Okay, you guys need to hear me out on this one. I picked up Kimi wa Midara na Boku no Joou (which is a mouthful, I know) because I saw the art style and realized it was by Mengo Yokoyari, the same artist as Oshi no Ko. I went in just curious, but I ended up binge-reading the entire thing in one sitting because it is ACTUALLY so good??
First of all, let’s address the elephant in the room: yes, this manga is very open. Like, do not read this on the bus or in the living room with your parents, lol. It’s definitely intense in
...
that department. But the crazy thing is, unlike a lot of other series that just rely on "fan service," this one actually has a genuinely great story? The premise involves this weird "control" magic that forces their inner thoughts out, which creates the funniest and most chaotic situations ever. I was literally laughing out loud at how desperate and awkward the main guy is, but then two pages later, the tension gets so high I was screaming at my screen. It balances being hilarious and being super intense perfectly.
Now, can we talk about Subaru, the female lead? If you are reading Oshi no Ko, you are going to have massive déjà vu. In the actual panels (maybe not the covers as much, but definitely in the story), she looks EXACTLY like Ruby Hoshino. It is actually wild. There were so many moments where she made a pouty face or got flustered and I was like, "Ruby, girl, what are you doing in a romance manga like this?!" It’s kind of a trip, but the art is gorgeous, so I love it.
Also, Subaru is top-tier Tsundere material. I usually find tsunderes kind of annoying if they are too mean, but she does it so well. Because of the magic system, you get to see her "high and mighty" queen act, but you also see how she actually feels, which is super sweet. The gap between her cold attitude and her true feelings is adorable. She completely owns the story.
The best part is that it’s short. It doesn’t drag on with 100 chapters of misunderstandings. It delivers the comedy, the romance, and the spicy stuff fast and well. And the ending? Totally satisfying. It wraps everything up nicely, which is rare for short manga like this.
If you want something that looks amazing, makes you laugh, and hits the romance feels (while being totally shameless about it), you have to read this.

Alright, I have to get this off my chest. I just finished binge-watching "Midara na Ao-chan wa Benkyou ga Dekinai" and I'm honestly shocked that more people aren't obsessed with this. I saw the score on here and was a little hesitant, but I'm SO glad I gave it a shot because it's an absolute riot from start to finish.
The story itself is just perfect for a comedy. You have Ao-chan, who is desperately trying to focus on her studies to get into a good university, but her brain has been completely warped by her erotica-novelist dad. When she develops a crush on the most
...
wholesome guy ever, Kijima, her mind goes into overdrive, turning every single normal interaction into something totally scandalous. It's so funny and just gets more hilarious as she digs herself into deeper and deeper holes of misunderstanding.
What really makes this anime shine, though, is the production. The animation is super bright and expressive, which is exactly what a show like this needs. The visual gags and, most importantly, Ao-chan's PEAK facial expressions are brought to life perfectly. You can literally feel her soul leaving her body in every scene. And the voice acting? The VAs were amazing! Ao-chan's voice actress absolutely nailed the panicked internal monologues and sudden outbursts. You could hear the sheer desperation in her voice, and it made everything ten times funnier.
If you've read the manga, you'll be happy to know that the anime is a really great adaptation. It follows the source material really well, so you get to see all your favorite chaotic moments fully animated and voiced, which is awesome. The show also wraps up with a great ending that feels super rewarding and sweet after all the craziness. It doesn’t just end abruptly; it gives you a really nice sense of closure.
Honestly, this show does not deserve the low rating it has at all. It's a hilarious, well-made, and surprisingly wholesome rom-com. If you're looking for something that's easy to watch (the episodes are short!) and will genuinely make you laugh out loud, please give this a try. Don't let the score fool you! It's an easy 9/10 from me. It's a total hidden gem.

I just finished reading "Midara na Ao-chan wa Benkyou ga Dekinai" and I had to come here and just scream about it for a bit. If you've seen the anime, you already know what a chaotic gem this story is, and trust me, the manga is just as good, if not even better!
First off, the story is just SO. GOOD. The whole premise of Ao-chan, whose dad is a wild erotica author, trying her best to be a normal, studious girl so she can get away from him is already hilarious. But then she gets a crush on the most popular, pure-hearted guy in school,
...
Kijima, and her brain just completely short-circuits. Everything he does, her mind twists it into something super lewd and it's honestly the funniest thing ever. I was literally cackling reading this in my room. The situations she gets herself into because of her crazy imagination are top-tier comedy.
And can we please talk about the ART?! The expressions in this manga are always PEAK. Like, seriously, the artist deserves an award. The way Ao-chan's face goes from determined student to a blushing, panicking mess in 0.2 seconds is priceless. You can feel her internal screaming through the pages, lol. Every panel is drawn with so much energy that you can't help but get sucked in and laugh along with her (or at her, let's be real). It really grabs your attention and makes the jokes hit so much harder.
For anyone who watched the anime, the manga syncs up with it really well. It feels like you're revisiting your favorite funny moments but you get to appreciate the amazing artwork in its original form. It totally captures that same chaotic and funny vibe.
What I also loved is that it wasn't just random gags forever. The story actually goes somewhere and has a really great ending! I won't spoil anything, but it was super satisfying and sweet, and it wrapped up their story so perfectly. It just left me with a big, goofy smile on my face.
Overall, I'd give this a solid 8/10. If you're looking for a rom-com that will genuinely make you laugh out loud and has a super cute (and chaotic) main couple, you HAVE to pick this up. It's a light, fun, and hilarious read. Highly recommended!

Seriously, Why is this Score So Low?! An Actual Hidden Gem!
Overall Rating: 9/10
OKAY can we just talk about how this show has a 6-something on here?? Ngl, that's a total crime. I clicked on this show expecting some generic, mid-tier rom-com and I was SO wrong. I’m writing this review because I need more people to watch this masterpiece of chaos.
If you love stuff like Konosuba, you will literally love this. It’s got that same chaotic energy where every episode is pure comedy gold. The jokes aren't just random; they're super relatable if you've ever played an MMO. The lag, the endless grinding for items
...
that never drop, the one person who accidentally logs out during a boss fight... I felt SO seen. Even the ecchi moments are played for laughs instead of just being lazy fan service, which was a huge plus for me.
The whole story starts because our MC, Hideki, got his heart broken years ago by confessing to a girl in-game who turned out to be a dude. So now, he's totally convinced there are no real girls online. The plot twist when he finally meets his guild in real life is just the beginning of the hilarious mess that follows. The way the show plays with that whole gender-reveal and online scamming trope is honestly amazing and leads to some of the biggest laughs.
And the characters! Let's talk about Akane (aka Schwein). Omg, she is the best tsun girl. Like, she tries so hard to be all angry and "I hate you!" but the situations she gets into are just… hilarious. The plot twists that happen around her are some of the funniest parts of the whole show, I was not expecting them at all. The main couple, Hideki and Ako, are also super cute in their own dysfunctional gamer way. It’s a genuinely funny rom-com dynamic.
I've seriously rewatched this twice and it still makes me laugh so hard I cry. The animation is clean, the voice actors are perfect for their roles, and it’s just a super fun, feel-good show that doesn't take itself too seriously.
So yeah, don't let the low MAL score fool you. This anime is criminally underrated. This is EASILY an 8 for any normal person, but for me, it's a solid 9/10. Give it a watch, you won't regret it! ✨

tbh.. I was scrolling for a new show to binge, expecting another OP main character getting isekai'd, and then I found Nihon e Youkoso Elf-san. Let me tell you, this show completely flips the script, and I'm so here for it.
The biggest plot twist ever? The MC doesn't go to the fantasy world... the fantasy world comes to HIM. Yep, a literal, super-cute elf named Marie gets transported into modern-day Japan. It's such a refreshing change from the usual formula, and honestly, it's what got me hooked from the very first episode.
The whole vibe of the show is basically: food, adventure, food, adventure, food, adventure...
...
and it just keeps going like that forever, but in the best way possible! It's like the coziest comfort show you could ask for. One minute, the main character, Kazuhiro, is introducing Marie to the magic of instant ramen, and the next, they're on a mini-trip to explore a local shrine. Every single dish looks so ridiculously good; this anime is legit food porn and will make you hungry, guaranteed.
What I loved most is that it feels like a real journey, but in our world. Instead of exploring some generic fantasy kingdom, we get to see Japan through the eyes of someone who's never even seen a car before. Seeing her amazed by stuff we think is normal, like trains, convenience stores, and vending machines, is both hilarious and super wholesome. It’s like watching a travel vlog hosted by an elf, and it makes you appreciate the little things in our own world a lot more.
And the romance? It's a super sweet and funny rom-com. The chemistry between Kazuhiro and Marie is just adorable. He’s so patient and kind, and she’s so full of wonder. Their interactions are the heart of the show, and you can't help but smile like an idiot whenever they're on screen together. It's not about saving the world; it's about sharing a meal and enjoying each other's company.
Plus, the animation is so clean and pretty! The character designs are cute, and as I said, the food art is on another level. The voice actors also did an amazing job, making the characters feel so genuine and alive.
If you're tired of the same old power-fantasy isekai and just want to watch something chill, funny, and heartwarming, you HAVE to give this a try. It’s the perfect show to just relax with after a long day. 10/10 would recommend for the cozy vibes alone!

So, I totally clicked on this manga because the title was ridiculously long, "Saikyou Ninja no Boku ga Maou no Musume-tachi no Maid ni Natta Ken." I mean, a legendary ninja becoming a maid for the Demon Lord's daughters? It sounded like the most random thing ever, but OMG, I'm so happy I gave it a chance!
The story is way better than I expected. You'd think it would be just a bunch of gags, but there are actually great story arcs and some real plot development. It follows this super OP ninja named Jin who just wants a simple, normal job after a life of
...
assassination. Of course, he somehow ends up as the personal maid for three demon princesses. The way he uses his insane ninja skills to do household chores is just peak comedy, I swear. It never gets old watching him use legendary techniques to bake a perfect cake or dust a shelf.
Let's talk about the characters, because they are everything! Jin is absolutely hilarious. He’s so powerful but also so clueless about, like, normal life, and his deadpan reactions to everything are the best. And the princesses are all amazing in their own way, but you gotta love Diana. She is such a classic tsundere, but not in an annoying way, you know? Her attempts to be all high and mighty before turning into a blushing mess are just super cute and funny. Their interactions are the heart of the manga and always make me laugh out loud.
Can we also take a moment to appreciate the art? Seriously, the art is so fine, it's gorgeous. Everything is so clean and detailed, and the character designs are just adorable. Even the fight scenes look incredible! It's one of those mangas where you can tell the artist really put a lot of love into every panel.
Honestly, this manga is just so much fun and an absolute joy to read. It's the perfect mix of comedy, action, and surprisingly wholesome moments. It's definitely worth reading if you're looking for something that will just make you smile. Don't let the crazy premise fool you, this is a top-tier series.

Okay, look. Sometimes you’re just scrolling and want to watch something that requires absolutely zero brainpower. I get it. You might see the wild title for Hitozuma no Kuchibiru wa Kan Chuuhai no Aji ga Shite, and your curiosity might get the best of you. This review is for you.
First off, this is a super short anime. The episodes are only a few minutes long, making the whole series very simple and fast-paced. You can literally finish the whole thing in less time than it takes to make instant noodles. The format is pretty straightforward: it follows the same main character, but each episode introduces
...
a different housewife for him to... uh... interact with.
I was honestly shocked that the episodes had actual "stories," but they do! Each one has its own little scenario, and what I really didn't expect were the parodies. The show leans into the most ridiculous ecchi tropes so hard that it loops back around to being genuinely funny sometimes. It knows it's absurd and just has fun with it.
Now, for the real reason I’m writing this. Regarding the details of those "interactions," I have no further comment, lmao. You’ll just have to use your imagination. What I will comment on is the viewing experience. This is absolutely, 100% not safe to watch in public. I cannot stress this enough. And honestly, I have to give a special warning to the girlies out there. As a woman, you better not watch this in public. LOL. The potential for someone to glance over at your screen is just way too high, and the second-hand embarrassment would be lethal. This is a strictly headphones-on, door-locked, nobody-else-home kind of show. Consider this your official warning!

It's honestly so wild to me that Double Play is finally finished - I guess.. I’ve been reading this since the very first chapter dropped years ago, and it’s been such a journey. This manga is one of my all-time favorites because it’s so unique and interesting; I’ve never read anything else quite like it. It’s the kind of story that breaks all your expectations.
On one hand, you get this amazing, sporty-romance that is super motivational. The main plot is about our MC, a guy who was basically a genius but completely gave up on his dream. He gets a second chance when his
...
childhood friend, who is now a famous star player, comes back into his life. The best part? The star player has secretly been admiring our MC the whole time, and that belief is what helps the MC revive his passion. It’s so inspiring, and the story also has these great slice-of-life moments that are just chill and sweet, which makes the plot feel really well-rounded.
But then… there’s the other side of the story. And omg, this is where it gets crazy. That "admiring" childhood friend is a 100% yandere stereotype. I’m not kidding. She is possessive, intense, and completely obsessed with the MC. And let me just say, the tension that creates is a definite turn-on. The story gets so heated, and the dynamic between them is just this raw, passionate, and kinda dangerous thing that’s honestly so addictive to read.
Somehow, this manga balances the wholesome sports story with the insane obsessive romance perfectly. Watching their relationship evolve all the way to the end, where they are genuinely in love, has been such a satisfying payoff. It’s an amazing read from start to finish.

Okay, so I just caught up with the first few chapters of this manga, and I have... a lot of mixed feelings, for real. The cover art looked pretty cool, so I decided to give it a try, but wow, this is not the light-hearted romance I was expecting. Not even close.
First things first, let's get straight to the point: the male lead is a yakuza dude who is completely and utterly obsessed with the main girl. When I say obsessed, I don't just mean he’s a little clingy. He is the definition of overprotective, possessive, and obsessive. It’s a 100% textbook yandere stereotype story.
...
If you've ever read a manga with a yandere character before, you know exactly what the vibe is here. It’s kinda exhausting to read, to be honest. He’s always watching her, controlling who she talks to, and has that scary look in his eyes.
But at the same time..... it's weirdly interesting? Ngl, even though I was getting tired of his antics, I couldn't really stop reading. You just want to see how far his obsession will go and how the female character is going to handle this super intense situation.
Just a heads-up, this story is playing it completely serious so far. Don’t expect any comedy or fluffy moments to break the tension, because there are none. It's all drama and intensity. I mean, it's still got only a few chapters, so who knows what the author plans to do later, but right now, it’s a pretty heavy read. If you’re looking for a manga that will make your brain work overtime and leave you feeling mentally drained, you can definitely consider this one. It's the kind of story that's hard to process.
Personally, it didn't really meet my expectations. I guess I was hoping for something more than just the standard yandere plot. So, I’m just gonna rate it a 6/10 for now. It’s the bare minimum; the art is decent and the story does what it says it’s gonna do, but it's not something I'm super hyped to follow. Recommended only if you're a hardcore fan of the yandere trope.

Okay, can we just talk about Naru Narumi for a second? The moment I saw she was writing a new story, I was already sold. This is the same author who gave us the absolute masterpiece of a rom-com, Watari-kun, and the super chill slice of life, Ramen Daisuki Koizumi-san. She has so much range, it’s crazy! So, going into Norainu to Tenshi-chan, my expectations were super high, and let me tell you, she did not disappoint.
If you were a fan of Watari-kun, you NEED to pick this up right now. It has that same perfect blend of genres that made Watari-kun so special. One
...
minute you're laughing at the cute rom-com stuff, and the next, it hits you with some real psychological depth that makes you pause and think. It’s a story that feels both sweet and a little bit dangerous, and it's that balance that makes it so addictive.
The whole concept is just so unique and out-of-the-box. The story is about these two characters, Touji and Sakuya, who are definitely not your typical manga couple. He’s nicknamed the "Stray Dog" and she's the "Angel," but they are so much more complex than their labels suggest. Their interactions are weird, sometimes intense, and always super interesting to read. It’s not a straightforward romance; it’s a bizarre and fascinating look at two very unique people finding each other. Seriously, if you want a rom-com that breaks the mold, this is it. An absolute must-read!
