WOWOWOW I almost missed this in my radar. How is it that it's not listed as ROMANCE being a main component of this anime? I mean, literally it has one of the hottest romances of any anime I've watched!

Honestly the king, Charioce/Chris is to die for...at least he fits my kind of guy to a T. Strong, silent, has a gentle side, easily misunderstood, passionate to his cause, and serious but with a fun side too!

And I also love that they made the main female character strong and capable. Not only that but she doesn't do the regular BS of hiding her feelings and being ... a coward and being super girly like in most animes. She's honest about her feelings and who she is, she's lively and energetic and full of spunk. At first I didn't like the way she looked (didn't look as beautiful as the other main female characters) but the way she presented her emotions and her frankness really captivated me. Indeed I must admit I enjoyed both main characters a lot.

SPOILER ALERT! As far as the plot, it made sense to me...even up at the point where Nina is betrayed by Charioce. I not only understood why he did it but admire him for it! I believe he was trying to protect her and everyone else as well as being committed to his original cause. Who likes a wavering heart!

I just couldn't get enough of the moments of Charioce and Nina, I wish there were more! And the end...as sad as it is, I'm glad it's not the usual happy ending where everyone comes out okay and everything is as before.

The characters are drawn so beautifully too that you can't help but have the hots for some of them.

Spoiler Alert!

First of all, this should have been a 2 hour movie instead of 12 short episodes. Secondly, I did not find the main female character to be likable at all. I don't even know what he liked about her other than her beauty. She's clumsy, a coward, and other than that she really likes him, there's no resounding talent or amazing character.

But I will say that I liked the art and story line. The plot has a lot of potential and is more mature than the romances I've come across in other animes. And the male character is fairly likable, the strong and silent ... type. But all of the pros end there.

The series ends in the middle of a climatic point, WTF?! Left me more raged that they'd even output something like this.
