This might seem contradictory considering my scores of the normal donghua, but this "chibi" version is light hearted and cute to the point where I have nothing bad to say about it. The episodes are short with "snapshots" of Wei Wuxian's adolescence.
My skin becomes hydrated every time I see an update for a new episode. The intro with the chibi dancing characters are so adorable I just want to pinch their cheeks.
I especially like how they're using quite a few details from the book's "extra chapters" (the fluffy ones, not the 18+ ones for obvious reasons lol) such as Wangji trying out fried

First things first: There are actually 23 episodes currently as I write this, NOT 15. Ya'll should fix that.
Okay, onto my thoughts: This is mainly a me thing. I disliked this donghua because it doesn't feel like the characters I grew to love. Most of my issues with it is, largely nitpicking and I recognize my bias. DISCLAIMER: I started with the book and live action. However, I struggled attempting to watch the donghua because it's...
