This manga is extremely problematic.
The two main characters have an eight-year age gap (15 and 23), and the student–teacher relationship is disturbing rather than cute.
It felt like blatant manipulation of a minor, and I genuinely don’t understand why something like this was published.
I enjoyed the mangaka’s other works, but this one crossed a line and should never have been written this way.
What makes it even worse is that they end up together and it’s portrayed as a happy ending.

The art style is technically fine and polished, and it fits a typical shoujo aesthetic

The characters are flat and lack depth. While this usually wouldn’t bother ...

The artwork is really beautiful—every single drawing feels well thought out, and the paneling has a very smooth reading flow. I find the character designs especially cute, with lots of expression.

The story itself is quite nice and clearly aimed at a younger audience (around ages 10–14), but I still had a lot of fun with it. You can tell the manga doesn’t take itself too seriously, and that’s exactly how I think it should be read.

I genuinely empathized with the characters and really liked the ending. The overall length of the manga also felt just right, especially thanks to the well-structured panels.

The dynamic between the two main characters is really sweet, and I found the length to be just right. It never feels dragged out or rushed.

Overall, it’s a solid boys’ love manga and an easy recommendation—you really can’t go wrong with this title if you’re in the mood for something light and wholesome. The artwork is nice, even if it doesn’t particularly stand out, which will probably make it appealing to a lot of readers.

I read the manga in German, so I’m not entirely sure whether I only read volume 1 or if it was a 2-in-1 edition.

Mixed Feelings
This manga works as a bonus companion to the Nintendo DS and PlayStation 2 game and gives the characters more time to shine, letting their personalities and quirks come through more clearly.

The overall vibe is very warm and friendly, and the way the characters interact with each other makes it really pleasant to read. The art style is also very charming and easy on the eyes, which adds a lot to the cozy feeling of the manga. It’s definitely a good pick if you’re looking for something light and relaxing.

That being said, from a modern perspective, some ideas—especially the heavy focus on excessive weight loss—can ...

Akira Toriyama is a talented mangaka who knows how to create a fun manga about manga itself. While it’s clearly not aimed at professionals—and is more suited for a younger or teenage audience
I still had a great time reading it.

The manga offers interesting insights into Toriyama’s general workflow and creative process, making it especially enjoyable for readers who are curious about how manga are made. As a bonus, it’s surprisingly motivating for anyone who wants to start creating their own manga.

That said, some of the information may feel a bit outdated, especially since many modern mangaka no longer work traditionally.

Great opening and ending — but what the hell???

I thought Wedding Peach was for little girls and not for gooners.
I really hate how extremely they sexualized those girls — it’s insane.
I didn’t know Wedding Peach had such a big following of weird men, and it’s clear they just capitalized on that.
But they really shouldn’t have done this in the first place.

It’s like sexualizing Sailor Moon in an OVA episode for no freaking reason.
I actually like Wedding Peach, but you can clearly see that the producers just wanted a quick cash grab and didn’t care about the source material.

The movie is so good because of the great character building and how they act, what they want to achieve, and how their goals drive the story.
I really like when Ghibli sets their stories in historically accurate settings.
I also appreciate how they talk about World War I and World War II — because studios like Ghibli can give a deeper understanding of people chance because of war.

I really recommend this movie.
To be honest, I don’t understand why it isn’t as popular as other Ghibli films — maybe it’s because of the more mature nature of the story? or I am just a little delulu and ...

I went to the cinema back then when we had an official German release, and I was really hyped — but I left with a pretty neutral feeling.
It’s a super pretty anime, and I really like the setting, but to be honest, it just wasn’t a 10/10 for me.
In my opinion, the movie is a little too long for what it actually is.

That said, I have to admit I really liked the ending (the last 3 minutes) — it’s a weirdly romantic ending that worked for me.
I’d watch it again if I had the chance, but I’m not sure if my opinion would change for ...

If you consider how old the story is and how hard it might have been to address queer topics back then, the anime is good enough for being a retro Shounen Ai / Yaoi.

To be honest, I wouldn’t watch it again — but I have to say the setting was refreshing, and the melancholic tone worked well. You can watch the full movie on YouTube.

The animation is mid, and I don’t care much about the characters — but maybe I’m being too harsh.
I’d recommend it, but I’d also say there are other shows that are more interesting and worth your time.

It’s super boring, not gonna lie.

The story is nothing special at all, and I don’t see why people like this anime so much.
I think there are way better stories about disabled people and how they live their lives.
Also, I don’t like that the story focuses more on the bully than on the girl herself — it’s more about the guy who chose to be an asshole than about the girl, who couldn’t do anything about it in the first place.

Of course, the movie is super pretty, and of course, some people see these topics differently then me, but I personally don’t think it’s that ...
