also offering what you would expect from the genre to still feel comfortable. Every joke lands and every cute moment is overwhelmingly cute. Definitely clear time in your week to watch this, Наслаждайтесь и Айла лучшая девочка ;D

(MINOR SPOILERS) This series is very unexpectedly wholesome. I enjoyed every second of it. The only critiques I have about it are only small things but other than I can't complain.

Story: 8.5
The story and setting are very good. I would say more but I would probably spoil it but I will say the little things about the story that kept this from being a 9. In the beginning of the show like the first four episodes the pacing to me felt a little to fast though this did not harm the story in anyway. But the second thing that kept this from being a 9 ... will be a minor spoiler but two characters that are introduced are first antagonists to Tamahiko and Yuzuki but then become friends which is great though I feel that also happens a little too fast though since this was limited to twelve episodes I can understand why it would be paced a little faster.

Art: 9
Personally I think the art style style is great even though it is simplistic and how they were able to do so much with this simplistic style. The background pieces are also designed really nice as well. I love complex art styles as much as anyone else but I love when simplicity is done right and I feel like the art style here is a perfect example of that.

Sound: 8
I feel like the music choices where very fitting and I loved that little song Yuzuki would sing.

Character growth: 8.5
I feel like character growth for everyone was natural and did not feel forced. But what is most important is that it felt realistic or as much as it could be. Though Tamahiko's father and older sister did not change one bit from being heartless rich snobs though I suspect that changes the further the story progresses in the manga but it does not happen here in the anime.

Enjoyment and Overall: 8.5
I loved this show a lot and highly recommend it to anyone who likes romance or even historical stuff. If there is a season two ever I feel like that would get a 9 from me because it would resolve some unresolved things and would also have much more wholesome and cute moments between Tamahiko and Yuzuki.

I only knew about Jahy-sama from when it was announced for it getting an adaptation, so I did not expect to be blown away or anything like that. I enjoyed watching it but it is not a show to write home about.

Story: 7
The story is mostly just a set up to get the characters in comedic situations and only for that purpose you will especially notice that when you get to the end of the show, not that it is a bad thing. Jahy becomes more open and more kind while everyone else usually sticks to their given character trope and does not deviate.

Art: ... 8 Sound: 7
The art is very good especially since silver link was animating it and did a very good job with the animation. The funny faces and expressions that would be made were also well animated as expected though nothing very notable besides that. The art style overall was very cute.

As for sound the music was fitting for the scenes they used it in though I can not think of anything notable. That second intro is obnoxious but I love it for that reason so that's something. If you count voice acting as part of the sound I would say the voice acting was great and fit all of the characters but nothing remarkable.

Enjoyment and Overall: 7
For overall enjoyment I enjoyed watching it and gave me an anime to look forward to every saturday though like I said nothing particularly outstanding about it. Jahy-sama is just a good show to watch just for the sake of it though I imagine the 20 episodes instead of the average 12 or 13 will scare some people off but if you stick around and watch it all you will not feel like you waisted your time or anything.
