this show was surprisingly well paced for a comedy with only one obvious card to be played. i found the world standard, but each character interesting, if not charming. the animation was also gorgeous. obvious points for badass female lead, but i genuinely grinned through most all of every episode. the studio worked wonderfully to match the style to the period, and each outfit for differing scenes were all rendered beautifully. nothing groundbreaking sure, but it added so much charm to this weird fantasy europe.

The essential concept of the show is that instead of evolving into traditional humans, fish evolved into forms of humans that have various animalistic characteristics, whether that be to the effect of having a horse body, goat horns, or even looking like an angel. These people would clearly be different, so the show is set up to explore the whacky hijinks of accommodating for a 1500 pound horse girl AND a 4'11" small demon girl.
